I don't think a simple statement of reality is pretentious, and I don't think calling someones somewhat in depth response pretentious aids in discussion.
Wrestling is almost entirely pretension and artifice, btw.

You wrestled and didn't know what catch as catch can means.. hmm. Not talking shit but that's kind of weird. Why do I think the guys talking about punks gut aren't in half the shape he's in? And uh I'll edit and add a picture later.
Much like wrestlers say you can't judge them unless you have been in the ring - one most certainly can judge Punk's gut when they have one themselves
You think these guys with similar guts also have great cardio and can lift John cena? It's silly, some guys have big stomachs, especially guys who eat to keep muscle like punk.

Wow. Fsw gone, crazy, thought everyone knew to ignore. This girl I work with who's only 19 had her dad drop dead with her there, no known health problems. I feel terrible for her. Makes my money problems (don't make enough to save much) seem small. As I write this Germany just scored. Goddammit.

So Curt Hawkins and Brodus Clay are booked for Pro Wrestling Syndicate's 9/20 show. Hawkins is wrestling Kevin Matthews, and Brodus is wrestling Homicide. Tremendous trainwreck potential there.
Eh. They're pros they'll be alright. Ambrose as the punisher but crazier gets my vote.

OK guys, I've decided to become a succesfull UFC fighter, my plan is to go into the cage and run away for 4:30 of every round and then flail around in the last thirty seconds, maybe land a shot or two, and steal every round, since obviously you can steal rounds by giving 30 seconds of aggression.

The Kane thing, Bryan needs a feud that's a clear win from the start. They've got history and it will be a good easy win that, importantly, the fans will expect him to win for a change.

I'm currently reading the war for late night, wherein Jon Stewart makes a cameo or two while seeming to want such a network position, at least then. I could see him handing the daily show and subsequent work load to a John Oliver type protege.

Man its pretty simple. Punk isn't just punk, he stands for the new guard, younger guys. They are chanting, in part, "fresh, fresh". Same reason the usos were over last night. They wanna see young guys get pushed. Who cares if punk is a nice guy or selfish or not. Have to be selfish to go to the top as a performer. Lots of bad people make good art.

The business aint what it used to be and people don't consume media the same ways. PPV's are down, they don't count tivo/dvr numbers, etc etc etc it's all pointless speculation, WWE should go by their talking point of the actual crowd being a focus group every night and just push who is over until they aren't anymore. It's a mediocre product. And anyone with eyes can see Punk merchandise everywhere. Random people wearing it on tv and in real life.

I think most of what makes Henry good is just he's a comfortable veteran. So many eager insecure guys showing a little green, and then the big strong tough guy who knows how to get the job done. Lets the charisma show instead of forcing it. Past that you get into the whole "what are you trying to see" spectrum.
