  1. Taco Bell is great for when you are hungry at 2am and don't want to cook.

Despite my attitude towards vegetarians, I love their seven layer burrito for some reason.  I've also been known to such their verde sauce straight out of the packet.

  2.

    Adrian Wojnarowski @WojYahooNBA

Greivis Vasquez will sign a two-year, $13 million deal to stay with Toronto, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

Seems like a lot for a backup point guard, but this is a new age in the NBA.

They put him on the floor with Lowry, so he's going to be used more as a backup combo guard with sixth man minutes.  They probably gave him a little bit extra per year to accept a two year deal when he probably wanted the security of a 3-4 year deal at $4-5m per year.  It makes him a very movable contract to a team that needs a short-term solution at PG.

  3.

I wish someone would do a parody skit based on the daily lives of "sources close to *insert star athlete*" for journalist's stories.

I need to apply for that job.

    They did. Remember Entourage?

    I've never seen it.

    Wrong thread?

  4. Saag paneer is an indian dish made of spinach and cheese, elotes are a mexican corn on the cob delicacy served as street food, and you sir are a culinary philistine unqualified to give directions on how to butter toast.

So, elotes rubbed with bacon grease instead of butter wouldn't be an upgrade?

  5. If Lebron doesn't have any plans of going back to Cleveland, he really is the ultimate dick for not squashing these rumors and giving everyone hope again.

I forgave him for the decision because everyone makes stupid mistakes, but with announcing when he will be announcing on his website, this had turned into the same fucking thing.

As far as I can tell, he has not actually announced that he will announce his decision on his website.

What I love best about the Bo Dallas jog around the ring is that he doesn't go out of his way to bump Torito or even realize he does. It was less malicious (like him shoving Fernando) and more just a complete and total lack of self-awareness on his part. He's SO into himself for beating a mini and celebrating that he doesn't even realize there's another world.

Is it okay to say that Bo Dallas is my favorite thing in wrestling right now? Because he is.

Imagine his celebration when he beats Daniel Bryan.

It'll be almost exactly the same as his celebration for beating El Torito. Because Bo Dallas has no sense of scope or perspective. Which is brilliant.

Now, imagine the whining of certain types of fans while he celebrates beating Daniel Bryan.

  7. If Lebron goes back to the Cavs, diehard Pistons will no longer be able to comfort themselves with the thought "At least we're not Cleveland".  I predict some wrist slashing in Detroit if James goes back.

I have no problem with catering to American tastes.  I despise the more extreme version of an authenticity fetish held by some hipster foodies.

Is that a thing?  "American-style" Chinese food is awesome and I'm astounded to learn anyone looks down on it. It has a near 200-year history.

Calling that inauthentic is, kind of ironically, quite provincial and pretty insulting to like ten generations of immigrants and their descendents.

    Fuck food guys.

It's a thing.  There are some people who look down on fusion cooking, especially if you can characterize it as "Americanized".  A typical complaint is that Americanized food is sweeter and less spicy than "authentic" food.

It's not limited to Chinese.  There are those who criticize Americanized pizza that would make actual Italians in Italy cringe.  There are those who insist that ramen and sushi should be uber-traditional, ignoring that the Japanese can be quite innovative with these forms.  There are those who scoff at Tex-Mex and only want "real" Mexican food.

  10. Oh yeah, screw Gallup for not having any decent Asian places. Our Chinese friends that own a restaurant watered everything down for the locals who seem to think that salt is an exotic spice. Food is tolerable but unbelievably bland.

Do your Chinese friends serve things that aren't on the menu for Chinese diners?  Or do they have the "secret" Chinese menu that a bunch of white foodies with a sense of entitlement sometimes whine about not being allowed to order off of?

  11. If they keep Parons and add Bosh, that is still a very poor defensive team.  Bosh is an ok defender, but can he guard Duncan, Dirk, Griffin, Aldridge, etc out west every night?  Not likely.

Is he an upgrade over their current options?

Who needs any of that stuff? Detroiters can always hang out at American Jewelry & Loan. ;-)

Sad to hear SD is no longer a great deal of fun. Last time I was there was over a decade ago and I enjoyed the hell out of it. There was this one street that was pretty much all bars and bookstores... I could see myself living there...

They also have The Lucha Libre Taco Shop

why would you go to a mexican place that's well-known to tourists

like what the fuck are you even doing

oh man, do people think that restaurants that get on TV/in magazines are actually the good parts of a city

Possibly being in the area and using Yelp to find good nearby restaurants.

  13. Teaming with Sting is the only way Cena will ever turn heel. It'll be completely involuntary and he'll have no idea why he did it but he will.

I checked the Cagematch database for Sting tag partners.  (I'm assuming it includes all tag matches and not just four-man tag matches.)

#1 is Lex Luger with 154 matches.  How many times did Lex turn on Sting?

#2 is Dustin Rhodes with 44 matches.  Not turning on Sting is what drove him to go nuts and become Goldust.  Seeing Sting in TNA made him recall the drama and led him to become Black Reign.

#3 is Ricky Steamboat with 32 matches.  If he hadn't been injured, would he have inevitably turned on Sting?

#4 is Randy Savage with 29 matches.

#5 is a tie at 27 matches for Davey Boy Smith and El Gigante.  Sting and El Gigante won 100% of the matches where they teamed together.

  14. Sadly, the whole "ICP are good guys" meme seems to kinda screech to a halt the very instant you bring women into the equation. They're nastily misogynistic at times, I mean they've got issues with women. Go find the infamous clip of Shaggy making a rape victim cry to see what I mean.

Would you say they have more issues than Vince Russo?  How wide is the gap on that front?

  15. The match downloading thing is aggravating me because I apparently don't know how to mediafire.

What match downloading thing?  Have you tried using software like jdownloader?
