Probably because that rarely, if ever, happened during their initial run. With few exceptions, it was their black tactical gear and nothing else.

Not a dealbreaker, but I hope they go all black, Sierra Hotel India, entrance through the crowd for TLC

I honestly want them to use the Shields that were made for them that they never used, bring them to the ring and just beat the hell out of everyone with them.

If the match never gets started and they just beat the shit out of each other for 30 minutes will anyone care that there was no match/finish since it would set up to a certain stipulation the night after Takeover?

Yeah - it definitely came off as they couldn't think of how to protect Nia so they kept her out

Sasha and Bayley weren't as lucky

I'd argue there's more money in Nia than Bayley/Sasha right now and that Sasha can eat losses and not have any blowback from how over she is (this is a similar problem that Becky has on SDL). I kind of wish they would've let Bayley stay in NXT longer and turn heel just to give her more time so they don't hotshot her in 2017 and make her directionless.

I want to live in the alternative universe where Rusev got the Jinder push. The sun must shine a bit brighter in that world.

The problem with that alternative universe is that former Sen. Linda McMahon is now President of the United States and the push of Rusev is less about Handsome Rusev's talents and more about Vince trolling political pundits who believe that Linda won the election due to Russian interference. Also the Moscow WWE Show is going to be headlined with Rusev (c) vs. "All-American" Dolph Ziggler so be careful what you wish for.

My guess re: Zayn is being fobbed off by Shane last week when he warned him about KO, and decided to teach him a lesson.....and probably Shane getting his win back by going over Sami in 5 minutes and making him look like a tool.

Shane hasn’t gone over anyone in 10 years. If we’re going with Shane/Sami my guess is it will end with a Helluva Kick

  5. The way they heroize the Warrior means either he was Stephanie's first love or one of her favorite wrestlers. I mean he never made a super ton of money for Vince, he wasn't very well liked by his co-workers and by the office (outside of maybe Linda McMahon). I don't get exactly why they trump up the Warrior when there are a ton of other dead wrestlers who could fill that void with way less baggage.

  6. If there was a follow up spot later in the match where black trunks finally knocks the big guy down with some missile dropkick or something, I'd imagine the crowd would pop. So I'm in the camp of cool spot if it leads to a high spot where the underdog takes down the massive beast.

Lastly, I think Booker T is the best heel color commentator they've had in years.  Graves is too flip-floppy for my liking, going to bat for some heels (Like Bliss), then going overdrive to praise the faces that it's clear Vince has instructed him to praise (Jordan, Reigns etc.) often at the expense of people he generally praises (Like Miz tonight).

The thing with Graves is he's consistent. He's always praised Jordan due to his personal friendship with him (has he mentioned it on WWE TV or was that just on NXT TV?). Reigns is the type of character Graves would like. The two people who annoy him the most (Elias and Enzo) get the brunt of Graves ire due to the fact that they are loud and obnoxious. Reigns just goes out there, says what he needs to say and then beats the hell out of someone. There's a clear line with Graves (the only exception being his love for Eva Marie when she embodied most of the traits that he does not like about other wrestlers).

  8. I know WWE wouldn't do it for a variety of reasons, but they could make RAW a three hour Bobby Heenan tribute show and no one would bat an eye. Also I will cringe during the inevitable moment tonight where Corey Graves says something outlandish and Michael Cole yells at him "WILL YOU STOP!"

  9. I like the idea of Alexa pinning Nia at No Mercy after Emma and Sasha do a big double team move to Nia. Then as she's celebrating Asuka comes out. You then have weeks of Alexa trying to get out of her match with Asuka saying she's never beaten anyone to deserve a title shot and then you run clips of her NXT run beating Bayley, Nia, Mickie James. If the rumors are true that Asuka is one of Hunter's favorites, you could essentially have her do the same story she did in NXT. She's so dominant that she will go on an undefeated streak.

My fantasy booking for her involves her being Stephanie McMahon's cornerwoman when Steph vs. Rousey happens. Then when Rousey wins, Steph blames Asuka and now you spend most of 2018 with Steph doing everything she can to end Asuka's undefeated streak and failing to do so to the point Stephanie finally comes up with a match that break Asuka. Book a casket match and redo the finish of the 1994 Royal Rumble where every single female heel comes out and takes out Asuka (maybe add some of the NXT women since it will be more impressive if it takes like 15 women to take out Asuka). This way Asuka can finally lose, but no one thinks she lost legit because of how Stephanie stacked the deck to cartoon villain levels of evil. And you still have Asuka never getting pinned or submitting so you can use that down the line to promote an up-and-coming babyface to be the first one to actually pin Asuka.

