I’m surprised when Austin was on the outs they didn’t have a midget come out as Chilly McFreeze just to shit on him.

I didn't get a chance to shit on Mase in the June thread so: he was the pits. He sounded bored. Not boring, but just... bored. Just mumbling his way through verses. Wonder where he fits into the whole Diddy sex scandal, too...
He wasn’t overly successful with it though. Not one of these guys that your like damn how did this guy win 5 Grammy’s. Had a few bangers got slapped by Ghostface in a club and turned to religion and fell in to obscurity.

When I saw the punk apology clip this was all I could think of-
“It’s like people only do things because they get paid…and that’s just really sad”

It's so crazy in retrospect to think about WCW getting one of the WWF's tippy top guys at the height of his power, and doing absolutely nothing of consequence with him. Politics were so bad with the inmates running the asylum that a top guy, a genuine superstar, was handed to them and they squandered him.
I think Bischoff didn’t actually want Bret he just didn’t want Vince to have Bret. That and WCW was always sort of a mess when it comes to booking.

I remember a Nitro where they had Duggan come out with a massive WCW flag instead of the American flag in the midst of the NWO running strong and the commentators really selling it. Doubt that was going in to business for himself. I think they had an idea and realized it’s Duggan and he is mentally perma stuck in the 80’s when it comes to wrestling so they gave that spot to DDP.

I may or may not have much more about this show. I thought it was dope as hell. I just wanted to chime in on the Hangman Love-fest. That dude is too good for this business. Can you even imagine what a sanctimonious, self-righteous piece of shit one would have to be to not get along with a standup human being like Adam Page? Imagine the deep-seated insecurity required to see a quality human being like Hangman Page as a threat? Lots of guys in this business talk the talk when it comes to speaking out about human rights. Hangman Page cut a promo in spanish in Mexico during a highly tumultuous week in our nation's history. I could be completely wrong, but when I listen to a guy like Hangman speak fondly of a handful of migrant workers he encountered during childhood, remembering their names, and generally just being a wonderful human, i almost get a little misty-eyed. I have a young son, and I want him to grow up to be a guy like Hangman Page.
I think Punk went in to AEW still having the same big head/ego as when he left wrestling. If he had approached it with the humility he has shown upon his WWE return he might still be with the company.

I wouldn’t lay this thread being quiet solely at the feet of WWE news having it’s own thread. The board as a whole has been borked for days, hasn’t it?
Seems fine now but yea the past week or so prior it’s been a bit slow.

This guy could sue for being hurt in an unplanned spot and be good. Throwing in that Moxley is Mr. Unhinged based off of his character work as a big part of the lawsuit is a choice as they would say.

My take on the Cena heel turn?
Fans: Why can't we get more old-fashioned hateable heels instead of "cool" heels?
Cena: Becomes a completely hateable old-school heel, with a year-long angle building to what will be a satisfying payoff when he finally loses
Fans: Cena's heel turn sucks!
I am pretty sure no matter how it is portrayed a lot of people myself included just think turning Cena heel in his final run was a bad idea.

Still love these shows but this bit with Tony standing in the ring for a 15 minute town hall to start the show needs to go.
I like the concept for building feuds just not starting the show with it.

It's still hilarious to me that there are people that are just nitpicking literally everything they see from this because they are determined to hate it, when pretty much everything we've seen points to this movie being awesome.
Even the way people who are looking forward to this pick apart the trailer frame by frame kind of scare me. The Snyder cultists on the other hand are just laughable at this point.

Things I don't understand about this -
- Is WWE still its own corporation, but just owned by TKO?
-
If so, is WWE making these talent contract decisions themselves?
- Or is TKO ordering WWE to make specific cuts of these people? Way too meddling if so.
- Or is TKO just doing the standard shitty "your WWE division of the TKO conglomerate must reduce costs by X% to meet our quarterly blah blah" corporate thing, and WWE is selecting how/who to cut?
When the last wave of cuts hit just recently I believe it was SRS who said that if Hunter says not to cut someone then they will not so he has the final say in that regard.
I hope Truth saved his money and can just ride off in to the sunset as they say.

