  1. Watched this tonight and it wasn't awful. I can't get over the finish of the first match being a second rope piledriver. Roadie must have learned it from Eric Embry. Jarrett was the mvp of the show though. Loved the musical performance and his match with HBK was outstanding. Rest of the show was pretty flat with a shitty main event and not so good tag matches.

  2. I think most of the Mojo section is his family. It used to be a handful but has grown over time. He really is over for the most part at Full Sail. I'm looking forward to him being a Heyman guy in about 2 years.

Bret looked stoned out of his mind but I guess that was the pain pills?

  3. I watched this tonight and it brought back a lot of memories. The opening 6 person tag was fun as hell. Wasn't that Trish's first match? She was already better than Aksana is now with years under her belt. Saturn/Eddie and the tag title match were good too. It's insane how small Eddie was in 2000 compared to like 2004. Also Bradshaw was huge and his promo rules. I also loved Val Venis techno remix of his theme. I remember liking the cage match it doesn't hold up very well. Jericho/HHH and Rock/Benoit hold up very well though. I can't believe they bleeped out Shane calling himself a pussy? Fun show with almost everything meaning something and a hot crowd.

  4.

Why can't they send his fat ass back to NXT to drop some weight?

Because NXT is on the Network and has more than 12 of Jim Cornette's friends watching each week.  OVW was just low rent enough that they could send an embarrassing looking superstar there, get him on the gas, and bring him back 6-12 months later without anyone noticing.

He's already back in NXT doing house shows and was at the last tapings.

  5. Good show tonight with the main event angle really selling the HHH/Bryan match for me. My favorite thing of the night though was Pirata Naomi. She should keep that look as it really makes her stand out from the rest. Well that and her outfit.

  6. Went to the NXT tapings tonight as they taped 4 more episodes that will last till about the end of April. Not a very good bunch of shows especially compared to the beginning of last year..

Kalisto had his debut match in the dark match beating El Local. He looked ok and was over but not a lot of highspots. Lots of kicks though.

First taping was the start of a lot of Sasha Banks matches. She had 3 in all. Lost to both Emma(1st taping), Bayley(second taping and teamed with Charlotte who beat Paige and Emma. I guess Charlotte is the new number 1 contender after beating Paige.

Speaking of new number 1 contenders, Brodus Clay is the new one for the NXT title. He returned from nowhere to beat Xavier Woods. After the match, he called out Neville and said he was getting no respect. Brodus attacked Sylvester Lefort after he had a match and then Neville accepted his challenge. This lead to a ok match in week 3 which Neville won after Brodus missed a splash on the floor and was counted out. Brodus looked in horrible shape

The best segment of the night was Occupy NXT with Bo Dallas. Bo wanted another title match and asked the NXT fans to occupy with him like Bryan. This lead to almost everyone turning their backs at him. He then snaps and it was way funnier than I described. JBL comes out and says Bo doesn't get a title shot and has to face Justin Gabriel. Bo won.

Other than that, not a lot happened. Corey Graves beat Sami Zayn after a injury angle. Sami was knocked loopy. The Ascencion had 3 matches. 2 Squashes and the main event of the evening where they teamed with Corey Graves in a losing effort vs The Usos and Sami Zayn in the best match of the night. Great Khali beat CJ Parker in a true Match of the year candidate.  Actually it wasn't that bad. Adam Rose had 1 match and now he has 4 guys dressed up in these big air suits as part of his posse. Tyler Breeze had 2 squashes which were short. No Solomon Crowe either.

Next taping is April 24th with Big E.  NXT has really taken a hit now that Cesaro and Summer Rae seem to be gone and Neville has gotten boring. Even people like Paige and Breeze aren't as over as they once were. NXT needs some new blood, especially heel divas as Sasha and Charlotte aren't good enough to hold it together.

