I don't like heel authority figures either but I do appreciate how they are taking the "Khan is a nice guy and wrestlers walk all over him" thing and running with it.  That's pretty darn good storytelling if you ask me.

Huh... You know, if that's the game plan, that's interesting. It makes it kinda funny in hindsight, all the people saying they were leaving money on the table by not making it an on-screen thing... they just wanted to do it without Punk in the company and that's an impressive level of hate and pettiness.

The Starks/Liger confrontation was completely forgettable. And completely awful. I really wish the Owen was handled with a lot more care. It's not special and I fear it never will be.

Naaaah, Liger seems to have a spectacular sense of humor, and since he's already retired at it's not like we were going to get a match. I'm happy to agree to disagree though!

Weird things I notice watching wrestling: Julia got a new tattoo, new enough that she was wrestling with a square of protective film over it.  I just got a new one this week, first one in a few years, and had never seen the film before that 🤣

I had that shit on one of my 16 tattoos, and I hated it - hurt to remove and seemed so unnecessary. I'm and old school "light washing and lots of A+D" prescriber and it hasn't failed me yet.

  5. Cage has been a pretty solid utility guy for the last few years so I have no problem with that. There's a lot by the people I would cut before him and he is far from my favorite dude named Brian or Cage.

It's bad enough to have to tolerate iffy TV, but having to navigate a sea of scorching hot weirdo takes that insist on elevating "that sucked" to "(whatever the fuck this is)" makes everything so, so much worse.

You mean the person who leaves "sad" reacts on people's positive posts? Yeah, this shit is why I wish our ignore feature was more thorough...

Honestly that's my least favorite part of all this, going back to the Punk interview - it brings out the trolls with borderline stalker personalties.

    Get after it, Tony.

How is TAKA these days? Used to be one of my faves back in those days...

In a similar vein, Masato Tanaka is still going strong and has visited the US a few times lately, would LOVE to see him pop up for a few AEW marches...

  8. I hope everybody has a spectacular night! I was going to watch online but we had another storm that knocked out the power. I'll catch the replay and hopefully see some of you maniacs hooting and hollering for our beloved brother DEAN~!!

  9. Gravity has only been wrestling for 4 years, dude needs a lot of work but the potential is there.

    Parker is fucking terrible, unfortunately.

I liked José but Roooooosh doesn't need a mouthpiece.

None of these feel too shocking and when you're trying to bring in big stars like Ospreay, Okada, Mercedes, and even Copeland, you gotta free up some money somewhere. I sincerely hope guys like Slim J and Henry bounce back from this.
