  1. Rembert Browne headed to New York Magazine.

Looking at his recent contributions: A history of Hpnotiq malt liquor, "pivotal" scens from a Jamie Foxx CGI film, a story on some boy band called Big Bang, etc...and then I remember the very first time I heard of Browne, when he left his apartment to do a road trip acros America to discuss race and he wasted his first installment musing on how upset he was to throw out a FatHead he had on his apartment wall, and all I can say is good riddance.

Hopefully, his editors at New York Magazine will be willing to say "no" to some of his more idiotic story ideas.

Actually, I'd like to see both him and Andy Greenwald end up with assignments where they regularly have to watch CBS "geezer" dramas like NCIS: Los Angeles and Blue Bloods.

  2. Peyton Manning with his first interception of the day, and only the second one the Browns have made all year.  (The first was against the Jets and ended up being fumbled back to the Jets.)

  3. . But he must be doing something right, as month after month his action figures are the best or second-best sellers. People dig him; might be time for a face turn.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the USA Network executives, the guys who pay millions of dollars to the WWE to provide highly rated content, don't give a flying fuck about action figure sales.

They're more concerned with the sinking ratings over the last three months.

  4. Made the decision today to switch from a Sig Sauer P220 (railed version, black polymer grips) to a Colt 1991 Government Model (blued, factory rosewood grips, Smith & Alexander short trigger, Novak White Dot front sight, Novak Tritium Ghost rear sight) for my every day carry weapon.

The P220 is a great gun, but the trigger has a nasty habit of biting the pad of my finger when I squeeze the trigger.

  5.

Never really bought Seth as a main eventer.  Before the heel turn, given his slim build and greasy hair/beard, I always viewed him as a guy who was destined to spend a few years as a comedy geek with Sandow, Torito, and Heath Slater before being future endeavored.

The "motion capture suit" tights haven't helped since the heel turn.

When they put the belt on him, I just assumed it would be for one month or so to build up to Brock killing him dead with a dozen F5's face first into a chair before the mercy pin and reclaiming the title.

It's not his fault that MNF and awful booking have led to low ratings, but Seth certainly hasn't been part of the solution.  They really need to end this experiment and get the belt off of him ASAP.  Have Brock beat Sheamus in a match for the MITB briefcase and then immediately cash it in and claim the title back.

    --------------

To the other argument, Seth is a chickenshit heel champ.  He's supposed to look as weak as possible, get his ass kicked, and then pull the tights for the cheap pin before running back to the locker room.

Where were all these complaints 13 years ago when Xavier was ROH Champ?

The real question though, is has Seth's title reign been better than Firefly?

You could put the WWE title on the rotting corpse of Buddy Rogers and it would be better than Firefly.

  7. Cowboys also looking at naming Christine "Christian" Michael as starting RB.  Michael was generally viewed as being lazy and incompetent, with an undeserved sense of entitlement, by Seahawks beat writers.  He had serious fumbling problems due to his insistence on holding the ball in the wrong hand and also frequently ran the wrong routes.

Main event was an ungodly clusterfuck and of course, Seth lost to Kane even with a billion people helping him.

Seth is a chickenshit heel champ, he's supposed to lose non-title matches

Chickenshit heel losing tons of non-title matches can be okay for an IC-Level guy - not the World champ. Jesus, even Honky Tonk did fewer pinfall jobs and he was the IC Champ.

Ric Flair did dozens, if not hundreds, of jobs in tag matches and non-title matches during his time as the "touring champion" from 1983-1986.

Please try to remember you're watching a "sports entertainment" promotion marketed primarily towards kids, not mid-90's All Japan Pro Wrestling or Ring of Honor.

The 9-year old kids who go to WWE house shows don't care about the "integrity" of the WWE World Champion.  They just wanna see Cena or Reigns beat Seth Rollins and humiliate him.

  9. Over the years I've read several articles where they talked about the Steiners vs. Tatsumi Fujinami/Takayuki Iizuka match from Wrestle War 92 and they say that Iizuka was "never the same" after the match.

What are people talking about in regards to that match?  Did Iizuka suffer a neck injury or brain damage from the top-rope belly to belly suplex that Rick gave him at the finish?

  10.

Also, Spurrier will be retiring. I'll miss the ol' ball coach.  One of the best ever.

Never a Gators fan, but I was a huge mark for Spurrier himself.  Really wish he had won another National title or two as a "fuck you" to that redneck dipshit Bobby Bowden and his supporters.
