  1. Yeah it seemed like Jack was pretty fucking popular here and elsewhere up until the gimmick change and the unfortunate shit with Punk and Wembley. The way certain people have acted like he's been garbage the entire time is kind of hilarious.

  2. The names I see the most as far as rock/metal bands that seem to be somewhat mainstream popular are Ghost and Sleep Token, both of which do goth-y imagery. Shit, you've got a whole generation of kids who worshipped at the altar of My Chemical Romance.

Plus look at Wednesday, they stuck with that goth aesthetic and still had a mega hit. No need to have updated The Addams to be more in line with what's hip and popular. People like dark and spooky and that's like 3/4 of what did the heavy lifting for The Crow.

  3. Can Hollywood please get a tattoo consultant for movies? You know, somebody who can step in and say "WOAH WOAH WOAH we're not going for SoundCloud rapper, this guy's a gloomy rocker type, so let's think more NIN lyrics and some Poe imagery, and it's gotta look like an actual professional did the work."

I'll gladly take the job and a million bucks plz.

Edit: just noticed the eyebrow tattoo. Fuckin brutal.

I don't think Mr. Meme had any sociopolitical reason for pointing out the genocide angle, was just showing "hey they did this crazy shit and wouldn't today".

I feel like some of the places I've seen it posted were definitely looking to stir up controversy, but I get what you mean.

  5. That seems to be all over the place, always leaving out the context of why - this Reddit post was pretty wonderful so I'll just c&p:

    Spoiler

    "Kinda missing the context.

He does this to stop Magneto from commiting another genocide by reminding him what it's actually like.

It's not like Magneto was minding his business, shopping or something and Xavier just rolled up and uploaded Holocaust.exe to his noggin for laughs."

  6. I actually thought he was very funny in that movie but a few other bits aside (Iggy Pop zombie needing coffee was stupendous!) I absolutely haaaaaaated it. It easily could've just been a quick closeup of Jim Jarmusch saying, "Zombie movies are fucking stupid," and it would've saved me the additional 103 minutes of my life.

  7. Many years ago, my former in-laws brought my ex-wife and the kids to a buddy's house, the kind of guy who has a gigantic property so he gets a few bonfires going and makes a bunch of food and invites a ton of people over and it's just a good old time outside in the early fall in New England. I stayed home because there were shit to do around the house.

When everybody got back, they mentioned a couple old-time wrestlers were there, and asked me if I'd ever heard of Mad Dog and The Butcher - turns out my father-in-law's buddy went to an autograph thing the day before and asked both of the elder Vachon's if they were going to be in the area for a little bit and wanted to come by the cookout and they actually said yes and showed up! Apparently they were a big hit and everybody had a good time hanging out with them and my dumb antisocial ass was at home cleaning toilets.

Anybody who says they have no regrets in life is full of shit, let me tell you...

A lot of things have happened for Wardlow to cool off as much as he has, but I am trying to think of another case where a haircut played this much of a role. It seems all of his aura was in the man bun. My man looks like a hamandegger that heard about this wrestling thing and showed up at the Power Plant.

Even with the haircut, dude could put some product in and slick it back and still look a hundred times better than this "just rolled out of bed" look. I really wonder what the case is, ultimately, like does he just not want to be there? Has management realized that he's not going to deliver what they were hoping from him? I don't know, some people just don't have it though and while I've definitely enjoyed a Wardlow match here and there, dude might just be a dud.

  9. Another GREAT two hours of the wrestling, bummer it's off next week. Lucha! BCC! Eddie vs Danielson RESPECT match coming! Garcia/Taylor was nice. Said it before but Elite Copeland rocks, can't wait for Wednesday's match. Really thought tonight we'd get the Queen Aminata Is All Elite graphic but they're leaning into it happening soon. Crowd was oddly quiet for the bout before with Purrazzo/Hogan. Loved Ishii doing three different DDT sells in a row.

Hitman 3 World of Assassination is on sale so I grabbed it. One of the strangest, most confusing store pages on Steam in terms of figuring out what the hell you're actually buying. I had to ask on the forums to make sure I was buying what I actually wanted.

Anyway, man, this game is really fucking good. And I'm not good at it. I think I'm too stupid to be a secret agent assassin in real life.

The Hitman series is one I've attempted to get into at least 5 times now but never get past the first few missions. I cannot put my finger on it.

I just saw this as well - Fenway would've made sense for a 'huge' announcement given that it would be a hypothetical stadium show, but I don't see this Fleet Center (fuck you TD) show being the announcement unless it's somehow made clear it's for Mercedes (e.g. 'The First Dance' and accompanying Darby 'Even if you're the best in the world' promo). Otherwise, it's just kinda... not that big a deal? I mean, they just ran Blood and Guts in that building not too long ago (which drew like 9K people, pretty damn good considering how many floor seats were eliminated by the two ring set up) it's not like they're debuting in the building/area.

Fuck TD and fuck Fleet, always gonna be the Boston Garden to me!

I don’t see stuff like Halo being multiplatform, but it’s still kind of bananas that Bethesda would be tied to only Xbox and PC.

Timed exclusives seems more likely than anything.

Chances are you could be right, but I also remember a time where you would be considered insane to say that one day, Sonic would be in a Nintendo game.

Honestly, I just want the Ori games on my PlayStation, dangit.

  13. Re: all the rumors... Phil Spencer on Twitter - "We're listening and we hear you. We've been planning a business update event for next week, where we look forward to sharing more details with you about our vision for the future of Xbox. Stay tuned."

It would be very easy to just dismiss the rumors if they were untrue, no?
