I don't mind PBC and find some of the fights to be really fun (I mean that's not hard when you have boxing on every goddamn channel), but they are swimming in circles. All those dates that guy posted in the Steve Kim retweet along with every date PBC has had for their broadcasts are time buys. They've blown through an incredible amount of money with very little to show for. They've tried to make folks like Keith Thurman, Danny Garcia, Adrien Broner, Shawn Porter, Deontay Wilder, and several others bonafide network TV stars so they can then transition to PPV. However, it just ain't happening for all the reasons I've explained since their inception.
On the UFC thing, everything depends on what the landscape looks like when UFC's contract with Fox ends. They want a ton of money, but it won't matter until whoever is interested can look at the outlook of the company. Being hot in 2016 doesn't mean shit if you're not hot whenever that contract ends. That's why it is important for the UFC to at least keep Fox cards interesting on par with high level Fight Night cards and/or mid-tier PPVs. The Fox shows haven't grown any in terms of ratings, but they have not had any type of steep decline. I think the one thing the current Fox deal has an advantage in is that there isn't programming that could outrank UFC on a couple channels and also you can establish that programming might air on any of those channels. I think the thing with ESPN is that one side might demand more shows on the mothership channel, which could reduce the chances of other shows being picked up if they're not quality and could end up moving a lot more content to Fight Pass. That's why Fight Pass was started in the first place when Fox turned some cards down. ESPN may be way more picky. Moreover, ESPN and ESPN2 might not want to abandon a lot of their programming now (especially the college stuff on Saturdays which goes on for the entire day on both coasts). If you thought some of the times and days for UFC cards on FS1 were funky, wait until they get on ESPN.
I think the UFC is an asset they want to have, but are they willing sacrifice big time college games potentially and major, major advertising money for a hot, niche sport whose only similar competition they destroy in advertising buys is WWE (a company that only says it is a sport when it's advantageous to say that)? It would be crazy long-term.
Kimbo death might play a role in how Viacom react to Bellator. Maybe they will try to get UFC back.
And don't forget the new owners................

Not sure if you're serious or not...
I am actually serious, at first I didn't have any sympathy towards Ariel but now I feel bad for the guy. I am actually worried about his well being.
-
Ariel lost his cool, basically a push over. But I hope Lorenzo let him back in before Ariel does something to himself.
-
Ariel thing will last a few days maybe will disappear by tomorrow once the media stop calling him. UFC will continue business as usual. This is the Conor situation all over again but on a smaller scale.
Now back to Brock vs. Hunt, this should be a fun one.
-
Brock got Ariel canned lol.classic Brock
-
Ufc also has a history of pulling credentials, didn't see Ariel defend those other reporters.
Ariel last tweet make me think he knew he f up a little. Probably bagging Dana now.

Not sure if this goes here or the non event page but Ariel Helwin is reporting that Zuff/UFC kicked him out and took his credentials for 'braking' the Brock news.
Not important news to me. Ariel always had controversy.
As for the Ufc, they don't give a f as you can see with the Conor McGregor situation. They do what they like.

I still think Dillashaw beat Cruz. Cruz didn't look unbeatable.
-
Very lucky Cavs vs raptor didn't go seven games. This show should be the most watched sports show of the night. And the card looks exciting and most people off the next day. Perfect storm

Hey Brad, how about paying TNA some money.
-
This caught my eye about one of the Wanda Group properties on their main website
QuoteI wonder if the other bidders have a sports background?
-
So, what you are saying is that UFC and Bellator can only afford to run in New York?
-
He barely beat an old Anderson Silva. After the fight, Bisping look like he was the one that loss.
-
China winning right now. Might be great news for the fighters because the current regime enforcing the uniform rules not Reebok. Unless I am wrong but I don't think that's in the reebok contract with the UFC.
This is actually an old rumor pick up by ESPN. I am sure Ferttitas always entertain offers throughout the years. Why not
-
Joanna always been like this even during fights.
-
I think Conor actually did Ufc a favor. Now they have a main event for 202 or 203. It's probably for the best Ufc 200 to be headline by a title fight.
Ufc 200 top three fights are for titles and can be real good.
-
Meltzer said Conor and Lorenzo had a big blowup way before the Conor tweet. Dana is literally not involved in the decision.
Meltzer claimed the $400 million is wayyyyy off and more like $100 million.
Now I know why Ufc is not sweating. Especially if somehow they can get Jones vs DC.
-
Ufc might actually benefit from Conor off 200. 200 will do big numbers regardless, maybe not record breaking numbers but I can see 800k-1 million. Add Conor return to any Ufc ppv between 201-204 and you guaranteed another million buys. And then Ufc 205 aka MSG will be another million plus maybe two million if they do Rousey vs Holms.
-
Sucks this is being overshadow by UFC/Conor.
-
Funny how fans bitch about Conor vs. Diaz 2 and now they want it. Now I get why Vince Mcmahon ignores the internet.
-
Find it interesting UFC retweeted Conor.
I don't know now, feels like this is a big work to me.
-
The social media age we live in
-
I noticed they didn't stripped him of the title................
This is a great build up to a ppv lol.

Yeah it was pretty impressive. The walk away made it better.
