All Out III - 9/5/2021

The idea someone had above of 2.0 and Garcia walking to ringside, and Darby/Punk beating them up then continuing the match like nothing happened is perfect. Mid card goofs and a young, serious wrestler trying to ruin main event matches is a brilliant, brilliant thing.

I used an Australian VPN and got the show on Fite for $19.99 because budgets are tight around here but I don't want to miss this! Too tempted to fantasy book, I really wanted to let go and let the show play out and surprise me. Can't fucking wait.

What's a VPN? I'm useless when it comes to IT, PCs, mobiles and technology. Only joined Netflix in 2017. Having said that, I'm a legitimate touch typist which my late, great Mum taught me. My Mum was a secretary.

A virtual private network, basically makes it seem like your computer is in another part of the world getting internet in that region. I don't know all the technical aspects of it, but I really only ever use it for AEW shows.

Punk mentioned on Oral Sessions that the cage is like a skyscraper and he told the Lucha Bros to be careful, to which they said they'd "try."

Cannot emphasis enough how worried I am for those teams.

I'm getting uneasy vibes from their Ladder match at All Out two years, wanting to steal the show here and Tetsuya Naito vs. Kota Ibushi going too far at Dominion 2019.

So if TK is bringing the spirit of WCW Worldwide to Dark then I'm bringing the spirit of a Nitro Party to this.  Though instead of drunk frat people it'll instead be drunk folks approaching 40.  Shit, I even got paper plates, cups and napkins in AEW colors because yes I'm a dork.

The tl;dr of it is this:  Show anticipation is strongly increasing! Can't wait!

With the Skye Blue addition, I guess that means they are going over the traditional 21 number of participants for the Casino battle royals

Turns out they are sticking with 21, as they had Nyla & Jade injure Julia Hart on Dark to remove her from the match, which opened the spot for Skye.

I have done this in the past and tried again for All Out (money is tight, wanted to pay something and not watch for free), but my VPN wouldn't work. Do you mind if I ask which VPN you are using?

NordVPN has a 7-day free trial right now, and I used that ?

So in the last few weeks, they've done like three shows in Chicago, and have another one tonight. Was Colt Cabana on any of those shows?

For the First Dance anyway, he was in Ohio at the Gathering of the Juggalos.

But, he was at Rampage on Friday - he taped a match teaming with Stu Grayson versus Rickey Shane Page & Travis Titan. It airs on the 7th.

Can't wait for the show. I bought the last two AEW ppvs and felt I got my money's worth, they've been knocking it out of the park. I might try ordering on Fite this time. B/R hasn't given me issues but now that the app is changed I'm worried my feed will get effed up.

I think the demand for this will be the biggest AEW will experience to date. Hope it all holds up.

Predictions:

Kenny Omega retains the AEW World Championship.

Dr. Britt Baker defends the AEW Women's Championship.

Miro defends the TNT Championship. This was the toughest match to call as I can see Eddie Kingston winning as well.

Lucha Bros become the new AEW World Tag Team Champions.

Ruby Soho or Thunder Rosa win the Casino Battle Royale. I'll go with Soho. Wouldn't be surprised if Tay Conti wins either.

Chris Jericho. This was also a tough match to predict.

CM Punk beats Darby Allin in Punk's first match back in 7 years.

Paul Wight.

Jon Moxley.

Orange Cassidy/Chuck Taylor /Wheeler Yuta /Jurassic Express.

Agree with most of those. The ones I will go the other way on is Eddie defeating Miro for the TNT title, and Young Bucks retaining the tag title (with Santana and Ortiz winning titles at Dynamite: Grand Slam). If the battle royal was a few months later, I would strongly consider Jamie Hayter winning, as I think that she turns on Britt and challenges for the title at some point (assuming that Britt has a long run with the title).

Cheers. Miro vs. Eddie Kingston and Young Bucks/Lucha Bros are the toughest to call. I can see those going the way you chose.

Ws for Omega, Baker, Miro, Jericho, Moxley, and sonofabitch Paul Wight.  Less certain that the Bucks and Punker take the duke and lion's share of the money.

I have no idea who wins the Casino, but I'm hoping the winner is a heel.  Superover Superpower Dr. Baker is currently making the babyfaces look silly out there.  I like that they haven't changed her mean girl persona but they'd be smart to start matching her up with heels and stop weakening the babies.