So apparently a new Street Fighter movie is being made because rumorz have if that Roman Reigns is being considered to be Akuma in the film.
Then there's whatever this is:
...oh Adam. No girl no....
Well he’s got the look they could just keep his lines to a minimum or dub over him so we don’t have to hearsky his bad impressionsky of a Rooshun accent.

No Harvey Keitel = Zero Buys.
They got Takashi Miike to direct who I didn’t know was still directing.
Dave was touting this movie on the observer site as Morgan’s potential Hollywood big break until the actual details came out.

Man I hate corporations as much as the next guy but I feel like WWE has been doing the post Mania cuts for years now even prior to TKO.
Saddest thing was listening to Bailey on Insight yesterday and at least half the girls she rattled off as carrying the torch in to the future for the women were cut.

Hogan and Bischoff's third man is Izzy Martinez and they're doing some sort of Amatuer Wrestling tournament thing.
They’re setting it up like a reality show. Which is probably so they can edit the matches to not be as boring as amateur matches usually are.

I had conflicting viewpoints on Bischoff when i started listening to his podcast. It was informative and probably the best thing from my POV that he had ever done. Then he went into Cornette territory with his anti-AEW shtick and it became unlistenable. That being said, even when his pod was tolerable, he really couldn't help himself from kissing Hogan's ass every single time he could.
I got recommended an episode titled “Dispelling the myth of ATM Eric”. I didn’t listen but I found it amusing how decades later it was still something that bothered him enough to devote a whole show to it.
The third man is either the return of Pastamania we have all been waiting for OR since they used that lame slice n dice pun it has to be Nick fkn Gage right? Either that or we are getting pizza cutters with Hogan’s face on one side and Bischoff’s on the other!

I was going to say…maybe more people are watching on Max.
With cable ratings becoming more irrelevant, Dave has no idea what to do with himself.
I think I said it before, but I’d love for all wrestling to move to purely streaming, and for streaming numbers to remain an inscrutable black box, so we as fans can move on from late 90s ratingz discourse.
1000% this. Saw a thing about how Raw viewership was down 35% since going to Netflix. I am not doubting that information but why it’s public knowledge baffles me.

I made a decision a while back to make sure I never gave that company a dime of my money ever again, or even views on YouTube, nothing. Feeling pretty good about that decision lately.
I checked out and when I look back in I see a lot of people talking about stuff like attendance and statistics like a bunch of Michael Coles. It’s like all those years of Vince conditioning fans not to care about the wrestling on a wrestling show has finally happened.

I would say based on the last 6 hours that they are trying to get people prepared that Trump is showing up at WM this weekend.
Going to need an intermission or three for that diaper change.

Hunter, Steph, Roman and Nick Khan are in a race to see who can say the dumbest shit this week. I also found it funny how Triple H basically said "Yeah, Jey Uso sucks but the kids dig it."
Way to put over your challenger for the world title Lol.
Never been big on SRS but him going after Nick Khan for saying they don’t put wrestlers on the bench has made me see him in a new light. Especially funny since the next day Montez tweeted about how the SP are riding the bench this Mania not long after that statement.

That thumbnail is either a Predator-shaped mountain or Predator has been hitting the juice and got some sweet traps.
They mixed up beefing up a cow with milking a cow obviously since the latter is where we’re at with this franchise now.
Not that’s it’s going to stop anytime soon since they have an infinite amount of time and places they can drop the Predator in to. How about this mf goes to mars and wipes everything out with his arm nuke and that’s why it’s a giant red dirt ball now!

The casting speculation will be the most enjoyable part of this new street fighter movie. I mean I hope it’s great but I just don’t expect it to be.
