I found it amusing that 90% of the words Jinder spoke in "his language" were in English. I really hope they don't do a women's MITB match. Their roster is paper thin in terms of talent with two good workers and a few decent ones. Plus Becky has a history of concussions and doesn't need to be near ladders being thrown around by women with no experience working with them.
Are we going to talk about how much more over AJ was than Nakamura? Nak was playing FIP and the fans were chanting for AJ. I really don't think there's much of a NXT fan base crossover these days. Alpha has never been over on SDL after being a really over act in NXT.

Roode is closer to being the babyface ace of NXT than he is the top heel. I don't think they have another face as over as him. Maybe Alister Black will get there.
Asuka was acting like a heel on tv, but she really didn't do much heel stuff at Takeover that I can recall. I don't think Nikki needed to get pinned at the end, and I thought the overall match layout was a little weak. It's hard to get excited about an Ember Moon rematch with Hojo and Shirai signed. I'm sure the match will be fine, but Ember Moon is such a weak character. I actually think Nia Jax was Asuka's best opponent because she was the only one that looked like a real threat to Asuka. I wish they'd just let her work full heel already the Bayley's matches would've been way better.

JR and Nigel was an improvement over the regular NXT team.
I just watched a few of Veda's matches, and yeah the tournament is in big trouble if she's in the final 4 lol. She's not horrible, but I would say mediocre at best.

India is a huge market for WWE and they have a tour coming up. Don't kid yourself as to why Jinder really won the belt.

205 live is DITW no one cares about it, and Gargano working in front of dead crowds where 90% of the audience doesn't know who he is isn't going to change that.

Really enjoyable show with a great UK title match, and a hot angle to close. Man there was some dangerous shit in that ladder match both of DIY nearly died on that double splash. The ladder to Gargano's chin was gross. I know he has his critics, but that was a good performance by Roode against a bland and not very over face. None of the current NXT women including Ember should take the belt off Asuka. Roddy is a better tag worker than a singles guy, but the finish was hot.

I've been watching a lot of stuff lately, and I don't see any women who are in the same league as the top women from Japan(Io, Hojo, Satomura etc). 3 seems like a low number for Japan to me. I guess they have a few names up their sleeve.

The CWC had 9 from the US, 4 from Japan, 2 from Mexico, 2 from England, and 1 from Canada. I guess we'll see similar numbers from the women's tourney.
My guess for JR's partner would be Nigel or Graves.

Io does along with the moonsalt(Charlotte's move) 619 (Cesaro's move) running double knee(Almas' move) missle dropkick(Brie's move duh) etc etc. They could really get stupid with this move owning stuff if they wanted to. I think it's just someone trolling Meltzer.

If Ciampa can't go combine the Strong/Sanity and tag titles into one match. Strong teams with Gargano vs AOP and Sanity. Move Drew's match to the main show. They probably want to keep AOP and Sanity away from each other, but it's a ladder match no one has to get pinned.

If I were to sit down and make a list of my favorite rock/metal vocalists of all time Cornell would be in the discussion for the top spot. What shitty news this is. I was looking forward to another Soundgarden album as their last one was quite good. Badmotorfinger and Superunkown are two of the best rock albums of the 90's.

Plus one on Ohno/Almas being a fine match. Bad timing for Ohno coming back at the same time Drew Mac and Alister Black show up. They need more heels so I wouldn't mind seeing Ohno turn. I like Ruby, I like Ember, I think Nikki Cross is great, and I'm a big Peyton Royce fan. However with Kairi Hojo and Io Shirai signed I would be completely bummed out if we didn't get an Asuka Takeover title match against at least one of them.
Hojo is a fantastic babyface, and IMO is the perfect opponent for Asuka's current character. Io jumps off the screen as a special talent, and if her Lucha Underground appearance is any indication it'll take her about two seconds to get over.
If I had to pick someone from the current group for Asuka to drop the belt to it would be Nikki. She's on fire character wise, and the fans are starting to notice. She's better in the ring than what her character has allowed her to show, but as the fans start to babyface her she can start showing more of her wrestling ability. I selfishly want Asuka to stick around and go for two years as the champ. It feels like she's just hitting her stride a year+ into her title reign. With all the forced records crap WWE likes to do they have one here that feels natural.

I don't know if I ever want Asuka to lose her title. I could definitely see the women's title headlining a Takeover again with the Stardom girls coming in. I'm pretty shocked that both Drew and Alister Black will be on the pre show. I guess it's a plus if they can properly slow build those two for big matches down the line while still putting on a good show.

From what I've seen(which admittedly isn't much) I think Hojo would be the perfect opponent for Asuka's current character. She's just a naturally great underdog face. I get why Io vs Asuka is the dream match, but I wouldn't be surprised if Hojo vs Asuka ends up the better matchup.

The funny thing is Roman was getting the kind of reactions they wanted as an ass kicking let my fists do the talking baby face at the end of The Shield's run. Then they started giving him the Cena material and it was just a terrible fit. Then they chickened out of putting him over Brock at Mania because of the fan backlash, but he was so good in the match he had the crowd ready to accept him beating Brock by the end of it. I get why people thought he was over pushed, and I get why the fan base doesn't want another Cena, but to deny that Reigns is a good worker at this point is just silly.
