    When did he admit it?

    Quote

"Our relationship was intensely passionate and at times volatile, but always bound by love.

Neither party has made false accusations for financial gains. There was never an intent of physical or emotional harm.

Amber wishes the best for Johnny in the future. Amber will be donating financial proceeds from the divorce to a charity."

The joint statement seems to heavily imply that Amber was telling the truth

Elias is in a strange place. Like, he FEELS like a big deal at times and gets great crowd responses but the in-ring work is just there and it's a gimmick that has inherent limitations. How far can they go with this guy?

Longest reigning Intercontinental Champion winning the title from a former World Champion seems to be his ceiling based on WWE history

Jinder is such a great heat magnet. They're giving a guy who smarks universally hate -- roided up, came up in the WWE's system and has no indie cred, "eh" in terms of ring work -- a huge push. It's working in terms of angering the people who make the most noise at events, but the network, etc. Is it a draw or not? I don't really care one way or the other. But it has been a while since there has been a person who is hated this much.

If I remember the latest WWE Conference Call, the WWE and the WWE Network were doing extremely well under the timeline of Jinder's reign to include their numbers from India. So Jinder didn't hurt business. Now you could question if the numbers would have been even better had they put the belt on AJ earlier but it might be hard to prove that it would have done better under Styles

But yeah, looks like the question is whether an NJPW/ROH/CMLL supershow can draw 10,000.

One thought is that they would need to have a show with angles and rivalries. I'm not sure a dream match card or the BC variety hour has enough pull.

As noted, a decent portion of the crowd will show up because it's the hip event or because they want to stick it to Vince or some shit.

Obviously, Bryan Danielson is the wildcard. His comeback match against Omega or Cody would move a significant amount of tickets (especially against Omega).

Jericho is another wildcard. You know if this gains steam he'd want to be there. That would be two mainline WWE main eventers on top.

If Bryan Danielson's on the card, doesn't that negate Cody's bet since Daniel Bryan Danielson is a wayyy bigger star than Cody/BC and seeing the return of the American Dragon to the ring would be the big draw?

Given their background in Team Hell No, a Kane feud made a lot of sense, actually, and the match that they had at Extreme Rules (right?) was set up exactly as it should have been to make Bryan look dominant. It was the build that was the issue.

The build was set around the fact they didn't want too much physicality with Bryan as they were trying to see if he could go on a very limited basis (at least how I am remembering it). Also they only had Batista booked through April due to film commitments so I would think they go Batista/Bryan to get one more main event out of Batista, especially since Big Dave's agreement involved winning the Rumble, winning the belt at Mania and dropping it to Orton at Backlash. This still allows him to main event Backlash. Again not sure what the plan for the Shield was if Bryan stayed healthy.

I think the Bryan injury actually worked out better for everyone who wasn't Roman Reigns. Hunter got to be active a bit longer, Batista got to have fun, Orton got to have a righteous complaint that he never got a one on one rematch for the title he lost, Seth Rollins got much needed heel turn, Dean Ambrose got the needed direction as a upper midcard babyface, John Cena got another title reign, Brock Lesnar got to look even more monstrous by killing Cena to win the title, Daniel Bryan got to return, fuck up WWE's plans again and got to start of the string of really good Roman Reigns singles matches.

    Here's the deal with Bryan:

1.) He was being given the Zack Ryder treatment vs Kane. They were booking him running away with Brie in fear and the fans were starting to turn on him. You can go back and watch those episodes of Raw and see how bemused he was to be getting the Cena reaction.

2.) He was going to be sacrificed to Brock at Summerslam.

3.) Vince had already decided that Roman was the guy. Bryan had moaned to him that he wanted to be the guy instead, but I think they would have gone through the motions at least one time more. Bryan only got the title in the first place to heat up Orton for the title unification and Batista after all. Vince was never fully getting on board.

I always thought #1 was due to Bryan's body failing him and they wanted him to see if he could work through it with one of the safest workers on the roster while giving their top babyface group some big names to work with. If Bryan was healthy, I always assumed the Backlash main event was Bryan/Batista and then Payback would have been Bryan/Orton. You run Bryan/HHH one more time and then you sacrifice Bryan to Brock when The Authority has nowhere else to turn to get the belt off of Bryan. Not sure what you do with the Shield as the Wyatts were in a feud with Cena but I'm sure they could come up with something.

Roman was getting rather good reactions in 2014, it was believable that he would be the guy. Roman's 2014 was marred by a bad timing injury and then Daniel Bryan returning at the Rumble in an effort to regain the title he never lost. If Daniel Bryan stays healthy AND Roman stays healthy I think the Rumble 2015 turns out to not be a huge disaster.

  7. Crazy thought alert but what if Balor isn't fodder for Strowman/Kane but ends up beating both in a triple threat match. Strowman, for better or worse, is headed to a showdown with Triple H and already has the Game fearing him so he doesn't really need to destroy Kane. If Balor were to beat both big men, it could put him into a position of being a threat to Brock

  8. Looking at all of this Dustin Rhodes stuff, what if WWE found a way to move Dustin to Smackdown (Maybe a trade of Rhodes/Rollins/Crews for Owens/Zayn) and did a modified rehash of Miz's program with Lawler with AJ in the place of the Miz and Dustin in the place of Lawler. You can run AJ Styles/Dustin Rhodes for two months for the title to have a program for AJ leading up to Mania.

Nah. You don't want to kill off Paige and company yet either.

Building to Paige defending the belt against Asuka at Mania would fairly logical, but I don't know how you occupy the Empress until then.

Asuka gets her reward for being the sole survivor of the women's Team RAW as a title match vs. Alexa. Then before the match starts Team Paige destroys both women and they go overboard destroying Asuka. Table spots, chair spots, possibly a blade job if Vince would allow it on a woman. Make sure the interference happens before the bell rings so  Asuka doesn't lose her undefeated streak plus it keeps her on the shelf for a month to allow Paige to get into the title picture. Paige then wins the RAW Women's Title at the Rumble and as she's celebrating, Asuka comes out and kills Team Paige dead. This gives two months to come up with various ways to pit Asuka against Team Paige. You could even have Paige recruit other women to be roadblocks for Asuka which would eat up more time. Hell you can add more time off with Paige offering a $100,000 bounty to injure Asuka, allowing Asuka to go into Mania "injured" which would allow her to be the underdog.

In the 90s it was Bob Ryder, Wade Keller and the absolutely fantastic throw a dart at a board Al Isaacs.

Yokozuna will finally join the Hart Foundation this week!

Also all this talk abou late 90s Internet writers reminds me of Chris Hyatte who I thought was the best back when I was a teenager.

  11. Logically it makes sense for the NXT 3 to want to attack Charlotte but they’re smart enough to realize that if they attack her first then they will have to contend with Becky and Naomi.

So they hanged up on Naomi first. Becky, being the brave dumb Babyface she is went after the three by herself and now with Charlotte’s two friends out, the face of the WWE women’s division was exposed with no one to help her.

The thing that made no sense to me was, where was Carmella? The Champ was systematically destroyed and the MITB holder was nowhere in sight even after the three left? The logical answer was she was still in a medical facility after she repeatedly slapped Asuka
