  1. pretty much Sonnen is their leading candidate for every fight at this point. he's more marketable than the other 95% of the roster combined.

Except for the fact that he doesn't really bring the ratings like Dana and Meltzer wish he did.

  2. UFC teased Belfort vs. Sonnen at UFC 168 on UFC Tonight.  No, I'm not kidding.  UFC already lining up Sonnen's next headlining fight even before he loses his next one.

  4. Good gawd, who wants that fight?  And, sadly, Dana doesn't think Vitor has earned a title shot since losing to Anderson (despite him having the best wins at middleweight).

  5. It also doesn't help when no one knows who the hell the challenger is.  John Moraga's two previous fights on the UFC were literally the opening bouts on the each show.  He went from curtain jerker to main event.

  6. Meltzer reports that UFC 161: Evans vs. Henderson did 150,000 buys, setting the all-time low for PPVs since 2005.  Also, he pulled one of his classic Meltzer moves by readjusting UFC 162 from 800,000 buys to 550,000 buys.  Eh, what's 250,000 here or there?
