What a strange turn of events things would be if Plan C turned out to be Plan CM Punk, as opposed to Plan Conquer. I'm sure it's Plan Conquer.

What if Plan C turns out to be Cesaro and they continued the long-running tension between HHH/Stephanie and Heyman by having the Authority poach Cesaro away by claiming that Heyman is neglecting him?

The guy Heath Slater eliminated last night? That's some scary stuff.

That would be part of the storyline.  Cesaro's lack of progress after becoming a Paul Heyman guy is due to Heyman's mismanagement.  Cesaro should also be broke due to letting Heyman handle his finances.

So Cesaro would be the only guy from Switzerland who can't bank for himself?

Even the Swiss buy into the stereotype that the Jews are good with money.

  3. My guess is Minnesota wanted too many draft picks.  Asking for Wiggins, Bennett, and one 1st round pick seems fair.  But if they asked for 2-3 picks, then Cleveland would understandably balk.  It's better to ride the roller-coaster for a bit longer and see what happens than to give up that much of the future.

There are only so many future picks Cleveland is allowed to trade.  They can send out two of their three 2015 picks (Memphis, Miami, and their own, which Chicago has the right to swap with).  The protection on the pick they sent to Boston in the Jarrett Jack deal means the next available pick they can trade is 2021.

  5. I'll honestly be disappointed in WWE if they don't try to exploit this incident for some cheap heat.  They should have Lana go all-in on the crazy and suggest it is a false-flag operation designed by Obama to discredit Putin because he is jealous that Putin is better in bed and could wax the floor with Obama in a game of HORSE.

  6. For sure.  There is no doubt about that.  If this cost Wiggins then I think Lebron is being very short sighted.

Love is a great stats guy, but he is basically a Boozer/Lee hybrid on defense.  I don't understand giving up the defensive talent when you already have Kyrie (and a bunch of shooters who will play for peanuts) to help you on the other end.

There's reason to believe that he's an adequate defender who looks worse than he actually is because he has to compensate for having incredibly bad teammates.  He's not a shot blocker, but I'd say he is better than other big men he has played with, such as Al Jefferson and Nikola Pekovic.  My impression of watching him is that he can stay in front of his man when he's not rotating to cover for a teammate who blew an assignment, but that he often fails to put a hand in the face of his opponent.

OK, this is... odd.  (Source: PWInsider.com)

Members of Ring of Honor management were in New York City today, meeting with Marvel Comics regarding ways the companies can work together on future potential projects

    It's an obvious connection

ROH wrestlers have the selling abilities of a Marvel superhero.

They die and come back two years later?

  8. Forgive me if I come across wrong, but I would find it hot if my girl was into sports, like me. So, I have no issue with women in the sports media.

The question is, what do you do if your girl was into sports but sounds like a less intelligent Stephen A. Smith whenever she talked about sports?

Calling Erin Andrews a "bitch" is "cheap heat".  I could be a lot more insulting towards her without being so blatantly sexist.  I actually enjoy vile ad hominem attacks, but I like to see some effort in them so that they are classy vile ad hominem attacks that sounds better with an English accent.  The radio is probably not the appropriate venue for that, however.  That's what the internet is for.

  9.

Sac'to trolling Fowler by renewing talks with the Pistons about a possible Josh Smith trade.

Seriously, if they want him, I can't imagine getting a deal done can be all that hard.  Ship him out cheap, give Monroe a big deal to stay, have cap room the next couple of summers.  Don't spend it on guys like Gordon, Charlie V, J-Smooth, or Brandon Jennings.  Suck less.

I think they want value for Smith instead of simply getting addition by subtraction.  Then, they can use the cap space over the next couple of summers to sign more guys like Jodie Meeks, DJ Augustin, and Caron Butler.

  10. The inevitable apology:

"This morning on the radio I used a series of words to describe Erin Andrews' work at the All-Star Game. My choice of words was wrong; I was wrong to have used them. To all whom I offended -- particularly Ms. Andrews -- I apologize. There is no place for what was said. It was immature and completely uncalled for. I am often critical of media members and their work and recognize here that I've made the kind of mistake I would call out if it was done by another sportscaster or writer. Again, to all involved, I'm very sorry."

If that guy worked for me, he would not even have gotten a chance to issue an apology.  He'd be fired immediately.  Substitute a racial slur in place of "bitch" - do you think the guy would still have a job?

What would you have done if he had only said "Seriously, go away. Drop dead. I mean, seriously what the hell is wrong with her? First of all, follow-up. Second of all, the guy admitted he did it. He admitted it. He told reporters he threw a couple of pipe bombs. How is that social media’s fault? I hate her. I seriously hate her so much. Social media is the reason she has a big house! Shut up. Shut up." and didn't include the word "bitch"?

Who thinks it's okay to suggest someone should "drop dead" and who still has a problem with going even that far?  (I don't have a problem with it.)

  11. They can pull the trigger on Cesaro anytime they want/need to. He's so talented and great. It's awesome they took The Swing out of his arsenal for now. When he turns face, and he breaks that out on Heyman or whoever, it's going to get a gigantic pop.

Is there a time limit for how long you can keep a guy in a holding pattern?  What are the examples of a guy on the rise being put into a sideline program before being given a strong push without being harmed?  (The decision to sideline him in favor of pushing someone else can be bad, it just has to be something that doesn't lower his peak of overness.)

  12. The Warriors used their amnesty on Charlie Bell and waived Jeremy Lin rather than use it on Andris Biedrins.  (They also rescinded a qualifying offer to Reggie Williams.)  They did so in order to sign DeAndre Jordan to an offer sheet that the consensus seemed to be that the Clippers would not hesitate to match (which they did).  Plan B ended up being signing Kwame Brown for almost $7 million.

  13.

    Well, at least this happened!

Summer of Dolph is finally here, people!

    Hello? Anyone...?

Dolph totally comes across as a menage-a-trois kind of guy.

I pegged him as more of a guy-guy-girl kind of guy than a guy-girl-girl kind of guy.  Or maybe someone else is pegging him.

  14. I like the idea that the point of Crow Sting is that he is obsessed with seeing justice done and helping the good guys get an even fight when overwhelmed by the numbers of the heels. I wouldn't want to see him very often, but I admit that I do love the idea of Ambrose in the ring about to get jumped yet again by the Authority when Sting shows up, hands Ambrose a bat, and they clean house.

It should be noted that I have an irrational love for Sting, so this might well be a terrible idea that only Sting fans will like.

I'd hold him out for if Daniel Bryan comes back and have him be the guy who ensures DB gets his fair rematch.