  7. I watched Wrestle War 89 as the first ppv since i got the network working on My PS3. It played great with no buffering at all. The show was good with Flair/Steamboat of course being the best match. I thought I had seen all the Flair/Steamboat matches but I guess not. The chops were just brutal and I liked the judges angle. Also the thud when Terry Funk piledrives Flair on the table is sickening. I also liked the SST/Dynamic Dudes matches. The Bullrope match was disappointing but had a good finish. Why wasn't Flair/Steamboat the main event? Seemed like most of the crowd left after that match and didn't stick around for the Oak Ridge Boys. Good ppv overall.

    Too bad Muta/JYD didn't happen.

  8. i keep reading about how Mistico is claiming he has the rights to the Sin Cara Gimmick. Thats cool but why the hell would he want to work as Sin Cara ever again? That would be like if Terry Taylor had the rights to be Red Rooster, Im sure he wouldnt want to work as the Red Rooster.

Cause he doesn't have the rights to the Mistico name. He'd have to make a new name or go like LA Park and change the spelling.

  9. I'm more angry at WWE for the constant disrespect they show Mark Henry. Why they got to always feed him to Brock? That's not cool. Also, Where was Bad News Barrett? Barrett in Heyman's place would have been even more epic.

Good show otherwise. Loved the rematch of the 2013 match of the year even though it was short.

  10. Well the guy that booked NXT when it was really good early last year is now booking Smackdown isn't he?

NXT had another show at Full Sail tonight. Not a bad show but very long and 3 Corey Graves matches is almost as bad as 3 Ascension matches. Also Solomon Crowe debuted.

Lots of Divas matches took place. Charlotte beat Emma after faking a injury. Paige beat Sasha but was attacked by Charlotte. I'm guessing that's her next challenge. Bayley beat Sasha and then Natalya beat Charlotte by DQ when  Sasha got involved. Bret Hart was in Nattie's corner and looked like he was out of it.

As I mentioned, Corey Graves had 3 matches. Two vs Yoshi and one vs Sami Zayn. First Yoshi match had Graves calling out Cesaro and Zayn. After the match, Zayn came out and challenged Corey. Zayn beat Corey in a good match but not great. Later in the show, Corey injured Zayn as he was preparing to face Tyler Breeze.

Breeze also was booked in 3 matches but only wrestled in one. He was supposed to face Xavier Woods but Rusev took his place. Finally in the last taping, Breeze beat Woods. Woods was a lot more serious tonight than usual.

Adam Rose is now the most over guy on NXT besides Cesaro. Such a great entrance. He had a good match with Camacho and I love his Michael Hayes gimmick.

Solomon Crowe debuted beating Sylvester Lefort. Pretty disappointing as he seems to have dropped the Ipad gimmick and came out to generic music.

Sheamus beat Aiden English in the best match of the night. Long match and this was Aiden's come out part. Sheamus gave Aiden a lot of the match which was cool.

The tapings started with the Outlaws who got the biggest pop of the night. Full Sail loves the Outlaws.

Main event was Adrian Neville vs Bo Dallas rematch. It was better than the ladder match and Neville won with a reverse 450.

    Next taping is March 13th.

  11. I went to the show tonight and it wasn't a great time but it turned out alright. They sold too many tickets so about 200 people that bought tickets weren't allowed in. That lead to some angry people and cops had to be called. At first they weren't going to give refunds but eventually they did. Besides a refund, I also got a comp for two future shows and a shirt. They also showed the show on the big screen outside which was cool. Whatever the case, someone's getting fired over this. I hope it's the guy that replaced Naylor. From what I saw, the show was really good. Hopefully this doesn't happen tomorrow night.

  12. Daniel Bryan can win the title at the real biggest show of the year, the Raw after Mania. I'm fine with Bryan/HHH as it's better than Bryan vs Kane being on the big show.

Wyatt/Reigns was just sad. It reminded me of the Corey Graves vs Adrian Neville matches on NXT. Just booked really shitty to expose guys. I'm guessing they did it to see how they would perform when booked to have a bad match?

Cesaro vs Big E was the best thing that happened tonight. Cesaro looked like the biggest star in the company. Even over Bryan.

  13. Tim,

How long did the Brotherhood match get?

