The most interesting thing here is how streaming will affect production when it comes to things like match length/commercials/structuring where breaks used to be/etc.
Netflix has the ad-tier now and I would assume things would be similar for people on that. Maybe with fewer, or shorter breaks? How it will be for those on the premium tiers will be interesting.

Not... the best... name... for... the purpose...
You are aware it's not a WWE thing? It's an NCAA program (after they lost numerous lawsuits), and it's going on all over college athletics.

If she serves the full terms successively (which I'm doubting) then the sentence goes into 2041 when she will be 67-68. Even in Florida, i'd imagine that if you're in prison and you're not a total idiot, your release date gradually moves closer (also probability-wise, I'd think women's prisons are less violent than men's prisons). Any rehabilitation that actually happens in prison is probably a happy accident since the interest in rehabilitating people isn't necessarily that strong. But getting Tammy away from drugs/alcohol for a period of time would be a huge benefit to her (I mean, it's possible to still get fucked up on stuff in prison, but this is as close to involuntary drug rehab that they're gonna get)
Saw someone say that in Florida 85% is the minimum time you can serve.

Since he’s still under contract with NJPW until February (I think), I thought this was about Mercedes Mone.
The "respected pro" or whatever he said doesn't sound like her. That makes me think Chris Hero or something.

Top 3 Commentators:

Has Nigel improved a lot or something? I've been watching some NXT starting pre-pandemic and into it, and the improvement in commentary when Wade Barrett takes over for Nigel is massive.

This actually isn't the first time the WWE had a show on the CW. Remember that Saturday Morning Slam existed for a few minutes.
On one hand, I think that NXT would quickly end up in the same realm as Main Event (formerly on Ion) or 2000s Superstars (formerly on WGN America)
But on the other hand, getting the NXT shows off of widely watched cable would do wonders for being able to keep NXT guys fresh once they get onto shows that people watch. We might see the Triple H version of promoting NXT guys that we never saw in the 2010s because Vince would kneecap all the new guys.
Smackdown started on UPN, which is one the networks that combined to create the CW, and they aired on CW for several years as well.
Also, you do know CW is a broadcast network, right? As in, it's available to far more people than USA is? They currently do dogshit ratings, but I don't see any reason why NXT would drop significantly, and they would have significant potential to grow.
Edit: It's official

Whoa, interesting. Maybe reading too much into it, but I find it interesting they're putting NXT on broadcast as opposed to either main show (or a new Main Event/Superstars-type franchise). I gotta assume based on this that NBCU must be offering some big money for Smackdown (or at least the most they feel they can get, given that Fox pretty much publically blasted their viewers for not buying shit or watching anything else)
Edit: Am I going insane or did I recently see here that CW was going to be syndicating a Billy Corgan-NWA show on their affiliates?
Rumor is the NWA deal fell through because of a cocaine angle they did on their latest PPV. CW's new owners are apparently religious whackjobs.
CW is interesting because basically nobody watches it, but it's available in WAY more homes than USA is.

How does that work? Is this really a thing? Just seems weird since the entire joshi scene has never really had an issue with dropkicks.
IIRC it was said on Alexa's interview show she had on the network. I want to say it was during an interview with Miz?

I’m sure the WWE has tried to get tall women wrestlers to perform dropkicks with varying degrees of success
According to Alexa Bliss dropkicks aren't very popular for women because they apparently have a tendency to make them pee themselves...

Bill Watt's granddaughter was at the latest WWE "athlete" tryouts. Names are starting to leak of the people starting in January, so we should know soon whether she got hired.

as for what Flair could do while under a contract... former ballplayers who become special assistants to the GM don't necessarily have to do anything public-facing so if Flair could have the occasional coherent piece of advice or observation of what he notices on TV, that's probably not bad as long as the energy drink people pay most of his salary.
Why would the energy drinks company pay AEW to hire their spokesperson if he wasn't going to be on TV?

Creeds face Alpha Academy tonight, and according to Meltzer this is a permanent promotion.

ROW have put up the full Axiom vs. Charlie Dempsey match:

For anyone interested, we're getting a rematch of the Axiom - Riley Osborne match on Level Up tonight. The first one was well liked, but had a botched finish (Osborne kicked out but the ref counted three).

Yeah I know, it's a starter gimmick, you can always switch up, Roman used to be Leekee and Cena used to be the Terminator, yadda yadda. Still some goofy stuff. I'm not sure what kind of modern trends or stereotypes you can make into modern gimmicks though. They've probably already got a live blogger character or... I dunno, what else is popular? There are a lot of junkies, maybe bring back Billy Kidman to try and help out some troubled youth? Please god don't ever let them do a MAGA character...
Stevie Turner is a streamer.

Meltzer says there are 11 wrestlers starting at the PC in January. Presumably these are both from the recent indie tryout, and from the "athlete" tryouts at Summerslam.
He mentions Finlay, Malachi and Ali as three.
Also, since I just happened to look at it as I was typing; tonight's show is the 8th straight Smackdown with a crowd over 10000.

Rumor is that at least these three got signed from the recent WWE tryouts for indie wrestlers and are starting in January
-Lucky Ali (Former DPW Worlds champ)
-Jay Malachi (Current DPW Worlds champ)
-Brogan Finlay (Son of Dave Finlay. David's brother)

WWE have changed the setup for Survivor Series , presumably with a smaller stage, and added 2800 extra seats. I remember a rumor when they ran MSG a while ago that they were looking to design a new stage that didn't take away so many seats. Be interesting to see what it looks like.

NXT had 798k viewers this week. So they retained about 87%ish of last weeks viewers (dropping from 921 to 798)
Pretty great ratings for a show where I don't think any of the main roster people who appeared were advertised. Will be very interesting to see next weeks number for what is a special episode, and one with no less than five women's matches advertised.

Grace has improved a lot character and presentation wise. Kind of love the Beauty Queen bs pre-match with her trying to graciously accept a by. Her reactions to Reece's comeback during the match were fun as well. Honestly, she felt more like what you would expect from the daughter of Santino here than what we got from her last year.

I can absolutely see WWE using this to either get a working agreement with Stardom, or backing Rossy's presumed new company.
As for Bushiroad rebuilding around Mayu, that is probably not a good idea as I would expect her to be out the door the second her deal is up. If she didn't have the extended deal because of her movie she would probably be the most likely of all to go with Rossy.
