MSG 10/1991
Excellent IRS-Davey Boy match that goes 20 min and includes a classic segment where Hayes and Heenan are arguing over whether bulldogs are dangerous or useless as pets.
Too bad it's followed by a total snoozer b/t Anvil and Mountie. Today's crowds would have chanted "Boring". Okay, so I didn't watch the whole thing. Maybe it gets better. But after Superstars, Main Event, and NXT, I think I am done for the night. Besides, Hogan-Flair is on this card, and it's supposed to be awesome. So I'll save it for tomorrow or Saturday.
That one has piper vs flair, not Hogan vs flair
D'oh! That's what I get for going to bed before finishing it.

There should be less troll-feeding and more discussion about how awesome Ambrose vs. Henry was.
Limping during a powerslam and holding the ropes when you deliver a big boot is how you sell the damn leg. Nice comeback sequence by Henry and Ambrose was really moving sharp here too. The other Shield members were great on the outside.
Rollins: What? I didn't do anything!
*punch*
My favorite spot (besides Henry on the floor badassedly staring down The Shield guys) is Ambrose coming off the ropes and punching Henry in the back of the knee.

Aw, that was like the divas curtain call, just you know, with a superkick.
Yeah. A weird moment - but a cute one. AJ totally broke character with the hug.
I like AJ's finisher - even if she didn't use it to finish Kaitlyn. It looks really cool, and it's a smart way to camoflage how small she is against bigger opponents. (plus, like with this week's Nattie match, it allows the bigger gals to show off how tough/strong they are when they fight it off) Reminds me of the sort of stuff Daizee Haze used to do against her opponents, who were always bigger. Given AJ's age and her coming up in the indies -- wasn't she called April Lee before signing with FCW? -- I would be surprised if she weren't influenced by Daizee.

Perhaps the better what if is what if Austin had to immediately get neck surgery and was out until the summer/fall of 1998?
All I know is that if we think Shawn and Hunter were insufferable in those days -- imagine how much more annoying they'd have been in 1998 after losing both Bret and Austin as foils?

Stephanie McMahon is one of the main stories on the msn homepage right now.
This? What a dick move by Sonnen -- I don't care if he is BFFs with Punk.

I agree that the main event was pretty weak sauce. The crowd had it correct with their "boring" chance. Still, it's great to see you show that's about 90% in ring action.
Still getting a feel for the various characters. But if this is what passes for a bad episode, that I have solid hopes for this series.

Thought the Matadores/Rybaxel match was fun, but now I wanna watch some CMLL before bed.
Nattie is nowhere as good as Beth was in selling a smaller opponent as a threat. And I did see some of the sloppiness y'all mention (as well as something clipped out?). Still, very entertaining. I enjoy AJ - she reminds me of Mickie.
I have never purchased a WWE T-shirt before, but I just may have to get one of those Mark Henry "destruction" ones. Very good match from him and Ambrose.
Solid Rasslin this week.
Also, WWEN streamed one of my tweets during tonight's airing. I marked out. Not gonna lie.

Not bad. Dolph vs Fandango was good times. Sin Cara vs ADR was forgettable. And with WM so close, it felt like 70% clips.

I now understand Corey Graves after watching last week's NXT. My wife walked into the room while he was cutting a promo on Yoshi, immediately stopped what she was doing and said 'Who is this douchenut? He needs to leave...what is his name? He needs to leave Yoshi Tatsu alone. Yoshi has cool pants."
Match starts, Graves leaves.
"Wait he's just gonna leave? He won't even fight cool pants? What a dick! This guy is a dick!"
Attacks Yoshi.
"Oh COME ON. Seriously? Can someone please come out and throw him around? He's so gross."
Zayne runs out.
"THANK YOU. I don't know who this guy is, but he's my new favorite wrestler."
I have to imagine that's what Triple H pictures when this guy hits the main roster: wives across the country that don't watch stuffing instead of potatoes stopping in their tracks and saying "ugh someone kill that guy. I'm going to sit and watch until someone kills him."
Greatest story I have read all month.

It's not thru youtube. But like I said, you can watch it for free thru their site. Get an HDMI cable and hook your computer to your tv.
Computer and TV too far away. Not that big of a deal, though. For $8, I thought I might try a month -- you also get a lot of their archive stuff, supposedly.

When talking about Bret Hart's sharpshooter, then show Natalya putting it on Melina and holy crap I forget about Melina's flexibility. Natalya put the sharpshooter on Melina and pull back so far that her butt was almost on the mat above Melina's head.
Yeah, go back and watch some of those Melina/Beth matches -- Rumble 2009, I want to say. Beth folds her up into all kinds of craziness. It's kind of amazing.

Friends don't let friends watch NXT out of context.
Fair enough. I'll catch up eventually.
Matt, remember that channel on Justin.tv that would show memphis and smoky mountain throughout the week? I miss those days.

Anyone with their subscription:
Is it through youtube, so I can watch on my TV? Or is it only good in a browser?

Good Lord. I have been out of it for awhile, but the last time I paid attention ROH was giving him everything. He was indulging himself in crazy, needlessly long main events and headlining shows and whatnot.
I wonder what he could possibly have wanted that they refused to grant? More money, I guess. . .

Just about to watch Paige/Emma for the first time. Is Emma's dancing meant to be silly? Or is she trying to be cool?
Or is it even possible anymore to not be doing something potentially goofy without being "ironic"? As in, if fans like it then it was intended -- but if they don't, it was some kind of parody? (Santino can do it, but I think he's a special comedic talent in rasslin right now.)
-
Watching that same WCCW ep right now.
He's always that out of it, to my mind.
I have had the feed running in an extra browser tab all day. I wonder what this service is going to do to my monthly bandwidth?

I finally found chapter markers -- on WM 29.
Good job, WWE, for spoiling match results in a number of the chapter tag names. . .

NXT is the weekly show
NXT Arrival is the PPV-ish show they did live
NXT Arrival Encore is a cut-down version (90 minutes instead-of 2 hours, I think)
This is NXT is an intro to the entire NXT universe
NXT Arrival was NXT's Clash of Champions. They built to all of the matches.
A lucha dude named Aerostar does a reverse headbutt thing but to the floor but after bouncing off the top rope like Sabu or Ultimo Dragon. One of the most insane moves in history.
Nice. Thanks, Guys. That all makes sense. So need to watch "Encore" if I watch the full show. I like the "Clash" analogy.
I'm planning to re-up my huluplus this weekend, so I will prob start around Jan 1 and catch up.

Did Vince finally get ahold of Mid-South?
-
Can anyone explain me the diff between NXT and NXT Arrival? Or is it the same show that changes names now and then? I assume that "Arrival Encore" is a clip show? And "This is NXT" I watched yesterday - very good intro for a new viewer of the show.
I am a little confused when I look at what's on the Network, so I can catch up on the last few weeks at least.

Just watched this match, and I don't see the point of it, really. I can never complain about anyone playing "Takayama", as Sato does here. But apart from a tiny segment, DHash never once comes across as a credible threat despite his ability to throw nice high kicks. It's kind of a squash as much as a anything.