Bray just won the Rollins feud, also. You see that godawful win/loss record floated from time to time, but it fails to consider the vast majority of those losses are either dark matches or house shows. He actually wins more often than not if you only count TV and PPV singles matches. Which is not to say he's been protected exactly or written well; I think it's an interesting case study in there being more to booking than adding up wins and losses. (Obviously his Wrestlemania record hurts, though.)

He's a heel, Inwouldnt expect him to have a great Mania record. Also he's Mania losses have come at the hands of John Cena, The Undertaker and Randy Orrin. Plus he had a segment with the Rock. If he was jobbing to Cesaro or Rusev at Mania that might be troublesome.

I remember at the time being so certain Razor, my favorite wrestler, was going to win it. Then he got injured and I was sure it was going to be Shawn. Then he was out and I thought it had to be The Undertaker. Then Mabel won against some lame Razor surrogate and I was so angry I couldn't sleep. And on a school night!

Don't you dare disparage the great Savio Vega

Dear Lord of Light, we're gonna get stuck with a Wrestling 4 Horsewomen vs MMA 4 Horsewomen Survivor Series Match, aren't we?

So WWE gets their premier women to wrestle with one of the more famous UFC fighters and her posse which will likely get them mainstream publicity as well as force the creative teams to focus on other women for challengers to the titles instead of constantly relying on having the WWE Four Horsewomen in the title picture 24/7. Plus you'll get the visual of Rousey in the Dis-Arm-Her and the Bank Statement at some point.

  13. Is Cena officially on the RAW roster? If not I might have Daniel Bryan send some SDL guys to interefere on Cena's behalf to set in motion the RAW vs SDL Survivor Series main event where Roman leads team RAW and Cena leads team SDL

I would put Braun over Brock with some sort of wacky finish which continues the trend that Braun never actually wins on his own against top talent it's either someone intereferes, he uses a weapon or his opponent decides to dive into an ambulance. Plus I  am run Samoa Joe vs. Braun for the belt at Survivor Series and put Joe over.

Also I'd probably book Nia over Alexa in a quick squash to get her over as a monster babyface unless Asuka is going to debut. Then I'd have Alexa cheat to win and have Asuka debut by destroying Alexa and Nia Jax after the match.

I'd keep the belts on the Miz, Neville and Ambrose/Rollins in their matches whoever they face

Roman can come out of this not looking like a giant pussy if he just says fuck it and gets himself DQ'ed for destroying Cena with a chair like Austin destroying the Rock at WM17.

Then, Roman will finally get cheered for looking like the bad ass of The Shield instead of the Samoan John Cena Vince wanted.

Why wait till No Mercy? Just do it on RAW next week. Have Cena begin to cut another promo and have Roman destroy him from behind with a chair repeatedly, drag his carcass up to the announce table and powerbomb him through it, then have the low card guys come up to stop Reigns but he beats them away, Cena still drags himself to the stage where Reigns spears him off the stage. Angle comes out and Reigns pie faces him maybe another powerbomb which brings Nikki out to stop the brutality.

End result Cena's out so he can film his movie, Nikki is out so she can do DWTS and Roman has a reason to not be on TV for awhile as his excessive violence and attack on Angle warrant a suspension. Also you can save Cena/Reigns for later and not have it overshadow Brock killing Strowman

BREAKING NEWS - For the first time in the history of the publication, a Japanese wrestler will be #1 for the Pro Wrestling Illustrated Top 500 wrestlers.

And that wrestler is none other than current IWGP Champion Kazuchika Okada

For some reason I thought Misawa was #1 at some point. Then I saw how weird the 1997 list was with Dean Malenko being #1 and Misawa being #2

Zero fucks given Orton is the best. Why can't he combine his "fucks given" in-ring work with his "zero fucks given" twitter game?

Don't put him in the ring with bad wrestlers or give him two minutes to take a beating before the bell and then hit an RKO to win the match. Orton will bring his "fucks given" in-ring work when he's working with a good talent and/or someone he likes and respects
