I'm pretty sure it's a work. The wwe.com thing says "Rollins re-injured at the hands of Samoa Joe!"...

Totally seems like it could be kayfabe, but if you go back and watch the video at the moment where Joe locks on the Coquina Clutch, it does look like Rollins might have gotten his right knee caught on the mat or something when Joe pulled him down, but the camera isn't focused on it at the right moment to really see.

So now that Seth Rollins is probably off Mania....who does HHH wrestle.  I'd love to see them have him dress down Joe for doing too much damage, and Joe just slaps the shit out of him and we've got a match.  Hopefully he doesn't insert himself in any title matches.

If Joe legit injured Rollins' leg, I think his dressing down at Mania might be coming from the Fashion Police rather than Triple H.

The second Rollins brought HHH's children into it, he lost facedom in my eyes.  Doesn't matter what happens, you don't fuck with a man's family.  Him being a whiny bitch since he turned face isn't helping either.

Omega wrestles a 9-year-old girl and it's cool, but Seth can't threaten someone's kids?! MARKS.

After watching the Joe thing on WWE's Youtube, I have to say I'm unimpressed. The crowd sounded flat and Joe should have probably Muscle Busted him to the depths of Hell before sinking in the Kokina (which didn't look very good either, it just looked like he put on a basic sleeper. And don't run in wearing a Tapout shirt and jeans dammit). Yet, though the clip didn't have Seth talking, I still wanted him taken out just by looking at him, and Aytch came out good when he was talking so it's about even.

Well, it's Laredo, half the people there drink out of a dribble cup.

Although I can't say I like Joe's chances for success on the same show as Vince's pets Reigns and Strowman. I've no doubt he'll be jobbing to both fairly quickly and working some mid-card feud with Enzo and Cass in about six months.

Member the last time Brock held a title hostage?  I member. That sounds ridiculous. Owens reign has been pretty crappy anyway but to lose to a part timer and then have another part timer win at Mania only to either drop the title quickly after or hold it hostage for a few months...   is shit.

Gotta give Lesnar the strap so he can finally put over Reigns and crown him the new Conquerer, pal.

Overall I think this was a good PPV (I didn't catch the pre-show I'll probably watch the matches in a sec). But I was racking my brain about who would come in at 30 then when Roman's music hit I was shocked and not in a good way. And I actually like Roman.

I'm interested to see where Bailey/Charlotte goes since that was a clean victory. But we have another PPV to go.

I don't think it goes anywhere. It was a pretty emphatic win for Charlotte. I don't think Vince is as high on Bayley as the IWC. He probably sees her as the female Eugene.

Only person I can see taking the belt off Charlotte is Nia Jax.

Oh man, I hope not that's not what AJ deserves after the year he's had, but the WWE would think that its a high profile match for AJ but he deserves better than having to try to drag Shane to a good match while having to sell his punches and shit.

Totally agree. Just seems they were planting the seeds for it. AJ loses the belt at RR or Elimination Chamber, blames Shane for booking the match and we're off to WM.

I will say, I think AJ could pull a pretty great match out of him. Could be entertaining since both like to bump around like crazy.

  8. I screamed out "HELL YEAH!" at my desk at work when I got the notification on my phone about Angle being inducted. So, so happy he's returning to the WWE fold. He's in my all-time top 5. What a total package of in-ring ability and incredible character work he was in his prime.

Their personalities were endearing for people who followed their journey in NXT but to a fresh audience, they come off very lame in promos.

That being said, they can overcome it in the ring. Nobody cared about them coming out but the match was strong and by the end of it, they had the crowd. A lot of the credit for that goes to Orton and Wyatt but Alpha looked like they belonged in there with them.

I blame the booking more than anything. They were mired in obscurity for months after the draft, then they lose a #1 contender battle royal, but get placed into the tag title match because of Ryder's injury and randomly get this big conquering win over a Wyatt team that fans weren't really ready to see get conquered yet. It feels a little like too much all at once for a team that was stuck in neutral for so long.

  10. I think Taker-Cena is like Taker-Sting in the sense that people are more excited for the buildup than they would be for the actual match. It would be cool to see them standing in the ring together, cutting promos, and would probably make for some pretty insane hype videos, but then - to quote Bruce Prichard - "that damn bell has to ring..."
