The Natural Posted July 30, 2022 Posted July 30, 2022 Julianna Pena vs. Amanda Nunes rematch is the fight I most want to see. Last time out was one of the biggest, top five if not top two MMA upsets ever. Repeat or revenge? Looking forward to Moreno/France 2 also.
twiztor Posted July 30, 2022 Posted July 30, 2022 damn, Negumereanu ate that dude's lunch. did not see this fight ending like that!
Elsalvajeloco Posted July 30, 2022 Author Posted July 30, 2022 Getting hit with no mouthpiece doesn't look too pleasant especially if someone is hitting you with knees and uppercuts.
twiztor Posted July 31, 2022 Posted July 31, 2022 Dober/Alves is easily FOTN so far. Dober's record doesn't really reflect this, but he's so good at finding a way to win a fight. 1
The Natural Posted July 31, 2022 Posted July 31, 2022 (edited) Pena knocked down four times, three in round two. Despite that, we're in the fourth. Edited July 31, 2022 by The Natural
The Natural Posted July 31, 2022 Posted July 31, 2022 (edited) Pena going for submissions from the bottom. Pena is so tough to still be in this. Pena is a bloody mess. Edited July 31, 2022 by The Natural
twiztor Posted July 31, 2022 Posted July 31, 2022 damn good fight. i have it Nunes 5-0 despite it being a solid matchup. i enjoyed every second of this fight.
Elsalvajeloco Posted July 31, 2022 Author Posted July 31, 2022 That was a very strong rebound performance for Amanda Nunes. As opposed to the first fight, Amanda didn't let Julianna just dominate and get inside on her. Julianna was just too reliant on running straight at Amanda. You're going to get timed with hooks whenever you decide to run in. Now I'm too sure why Amanda decided to just lay her arms on the mat once the fight did hit the ground, but I guess it did up the entertainment/possible Hail Mary value significantly. I mean Julianna had solid control of Amanda's left arm like 5 or 6 times (including that one close armbar). I'm not sure why you would continue to do it over again and play with fire. However, Nunes managed to avoid disaster and control the backend of the fight. 1