Under 10 minutes. Double FIP sections but a shitty finish.

And Rippa, I should be on camera multiple times cause I was in the third row in the bleachers in my Mark Henry Hall of Pain shirt. Chris was a couple rows in back of me.

  14. Adam Rose's entrance is incredible. People are gonna love it when they see it.

Tonight's taping was pretty much all about CM Punk chants. They started right off the bat before the show even started. It started to die off as the show went on. About 3 signs were confiscated and some guy got thrown out for a little while. Can't wait for Raw during Authority promos. As for the show, it was basically a build up to the February 27th show. It was announced that the special guests for the night will be, HBK, Bret Hart, John Cena, Kevin Nash and Paul Heyman. They will also be at Full Sail the next night with Sheamus and the Outlaws.

The Ascension had 3 matches. Two against jobber teams and the main event vs the Brotherhood. The main ended in a DQ which was a shitty way to end the night I thought. Ascension have gotten really over with the crowd with Konnor's "Yah" chant.

The BFF"s had a mixed night. Summer lost to Emma on the first taping while Sasha lost to Bayley during the second. Charlotte finally returned to action on the third taping and beat Bayley in a bad match. The final taping had Summer beat Aksana.

The two best matches of the night were Neville vs Breeze 2 and Cesaro vs Justin Gabriel. I'm pretty sure Breeze got a concussion in his match on a powerbomb. He looked out of it after that. Cesaro was in full babyface mode which was weird but he's easily the most over guy on NXT these days. Bo Dallas came out after the Neville match and they had a confrontation. Neville is really bad on the mic and Dallas was really serious all night. Bo faced Mason Ryan but Alexander Rusev interfered with NEville making the save. JBL came out and made a Teddy Long tag match. Neville pinned Bo Dallas.

As I said, the Adam Rose introduction was awesome. They showed a video of a party of his with a whole bunch of the developmental guys and divas including Alexa Bliss, Kalisto, Becky Lynch and I think even Crowe although I'm not sure on that. Even Dusty Rhodes showed up. He faced the cowboy that Neville faced 2 weeks ago. Rose was over right from the start. Also Marcus Louis debuted with Lefort vs the returning Oliver Grey. Grey won which was weird but I guess they want to make Lefort a jobber group.

Rest of the show was pretty uneventful. Lots of Big Cas losing to both Cj Parker and Aiden English. CJ's new character is awesome. Rusev also beat Xavier Woods again.

  15. Best part of tonight was Tortio and the guy that held the WWE title for 400+ days selling for him. Take that Rip Rogers. The Brock thing was cool until the beatdown lasted forever. Kofi also proved why he's still employed with his performance tonight. Can't wait till he finally fails at one of those jumps.

  16. 1991/1992 Eric Embry is one of my favorite wrestlers ever. So sleazy and just a natural heel. His feuds with Lawler, Dirty White Boy, Bill Dundee are all great. Plus he had interactions with guys like RVD, Pat Tanaka and Dutch Mantell. Babyface Embry is alright but he was at his best as a heel. This is one of my favorite moments of his:

and if you got time to kill, here's a playlist of Eric's 1991/1992 run. Make sure you watch the 10 minutes of Mayhem video that is like a old ECW brawl taking place in the studio.

  17. Went to Evolve show tonight in Orlando and it was really good if you like that type of wrestling. Uhaa Nation is a beast  and should be in the big leauges. TNA should sign him. I liked the Fox/Uhaa vs Gargano/Davis and Lince Dorado/Caleb Konley matches. Gargano seems to be the only true heel in Evolve except for Larry Dallas and the Bravados. Hero/Nesse and the main event were disappointing. Both followed the Uhaa match and couldn't match up. The Hero match had a lot of mat work which is fine but not on this show. Oh and Maxwell Chicago is awesome and needs to team with Santino. Finally got to see Tim Zybisco wrestle and he's not bad.

Bunch of WWE/NXT guys were in the audience too. Xavier Woods i recognized for sure. He was marking out bro.
