  1. Having the Shield beat Evolution so decisively and so quickly was a really bad idea. After that they had no choice but to break them up.

They could've had them pursuing their own feuds while staying a group. Reigns can still go after Orton and HHH but he can also continue to have the 6 man Shield tags on TV which make him look good. Rollins winning the IC title and defending against Cesaro and Barrett would be a good direction for him. And you could put Ambrose in a blood feud with Bray Wyatt, which would definitely be better than what Bray's doing now. Then later you can have them go after Lesnar.

It just seems so easy to me to keep booking these guys as a group until at least next Mania season.

  2. I don't think he was lazy but in 2005 they basically gave him the "he's not a good wrestler but he's a tough kid" gimmick. There's this triple threat wih Angle and Michaels from 2005 where Cena gets taken out early and most of the match is Michaels vs Angle. Finally Cena pops up, hits the FU on Michaels and it's over. That whole year was filled with this kind of absurd booking that gave Cena a reputation with smarks that he's only recently recovered from.

  3. As somebody who only started watching 80s/early 90s stuff about 5 years ago, I couldn't understand why so many people regarded WWF Curt Hennig so highly. It really is night and day between his WWF and AWA runs.

Because he was entertaining as fuck?
Yeah he was. But there's clearly this perception all over the internet that Mr Perfect had a lot of really good/great matches in WWE and like Matt D said, the matches just aren't there.

Seriously, go to wrestlingforum or Reddit's wrestling section and see how most people there view him without ever seeing his AWA stuff.

  4. Thee crowd went into random chant mode for a long Bryan-Orton match back in January or February too. It doesn't have anything to do with how over the wrestlers are. It's just something that a lot of fans are going to want to do in the middle of a long-ish match these days.
