That looks stiff. What's that from?
-
Slater is literally top 5 on the roster, they are idiot if they ever get rid of him. He's had the best under card angles for like 2 years.
-
Check out the matthysse molina fight if you didn't watch it. Awesome fight.

I'd put sting in a one on one with maybe Kane for about 5 min. Other than that tags for sure. Beat him down, have him run in to get the submission. No more than a few matches total.
-
I can see more people ordering for sure. I myself was gonna wait til the next pay per view since I was going to a party where the person already had planned to order it.
-
One of the best manias even. I would have liked to see what win but it was a good match and he looked good. Undertakers loss was probably the most shocking wrestling moment ever. I legit though Orton was winning on that one pin attempt. Awesome show.

Watched the hof on my laptop for a bit then had warriors speech on my phone while I was driving. No issues all night. No issues at all today.
-
No issues with the network for me last night.

I'm not a fan of Kofi at all, but I agree. That MSG beatdown of Orton had him red hot.
Not a fan of his either, but he got me excited to see a new guy pushed for a minute. I think a lot of the problem there was that he was not going to get a high profile mania match against Orton since he was turning face (though I guess that could've been pushed back). He wasn't getting a title shot at early, unless again orton didn't turn face. I guess he could've won Money In The Bank, but that didn't really put anyone over anyway.

Its such a shame that nearly every match is going to be cut short due to all the video packages/hogan/hall of fame... though I like to think they gave us a crummy tag match and put the shield in a kinda crappy match just so i'm not disappointed that they don't go 30min. I mean if The shield vs. Usos was on the card and got 6min we would all be up in arms.

The best thing about that match was the ridiculous belt they made for it.
IIRC, they reused one of Dusty's FCW belts for the night and then scrambled to create their own title belt. Not sure if it passed the test any better than when the WWF had to use a tag belt for the Flair title belt after they got trademark called on them.
You'd think they'd have some spare title belt not currently in use to use for a Flair belt instead of the tag team title belt. Heck, have Ric Flair defeat Virgil and carry around a pixelized Million Dollar title belt for a few months
It was, in fact, the old NWA Western States Heritage Title.
according to wikipedia
It has long been reported that when Ric Flair took the NWA/WCW World Heavyweight Championship "Big Gold Belt" with him when he was fired and eventually went to the World Wrestling Federation, the NWA Western States Heritage Championship belt was used as the WCW World Heavyweight Championship belt for one night at the 1991 Great American Bash; a gold plate with the words "WCW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION" was tacked onto the Western States Title's faceplate. In truth, however, Zbyszko took the title with him to the American Wrestling Association and was even photographed with both the WSH and AWA title belts. The actual belt used at the Great American Bash is now believed to have been the heavyweight championship belt that was used by the Professional Wrestling Federation, Dusty Rhodes' short-lived post-Championship Wrestling from Florida promotion -
It was gimmicked and the plan all along. It was one of the big mid south gimmick matches (dibiase vs Dugan coal miner / tuxedo match was a big deal iirc). Or at least that's what I remember or have heard over the years. I know I was mad/confused when I watched it.
-
so was it brought up yet since Punk quit that he just laid on the mat most of that match? Planned or was he just saying he's done?
-
I went to the show and I'm disappointed. Not gonna write a review now... But Batista flipping off kids in the crowd and doing a mock yes chant in the ramp with his middle fingers was bs. Dude sucks and couldn't get the crowd over. That's his fault.

Shane Douglas popped up as a featured article on the wwe.com superstars page

yea I think the cheapest was 25, and that was a bit much considering I'm really only interested to see Hero, Cole, and that's about it. And the 3 way tag match wasn't much of a draw for him. Did they have tickets at the door or anything? At one point I almost drove down to see if there were any cheap seats available to fill it up for tv, but the snow and laziness kept me away.
I know 4-5 other people that chose not to go due to the rumble the next day.

this looks great
WWF @ Philadelphia, PA - Spectrum - November 18, 1989 (7,325)
WWF Tag Team Champions Demolition defeated Arn Anderson & Haku (sub. for Tully Blanchard) -
I have a ticket, I cannot see Batista winning and if he does I will be disapointed. I really don't care about the other matches much I just want to see the rumble live. This is actually only the 3rd wwf/e event i've ever been to (house show in 91-92, bragging rights in 08). So I hope this kicks ass. I obviously missed the 2 best pittsburgh ppvs (summerslam and king of the ring), I wish my parents had money for tickets back then.
Do they usually run any matches before the youtube pre-show match? It looks like that starts at 7:30, trying to time out beer intake before the show.
-
I'm glad the roh show did well last night. I would've gone if I had money (setting aside money for the rumble tonight) and if I had a little more interest in some of the guys they have currently. Hopefully this means they come back to the same place, it was only about 2 miles from my house.
-
batista vs. lesner sounds terrible.
Only 5 spots left sucks. I'm going and I want to see Bryan and a bunch of surprise dudes.
-
yea i'm going to be at the event, not sure I want to see him maybe die either... also I forgot that WWE wouldn't want him to do a return match after his sendoff at mania.
and to add what I said earlier.
Jericho is advertised for the "world of wheels" Saturday 12-3. I imagine he's a lock to show up for the rumble. Not much of a huge surprise, hopefully it will be a better run than last year if he sticks around through mania.
-
would the wwe let Flair do a 2min rumble spot?
-
oh, thought Angle was done with TNA for some reason.
I really cannot see Batista winning
-
possible surprises I've considered
Jake Roberts - not sure if he could actually go over the ropes.
Scott Hall
DDP
Jericho - he's advertised to appear in pittsburgh the night before with big show at some bar
Kurt Angle - hometown dude
Jeff Hardy - ? is he done with tna too?
Morrison
MVP
Dean Douglas - pittsburgh dude (not happening)
Mankind/DudeLove/Cactus Jack
Sting - I doubt they would do this without hyping it in advance
Sheamus - obviously
