I want the main event of All Out to be a 30 minute wrestling clinic with Mox defending against Colt Cabana, where Canaba hits the GTS at the end, only for Mox to kick out and come back for the win.

They namedropped Ace Steele on Dynamite. So clearly, after an injured Punk is about to fail against Moxley once again, CABANA interferes for the win, and BOOM

One, you missed a boom.

Two, there isn't enough drawing potential there to overcome the friction.

That's the deal with shoots becoming works. It only makes sense if there's enough drawing potential to overcome the animosity. Money can overcome anything, but there needs to be enough of it on the table. There should be an equation for this.

For our Chicago area friends who may want to go but didn’t want the combo tickets, they just converted the combos to single tickets and there are a few hundred left. Hurry though.

edit: made it a new post.

AEW All Out 2022 card right now:

AEW World Trios Championship Final.

AEW World Tag Team Championship: Swerve in our Glory (c) vs. The Acclaimed.

Interim AEW Women's World Championship: Dr. Britt Baker vs. Hikaru Shida vs. Toni Storm vs. Jamie Hayter.

Bryan Danielson vs. Chris Jericho.

#FTR/Wardlow vs. Motor City Machine Guns/Jay Lethal.

Christian Cage vs. Jungle Boy.

Ricky Starks vs. Powerhouse Hobbs.

Casino Ladder Match.

---

Notable absentees in: Jon Moxley, CM Punk, Sting, Miro, Darby Allin, Claudio Castagnoli, House of Black dependant on what happens in the AEW World Trios Championship Final, same for Best Friends and the Dark Order, same applies to Adam Page, Eddie Kingston, PAC, Rey Fenix, Pentagon, Adam Cole and MJF. I can see some in the Casino Ladder Match.

New addition on AEW Rampage:

Spoiler

TBS Championship: Jade Cargill vs. Athena.

I'm interested in:

  • Bryan Danielson vs. Chris Jericho
  • Interim AEW Women's World Championship.
  • Jade Cargill defending the TBS Championship vs. Athena.
  • Christian Cage vs. Jungle Boy.
  • Ricky Starks vs. Powerhouse Hobbs.

I'm not interested in:

  • AEW World Tag Team Championship: Swerve in our Glory (c) vs. The Acclaimed.
  • Casino Ladder Match.

I'm torn about:

  • AEW World Trios Championship Final. Not as keen on the Kenny Omega/Young Bucks Elite tandem and House of Black should be in the Final.
  • #FTR/Wardlow vs. Motor City Machine Guns/Jay Lethal. Getting to see #FTR vs. MCMG is good but I've never liked Jay Lethal and this show should be #FTR vs. Young Bucks III for all the tag gold or #FTR vs. Swerve in our Glory.

Change Colt to Matt Classic and I'm sold

Are Cole, Fish, and O'Riley all injured? It seems like they should be interfering in one of the trios matches or at least making their presence known as contenders at some point.

Cole and KOR are, yeah. Fish is fine and keeping himself busy by milking dry his one good joke about shitty CM Punk kicks.

Wow so almost 24 hours after the tickets were put out only a bit more than 100 were sold. Still over 700 left for a ppv in a way smaller building than the standard nba/nhl arena. I felt that double or nothing wasn’t the strongest card and neither is this, even though forbidden door was great. Throwing in new japan, roh, and an overloaded roster all at once and clearly not having long term planning, which they’ve always had in the past, has really led to a cooling off for the company. Crazy to think of the peak one year ago to now. They were firing on all cylinders a year ago. Maybe adding all this wwe talent has taken some of the unique identity of aew away.

They're keeping O'Reilly off tv because his insistence on cupping to speed up his recovery has rendered him into a basically unrecognizable polka dot man

In all seriousness, the guy looked ludicrous coming on national television with those cupping marks. Absolutely ludicrous. He should be kept off until that’s addressed (whether he needs a shirt or whatever they do to address it)

I’d like to understand this so help me out. Tickets were released 24 hours ago? Only 700 tickets for the event? This can’t be right. Please can you clarify exactly what you mean in terms of venue capacity & supposed sales to date?

The venue capacity is around 10k. They are running three nights that week: live dynamite on Wednesday, live rampage on Friday, and the ppv Sunday. They knew the first two shows would have less demand so they tied up 3k or so ppv tickets to be sold as a combo package for all three shows. Those didn’t sell so well, so just yesterday they finally broke up the combo tickets and offered just the individual remaining ppv tickets for sale. I assumed they’d fly off the shelf, but the demand isn’t there. I’d say that’s on aew because they’ve had no problem creating demand before these last six months.

I think what he's saying is that 24 hours ago they changed the option from you having to buy a combo pack (Dynamite, Rampage, and All Out) to just being able to buy an All Out ticket. 800 tickets were remaining when they changed it to just a single ticket buying option, and when they did that they only sold 100 more tickets.

Now this is just my interpretation, but matt is saying that this doesn't look good for AEW because this isn't even a full NBA or NHL arena they're trying to sell out. It's smaller, which should in turn make it easier.

Edit - Damn, we posted at the same time. I should've just kept my mouth shut -_-

There were about 800-ish tickets left for All Out, but they were combo Dynamite/PPV tickets. Yesterday, those tickets were made single event tickets in hopes of moving the remainder. Which they most assuredly will, between a main event being announced and the walk-up crowd.

EDIT: I see we’re all on top of this, first thing on a Sunday morning. Great job, DVDVR.

Lol.

I love wrestling. I love aew. I want wrestling to thrive but aew is definitely on a cooling off period I think is due to the over abundance of everything they are doing without a clear strong direction. I bet things will get better but momentum and perception are hard to change.

Thanks all. I wouldn’t take much from that .. 10k attendance is still an OK number. It can’t be underestimated the financial strain on the public at the moment (there are some ridiculous stats out there, like credit card usage month-on-month increases being the highest in 25 years). There is going to be an impact on event attendances, there has to be. Tickets will go but not as easily as in 2021 when everyone was flush with cash.

I’d also be less concerned about “momentum being lost” now .. in reality momentum was lost 6-9 months ago, it’s just dwindled bit-by-bit until it’s become a noticeable public issue. More important is that they get the big picture booking back on track .. the PPV will tell a lot about that. Less easily addressable is that they have way, way, way too many titles. It’s really bad and I don’t know what they do about that readily.
