RIPPA
We are months away from the draft and weeks away from knowing the full order but I am starting the thread because there is draft related news https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/32998827/nfl-teams-lose-draft-pick-face-fines-unprofessional-conduct-draft-prospect-interviews Quote The NFL has issued a warning to teams that they could lose a draft pick and face significant fines if club representatives conduct themselves unprofessionally in interviews with draft prospects. In a memo obtained by ESPN that was sent to clubs Wednesday, the league said a team would forfeit a draft pick between the first and fourth rounds and be fined a minimum of $150,000 if it's determined a club representative displayed conduct that is "disrespectful, inappropriate, or unprofessional" during an interview. Fines and/or suspensions of individual club employees also could be imposed, according to the memo. Basically teams can't keep asking players about their sexuality or if their mother is a prostitute
RIPPA
Also in that story - the NFL made changes to the combine They have finally eliminated the Wonderlic and tweaked drills to be more benefiting of a players position Quote The league also plans to eliminate the Wonderlic test for prospective players, and it is revising some of its scouting combine drills to better simulate game-related movement. Wide receivers and tight ends will run crossing routes instead of wheel routes, and running backs will run option routes instead of corner and post-corner routes. Some drills for offensive linemen and defensive players also were revised to better assess in-game player movements.

RIPPA
A recap of some of the things that have happened over the years Quote Over the past several years, there have been occasional reports of inappropriate questions being asked of draft prospects. In 2010, then-Miami Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland apologized to Dallas Cowboys first-round draft pick Dez Bryant for asking during a pre-draft visit whether his mother was a prostitute. In 2016, then-Atlanta Falcons coach Dan Quinn apologized to Eli Apple because one of his coaches asked the cornerback his sexual preference. In 2018, former LSU running back Derrius Guice said one team at the combine asked about his sexuality and another inquired if his mother was a prostitute. Former NFL tight end Benjamin Watson, who played 16 seasons between 2004 and 2020, compared the interview process to an interrogation. "I can remember sitting in a dark room with a huge spotlight," Watson told the AP last year. "There's a seat there like you're being interrogated for a crime and all the front-office staff is in the back in the shadows and you can't see them. The guy grabbed my wrist and he's like: 'I can feel your pulse, so I know if you're lying to me. Have you ever smoked marijuana?' I said: 'No.' I really hadn't. I've never smoked. He said: 'I think you're lying. I can feel your pulse. Are you lying to us?' I said: 'No, I'm not.' "So for a minute, I thought I actually did smoke marijuana, and maybe I need to confess to a crime that I didn't commit. But these sorts of tactics that are happening at the combine and that are not being monitored definitely need to be done away with."
Brian Fowler
Unsurprisingly, Michigan's pass rushers both have declared for the draft. Hutchinson was a senior but could have called 2020 a redshirt season but why would he? Ojabo was a junior, but he's projected as a first or at worst high second round pick, as risking either injury or just a down year when he doesn't have Hutchinson taking so much of the attention of the blocking scheme seems much bigger than the odds he could improve his stock much.

Yeah, that's about as no-brainer as the decisions come.

RIPPA
If they don't win their playoff game - the Eagles pick 19th, so they have the potential to pick 3 times within 5 picks which I don't think has ever happened (of course it probably has)

They picked at 12, 13, and 18 (and then again at 27). The Vikings had picks at 23, 25, and 29 back in 2013, too.
Gonzo
The picks have been updated through the Wild Card round. All those picks have been determined thus far except #23, which will go to the loser of tonight's playoff game (and, in the case of the Rams, which pick they'll be giving to Detroit). StuntmanCrowley
I'd be happy if the Eagles ended up with those three picks from Kipers mock, though other mocks have them taking Jamison Williams over Chris Olave.

dogwelder
Yeah, even with how bad this QB class is supposedly, I have a hard time believing that none of them will be picked before the WFT pick at #11. Kevin Wilson
You'd have to go back to 2013 for the last time a QB wasn't drafted in the first ten picks (Manuel to Buffalo at 16... it didn't work out). 2013 actively sucked for QBs, not a single one that made it in the league as a starter past a few years. Although a handful hung around as backups (Mike Glennon!). Wonder if 2022 will be the same. Teams are so QB happy I just can't see a team in the Top 10 resisting.

Brian Fowler
Somebody is going to talk themselves into Pickett or Corral in the top ten. Of the final 8 teams in the playoffs, you have Burrow on the rookie scale, Allen and Mahomes who both already got huge contract extensions, and then 5 veterans. For the full playoffs, you add Mac Jones, Kyler Murray, and Jalen Hurts on the rookie scale.
