So New Jack worked for me quite a bit during 2003-2005 in IWC. Never had an issue with him, and was always fine with my wishes regarding language and level of violence. However, I believe it was Super Indy III he worked with Balls Mahoney. Brought the above Wolverine claw.  I received a call the next morning at 6:30 a.m. from Jack telling me he left the claw at the building. I assumed by that time the janitor would have found it, and bye bye building for us. I remember driving up there at top speed, and making it to the building just after 7 a.m. The janitor was indeed there cleaning. As luck would have it, I found the claw before the janitor did (wrapped in a towel in the part of the bleachers behind the hard cam where the wives/girlfriends of the workers sat). We didn't lose the building.

I don't know if this is a controversial statement.  Balor is more over than Seth now right? I mean it's pretty close. I don't want to run with this fantasy DEMON returns idea against Brock because while I love that idea it seems to be more internet fantasy then where WWE may be going, right?  Though,  I'm not sure if they've decided what to do with Bryan.

It could be Bryan vs. Seth and DEMON vs. Brock but I haven't seen anything that points to Seth challenging a SDL guy.  It does beg the question. If the sheets are right and it's just Brock/Seth then who is facing Bryan?  My left field pick would be Mustafa Ali but I'd settle for Rey Mysterio too.  I would fucking hate Orton because as always fuck Orton but it's a possibility.  Ugh.  It's a possibility.

I would imagine, at least as of now, Mania looks something like:

    Seth vs Brock

    AJ vs Orton

    Bryan vs Rey Jr.

    Shane vs Miz

    HHH vs Batista (??)

    Rousey vs Charlotte vs Becky

Maybe Cena vs Lars Sullivan or Lars dominating and winning Andre battle royal..

  3. It's ironic you shared that because in a similar way, I've had to do that for years. As a funeral director, I walk into a room with an often devastated family, and have to be on point, and positive in spite of the circumstances, and execute every wish in a seamless, timely manner. Almost like a wedding planner with 48 hours to plan everything. When I make arrangements for families whose young child has passed, or whose young adult had died under tragic circumstances, or someone ravaged by a horrible disease, it's all I can do to keep it together. And sometimes, when they leave, I breakdown. It's natural, but man it takes it out of you. The biggest thing I miss about promoting wrestling, above all else, was having an opportunity to have a release, somewhere to direct energy to that didn't involve death and despair. As I get older, further along in this career and further away from wrestling, it's become much more difficult.

  4. As a funeral director since 2000, I've seen cancer's results on an almost daily basis, and the toll it takes on the person and their loved ones. My stepmother passed away in December of 2016 after beating cancer 15 times before. She was a warrior. Reigns is a warrior. My best to him and his family.

    Tito Santana says hi.

Worked a 3 day, 3 show program with Tito when I managed "Beef Stew" Lou Marconi.  In the planning of the first match, every other word out of Tito's mouth was F**K.. I was so amused I couldn't keep from smiling.  When he worked for me a handful of times years later, I wasn't around for the spot calling...

  6. So many great posts on here thanks for sharing.

To this day, I haven't come to terms with most of it.

I was there at the ECW Arena for his ascension, and knew him fairly well from my behind the scenes interactions since many of the workers wrestled for me in Pittsburgh on their weekends off.

I was there for his three day tryout swing with the WWF, and saw the Bob Holly, Adam Bomb, and Owen Hart matches live. I was well pleased when he signed his deal, but didn't have much hope for either he or Eddie.

To be honest, once I was fully entrenched in promoting and the funeral thing, I had little time to pay attention to the WWE product. But I was able to catch the Mania when he and Eddie ended the show in the ring.  As a long time gigantic fan of both, it was otherworldly to see this happen.

I'll never forget the call I received from Tom Brandi when Owen fell.

I'll also never forget the text I received from another worker telling me of Chris, Nancy, and Daniel's passing, and then following up with the unbelievable truth.

I've never looked at wrestling the same way.

    It's a shame because since I was 5, I was a gigantic fan.

  7. I was at the first Hogan post match WrestleMania show in Pittsburgh.  Walked up the night off and bought 2 front row tickets. House was horrible for a Hogan event- somewhere between 2,500-2,800 people.  I remember the heat was put on the fact that it was a tag, and not a singles match.  Next few shows featuring the tag match listed above drew poorly as well...
