Usman is probably confident in his stand up.  He was also getting touched by Mazvidal before he put Jorge to sleep.

Colby may have gotten into Usman's head a little as well and Usman may foolishly be hunting for a KO when he should be thinking about retaining his belt.

Wow.  Kamaru retains by UD.  They did not give Colby the benefit of the doubt for R3 I guess.  I am totally happy that Kamaru won, but I would have thought that at least one judge might've seen it Covington's way.

Not that I wanted that to happen.

i had it 49-46 Usman, but 48-47 was still perfectly acceptable. Colby got started slow, and while he came back, he was never close to a finish. Absolutely no complaints. Love Dan Mirgliota shutting down the love fest after the final bell.

Colby, GO BACK TO THE PRELIMS!  i appreciate your skills (the fight vs. Robbie Lawler was an absolute showcase!) but it'll be a long ass time before you get another title shot.

No judge gave Usman a 10-8 in R2? Or a judge actually agreed w/ my Shooto judging instincts and scored R5 10-10? These are the same judges that didn't give Gaethje 10-8 R2. Whatever. It's New York. Enjoy the Franklin Zone, Colby, fight Jorge I guess.
