  1.

The Rock Vs. Triple-H Ironman match is the most entertaining Ironman match I've seen.  I don't know if it's the best or any of that technical jazz, but it's probably the only Ironman match I would be willing to watch twice, which must count for something.

I guess you never saw the Rude vs. Steamboat Iron Man in WCW then.

Yeah I've watched Rude/Steamboat so many times I've lost count. Easily the best. But I assume he meant to imply best *60 Minute* Iron Man match.

  2. No winner shall be declared until the mention of Grace Zabriskie.

    Also Nancy Parsons.

And jeez people Karen Black JUST passed away.

I also love whenever Mary Kay Place turns up. She's like Dianne Wiest without Oscars.

  3. When I think "character actress" I don't think of somebody like Frances McDormand. She's just an actress. If McDormand is a character actress then so is Kate Winslett. I mean, McDormand has been nominated for 4 Oscars and often gets top billing.

When I think character actress, I think of somebody like O-Lan Jones, who's probably popped up in more movies or TV shows playing a waitress than Dean Norris has playing a cop.

  4. Everybody needs to go out of their way to watch A Face in the Crowd. It's probably right at the top of my ballot so far and features one of the greatest film characters of all time, Andy Griffith's "Lonesome Rhodes". Griffith is a completely sinister charming monster and the movie is really dark, especially considering the time it was released. I have no clue where they discovered Griffith at this point as I don't think he had acted much if at all in TV/film, but I can't picture anybody doing a better job.

  5. I'm not even sure Armageddon is reasonably declarable as a bottom 3 Michael Bay film.

I don't go out of my way to purposely watch dogshit, but I liked The Rock a lot and was excited for Armageddon because of that. I was even more excited when it had guys like Keith David, Steve Buscemi, Billy Bob Thornton, etc. But then holy shit it was 2.5 hours of constant bullshit with almost nothing watchable.

  6. Is there any way you could re-post the results of the original 90s poll? I had been using it to go through and watch movies I hadn't seen yet and I know there's probably some higher ranked ones that I haven't watched yet. Shoot, even PM me the list if you feel calling attention to the old list may spoil the new list too much.
