It feels like we're in a holding position where they're giving the Mariah/Toni storyline some time to develop and desperately trying to keep Toni heel until Mariah turns on her. All of her most recent challengers, Purazzo, Rosa and now Deeb got booed even though none of them performed with heelish tendencies (until they ran with it for Deonna). Shame for Deeb she never seems to be in the right place at the right time to be champion when her in-ring talent has always shined.Â
Also strange they're currently presenting Mariah as more of a face against the Outcasts.
I am excited for the future storylines though and with hopefully Hayter and DMD returning before Wembley we could get something special there. God I miss Hayter she would mix so well with all the new girls.

Reason I can buy Gulak's Larry Davidesque explanation is the sheer amount of handshaking you have to do in wrestling as that dumb respect thing you have to shake everyone's hand every day. If you're shaking dozens of hands every day you're gonna mess one up, especially if you're in a hurry. Plus if you were the type of person to grope a woman, why choose someone who could rip your arm off with her bare hands and kill you with it if she wanted? I lean more towards it being an accident, hopefully won't stain his career if it was. If it turns out it wasn't yeah fuck him, but we'll have to see.

Deeb needs to tighten up that Paradise Lock, both times she's used it recently her opponent looked as though they could just get up. I'm sure Toni will attempt to break the internet by her reaction to being in it at DoN though.

Expected Worse Friends instead got Worse EVPs. Weird show for sure, although I enjoyed the new gauntlet match and Ospreay being in it was a nice surprise.
Oh and Kenny's back next week but he's still ill but not too ill to eat an EVP trigger I'm guessing we're heading towards AEW: Civil War.

I've been looking forward to this ever since someone said it was Rosemary's Baby crossed with Network, but it actually exceeded my expectations. It feels like a spiritual successor to The Exorcist. I watch a lot of horror and consider a film making me jump or have a guttural reaction a great compliment to the filmmakers but when... SPOILERS...

I swear I had goosebumps run all the way from my toes to my scalp. Haven't reacted like that to a movie in over a decade. I'll see how I feel in a few days but this could be the best movie I've seen since Uncut Gems.
Hope this is a big success love to see what Shudder(?) could make next with a bigger budget.

Voted for Alien just on name value I think it will make bank. But Blink Twice has piqued my interest with that cast of 80s and 90s actors.

I hope they show highlights of BCC / CMLL + Bryan / Panther on this show too. To show prospective new fans that AEW showcases all styles of wrestling, not just the North American generic WWE style. Maybe a 5 minute highlights package would be better than whatever this worked shoot shoot work stuff will be.

Standing on the same desk I thought the Archer/Danielson match was motn. Did you see that running leg kick BD did at one point? He legit sprinted at him and kicked his hamstring as hard as he could. It looked... real. Which is why we're here after all. Love for Archer to get some gold as a thank you for heating up his opponents for the last five years.Â
