I laughed again when Paul Wight seriously stated that the ring steps weighed around 200 pounds.
We use those aluminum plates quite a bit at work. I don't know how thick the ones they use are, but I'll guess 3-5mm. My best guess I'd say somewhere between 15 and 25 kg depending on how thick, which is what, 30-50 pounds?

I don’t watch Lvl Up but I saw a 3 minute long highlight package of Axiom/Riley Osborne that made that look really good.
Looks like the finish was messed up judging by Axiom's reaction, but otherwise they both looked great.
Osborne is UK wrestler Turbo Josh Terry who was on NXT UK some, but I don't think he was signed at the time. He is also dating Bea Priestley.
I don't know why NXT doesn't do more with Level Up, they have SO MANY wrestlers who need ring time. I looked at Wikipedia recently and (not counting injured, main roster and yet to debut trainees), they have something like 25 women alone.

I'm guessing Tony's seen some preliminary numbers judging by how he's going insane on Twitter.

They could always use some sleaze thread stuff to spice it up. Lots of dead cats anyway...
Everything I've heard about this makes it seem like it's going to be a complete whitewashing of them all. Just a normal happy family with a lot of bad luck.

LMAO they really had Taker come out and kill Bron. You have maybe one of your biggest audiences and that’s how they a star. I also thought Cena being out there making Ilja look like an ant was an odd choice.
In fact, it was just a weird use of all of the stars not named Becky, Dom, or Rhea.
Bron has been in a "putting people over on his way out" phase for a while.

So... is Tegan Nox supposed to be good as she looked very not good in the ring tonight. She runs in the ring (particularly corner to corner) like a celebrity wrestler, and not the recent surprisingly good crop of them.
Three major knee surgeries, plus ring rust from not working much. Add to that it's probably going to take a long while before she regains confidence that her knees are going to hold up.

P.S. First non-mod who says something about locking the thread early in the month takes the biggest L of all. Sorry, Saraya makes the rules; I just enforce them.
So that would be you then?

Bracket for the Women's Breakout Tournament in the first spoiler box, speculation below.
Jordan/Vice still makes sense as a final; Dame and Palmer probably not winning their quarters (OTOH, she will probably make Lola look very good. )
Petrovic/Parker is a total tossup, but I think Petrovic/Vice is more exciting as the right-side semi.
Jackson probably gets through with Meta-Four interference, and Kelani reverses same to win her semi?
I'm surprised at the reaction I'm seeing online to this, which is pretty universally that Lola has it in the bag. Yes, Lola is over to the people in the NXT arena, but Kelani is the one who management has a rocket strapped to. The speed she went from LVL Up debut to NXT featured storyline (working with a main roster performer no less) is pretty much unparalleled. And then when Dana got released they pivoted and had her working with a veteran like Blair at a PLE (pre-show, but still).

She has always shown a good bit of talent and potential, but she really hit next level in these matches with Becky. You should check out the first one from NXT tv and her matches with Thea hail and Lyra Valkyria if you have the chance.
Lights Out match with Wendy Choo was a lot of fun as well.

That would be wildly unexpected and chaotic and now I will be disappointed if it's not the case.
No TMS, but we did get a couple of wildcards in Jakara Jackson and Ariana Grace. I call them wildcards because we have no idea how they will be slotted. Will Jakara get the big push because she's in a featured program or will she get jobbed because she is mostly a tag team wrestler (so far). Grace was in last years tournament, but has since been out with a knee injury for almost the entire year. Will they give her a big push, or take a wait and see approach?
The totally unknown is Jaida Parker who hasn't even been on LVL Up yet. I would assume she will be a jobber, but you never know.

Meanwhile, on LVL UP :
Fallon Henley's hot streak continues with a fun, solid match against a returning Ariana Grace, who is now workshopping a beauty queen gimmick (although a "you may kiss my hand" moment feels more like generic princess. )
Grace always had a beauty queen gimmick.

A possible wildcard would be Olympic gold medallist Tamyrah Mensah Stock, should they decide to debut her here. Otherwise your picks look good.

Nope, that's Tiana Caffey, she changed her social media last week. Whether she keeps that name now is another question

Well, when you end up getting so many head injuries...
The GUNTHER thing was disproven, I believe it was Redditors making shit up.
Reddit got it from the Observer board, whether they got it from somewhere else or made it up I don't know. That place is AEW's TNA-Asylum (the Billion dollar TV contract story started with one of their moderators), so it certainly wouldn't surprise me if it started there.

Xavier Woods? I seem to recall him and Tyler Breeze talking about FCW in a video recently.

Add Brooklyn Barlow and Ikemen Jiro to the list.

Yulisa Leon disappoints me, but they were also doing nothing with her and Feroz despite showing some real potentially as a team.
Yeah, she's the only one so far I care about in a "I want them on my TV" kind of way, but like I said, apparently she asked for her release.

There was a rumour a couple of days ago she asked for her release.

Others seem to indicate this means Raw and NXT moving.
I'm sure Raw will get a good deal, but will anyone pay up for NXT?

I dunno when they will release talent. If they do at all.
I'm sure they will have some releases now that the merger has gone through, simply because that is what WWE has always done and it seems they have held back from rocking the boat pre-merger. I doubt there will be mass-releases, and I expect they will wait for contracts to expire when it comes to big names.
I do wonder if they will take this as an opportunity to get rid of some "job for life" types (I'm looking at you Tamina Snuka) and blaming it on Endeavor.

Even though I like them, not sure I see any of the women getting hired. None of them are surefire stars, and NXT is overflowing with talented women right now. Among the men, Richard Holliday and Jay Malachi seem the consensus picks.

How much better can Jade get? If she’s been training with Bryan Danielson even off and on for two years then I don’t see her improving much beyond where she’s at.
Honestly, I don't think training is what she needs most. She's been in AEW for what, two years (?) and she's barely worked any competitive matches. She needs to be on the house shows working long(ish), called in the ring matches with solid experienced workers.

Episodes go up on Hulu on Saturdays before making their way to Peacock/WWE Network on a 2 week delay. Similar to Main Event.
Not true at all. Don't know about Hulu, but Peacock/WWE Network air them the same week as they're taped.
Speaking of LVL UP, I've been catching up and I was really impressed by a Lola Vice vs. Valentina Feroz match from about mid-July. Really fast and smooth grappling with some terrific kicks. Obviously it's not going to be four star match or anything when it's 5 minutes with no big moves, but I thought they both looked great in it.
I'm still a few weeks behind, but of the new debuts I've seen, the one to look for is Karmen Petrovic. Great look, and while her matches have been very basic she looks smooth and confident.

I guess that's it for Trish now?
In the same interview where she talked about wanting to do a ladder match and a steel cage match she specifically mentioned wanting to do Elimination Chamber, so I would expect her back for Mania season.
