  1. I saw a quote this morning that said comparing Prince to Michael Jackson was always apples to oranges. The better comparison is Prince to Miles Davis. Yup, that one resonates.

Yeah, I think they legitimately asked themselves what character can we create that will make everyone hate him.  Someone spoke up and said, "Did any of you ever have a douchebag with a guitar at your high school?  That guy who learned how to play 3 chords and every girl you liked acted like he was fucking Jimi Hendrix.  He wore a scarf in the summer and looked like he hadn't showered in two weeks."  Then everyone in the room looked at him and said, "Yeah, I hated that dude."  Then we got the "The Drifter" Elias Sampson, and everyone immediately wanted to punch him in the face.

You have just described Chris Jericho NOW minus the guitar.

  3. The recaps were fun, especially the post match with Finn and Nakamura.

Crew and Samson bore the ever loving shit out of me. With Crews, it's the white meat baby face with no one to hate angle. Magnum TA would have been the shits without Tully Blanchard or Nikita. Elias Samson isn't Tully Blanchard or the Russian Nightmare. He's a guy with a guitar and a scarf. I don't hate Samson's in-ring work. As another poster put it, at worst, he's solid in the ring. His gimmick however is the drizzling shits. I think a repackage for Samson is in order.

Which brings me to my next point, why don't we have a cooking thread where we can all exchange recipes? I hear the Barbarian makes a great chicken piccata.

I'd be all for this. I love to cook and have some great recipes to share. Also, I'd like to invite you to watch my 20 minute video. It's called Ramsey Gold. All I need is some financial information and where I can send the autographed 8x10...

  5. My youngest daughter goes in today to get fitted for a back brace. She has scoliosis and since she started puberty, the curves in her back accelerated so the doctor prescribed the brace. She'll wear it 20 hours a day for two years. It's a Boston brace so it pretty much disappears beneath he clothes but, dammit, she's an 11 year old girl and this is a big change. This is the option that should stave off the need for surgery. As a dad, like all dads, I just wish I could take this on for her myself.
