No see this time it's definitely gonna work because his friend is president and the NFL has disrespected the country/flag/true patriots by tolerating kneeling and all the masses of people upset over that are going to come running to a new football option as soon as there is one.
Hopefully this gets reflected in the team names. Columbus Conformists has a nice ring to it.

It does suck for Minnesota fans that the Super Bowl is in Minnesota. Losing in the championship game sucks. Just want to move on from football for a while. People will be bummed out. Not being able to escape it and hosting the team that beat you is rough

The 2013 27 TDs 2 interceptions Nick Foles showing up is a beautiful thing.
-
Hopefully Foles has 1 more great run like 2013 in him. When he had 27 touchdowns and 2 interceptions in 10 starts. His mechanics really fell apart the next season under pressure.

Just finished XV for the first time. When you choose to take a picture with you I chose the picture of cup noodles I saved from that commercial quest. It really made a joke of the whole ending when they look at the picture right at the end. It was funny but talk about breaking the immersion.
Game was disappointingly easy but still an alright experience overall.

Dwight fucking murdered the Hawks last night.
Little known fact: statistically, at least, Howard was actually really good last year. He was a better defender than Gobert.
But he has to be the NBA all-time leader in number of teammates who have hated him.
What numbers are you looking at? Gobert was on a whole other level.

Cool I was going to suggest starting a new league anyway. Too many inactive teams last year when just refreshing the same league.

That's an insane amount of money for a guy who has only played 31 NBA games. The man must be as good as they say. Check out this Brett Brown quote:
"He does things on a court that remind me of, you know, somebody that's able to hear music and just play the song," Brown said. "You know, he will study [Tim] Duncan, or study KD, or another player, and all of a sudden it's a part of his game. He's very unique, very unique."
We had the 3rd best net rating in the league last year when he played behind Golden State and San Antonio. Last year we had the scoring margin of a 56 win team with him on the floor and an 11 win team when he didn't play. It was pretty ridiculous.

Another brilliant 4th down call by Gomer Pyle.

It is free money for the owner's pocket. Since they are selling contracts that aren't guaranteed. Works the same as selling draft picks. There is a limit of how much cash you can bring in that way each season. Sixers were only 100,000 away from this years limit. Which is 5 million. Which is why Houston also sent a draft pick to the Sixers in the deal for Long.
On July 1st this resets with the new year. Sixers sold 2 draft picks at the draft this year. Those deals haven't actually gone through yet since they need the new season the start on the 1st to get more money.

They can surround Blake with Beverly, Williams, and Rivers to give him and Jordan plenty of space as well.
Speaking of Rivers the story that is out there now that it was the acquisition of Austin, and the way he was treated, that led to Paul losing faith in Doc Rivers is interesting. I did wonder when they added Jerry West how that would be addressed if West had a negative view on Austin. Can't help but wonder if dumping Doc would get them a legit shot at Paul George. Since it is very likely that Paul George's old relationship with Doc Rivers' daughter is why you hear Lakers only rumors about George heading to LA.
-
I think it makes perfect sense from Paul's perspective. He can hit 3s. He's on the wrong side of 30. Why not go to the coach that made Nash an MVP in his 30s? Good way to extend your career. Paul has been a volume 3 point shooter the last 3 years. Over 300 attempts each season. His 5 attempts per game last year is more than Nash ever attempted in a season. Hit over 40% as well. Close to 50% on catch and shoot 3 point attempts. I don't know I'd be shocked if there were fit issues.
If Griffin stays around I'm looking forward to seeing him play without Paul. His playmaking is pretty underrated. Compare his passing numbers to someone like Lamar Odom.

Goddamit, Kings, quit drafting Jayhawks and fucking up their careers.
Golden State acquired Jordan Bell from the Bulls for cash. I like it.
I was scared of Thibs taking Bell at 16. This is much worse.

Seriously ESPN you think this is our depth chart?
Starters
McConnell
SImmons
Saric
Okafor
Embiid
-
Jarrett Allen should make a bunch of Shaqtin appearances. Very JaVale McGee like. Great athlete, with size and length, and on court dumb.
-
I think one of the scariest possible combos coming up is if Thibs ends up grabbing Jordan Bell.

Curious if Riley will swing for the fences and take Giles.

Realgm posted that Butler was traded to Minnesota for LaVine, Dunn and 7

If I were a Celtics fan I would be wanting Zach Collins. Exactly what they need. Maybe not worth taking at 3 based on mock projections but underrated I'd say. I think I'll be most surprised if Smith Jr. doesn't go top 5. Legit Westbrook level athlete.

Can the Lakers now land Paul George by offering Thursday's No. 27 and 28 picks and either Julius Randle or Jordan Clarkson? They're trying. You probably should find out that answer before making the first trade.

I think the Knicks can do 2 of the following 3 things with this trade: dump bad contracts, get quality players, get lottery picks. I don't think they'll find a trade partner willing to do all 3.
If I'm the Knicks I'm focusing on dumping contracts and getting picks because they sure as shit aren't winning anything now no matter who they trade for.
I wouldn't be surprised if the endgame to this is really just Phil calling Carmelo before the draft "hey you hear I might be moving Porzingis. You probably want to waive that no trade clause now, right?"

Jackson wanted Okafor over Porzingis at the draft. Not too late. Best thing we could offer in a trade with the Knicks would be eating Noah's deal.
Aldrich, Rubio, pick number 7, and a future pick or 2 for Noah and Porzingis works in the trade machine. Minnesota should be able to afford to eat Noah's deal like we can thanks to having so much youth. Knicks have wanted Rubio and Porzingis and Towns gives Minnesota 2 mobile bigs that can play 4 or 5. Noah as a ridiculously overpaid mentor I guess.
