If I'm Microsoft, I'm going to all of my developers now, 1st and 3rd, and getting mod support for as many XBox games as I can. If Sony is gonna have this stance with every game (not just Bethesda ones), that's a huge competitive edge for them.

This is fucking nuts! Sony is not allowing mods for Fallout 4 or Skyrim Remastered on PS4.
Between this and the conference this week, Sony seems to be regressing to old, arrogant Sony, like the one that launched PS3.

I am sure that military realism grognards would raise hell about it on the Bioware boards if it went down like that even though 1) it's a game and 2) we're talking about unique expeditionary mission where only a few people will have the expertise to pull it off.
You know the sibling would get Jenkins'd in the first mission.

If you're in the XBox One preview program, Clubs have rolled out. I went ahead and started the DVDVR one. If you're in preview, you can join now. If you're not, you should be able to join when the update goes wide (probably a few weeks). Reminder, this also works for anyone planning on playing these XBox Games that also are crossplay ok PC, like Gears of War 4.

There seems to be some confusions about this still, but the general consensus is that the PS4 Pro won't run games natively in 4K, it will upscale them (just like the XBox S). So what the hell is this thing for?
They got outflanked by Microsoft on this one and were caught with their pants down. I bet they wish they didn't have to release this thing, but they're too deep in it now.
Sony won't have a console that runs games natively at 4K until the PS5. That's not good.

Horizon looks insanely good. And Colin Moriarty of Kinda Funny has gotten the chance to have about 45 minutes of hands-on time and raves about it all the time, so it sounds like it feels good too.

I played Gears of War 10 years ago when it came out, and fell away from the series. No real reason, just games weren't a priority at that time.
But since Gears 4 looks amazing, I decided I'm gonna try to rush through 2, 3, and Judgement on their easiest difficulties in a month (which is when 4 comes out).
Almost done with 2 already. Lots of fun.
