Honestly, the social media “controversy” probably made that ad spot worth more than whatever they paid for it.

Has there ever been a picture in picture that worked to get the audience to focus on the ad and the program at the same time before this incident? I’m talking throughout the TV landscape.

While nobody is willing to take it this far again, the fact is advertisers should take inspiration from trying to make picture in picture fit naturally into the narrative of a program. It’s hard for live sports to do that because of its unscripted nature, but pro wrestling is perfect for this type of marketing.

You shut your goddamned mouth before we get a masked wrestler called "The Quencher" who beats his opponents with the Gatorade Driver while a commercial loops on the entryway screens.

Baron Corbin is desperate for money starts asking for cash baskstage, we go to picture-in-picture, and we have a LoanDepot ad pop-up. Hangman Page enters into an arena with a horse go to commercial, and a bud ad with the Clydesdale horses pops up. Wrestler hurts his back JR: “He’ll need something for that. Let’s go to commercial. Stay tuned…” ad for Icy Hot pops up. Why ain’t I in advertising!?!?  Instead it’s just random BK ads after a heel takes advantage.

While the end of the elimination tag was where the show peaked in ratings, the main event saw a big increase. People certainly weren't tuning out. Fuck Domino's.

I'm sending you and LoneWolf to the island from The Prisoner to protect the world from your dangerous ideas.

Depending on if you believe Meltzer is a credible source of information - in the latest Observer, he strongly implies that WWE played a part in Dominos finding out about the Nick Gage thing.

Yeah, I think it's pretty obvious that the only reason they even know about this, outside of possible WWE fuckery, is that it created a lot of buzz online due to the synchronicity of Gage using a pizza cutter at the same time as the Dominos ad. If it was an ad for any other sponsor, nobody would even care. It was more "graphic" than last week's Texas Deathmatch, sure, but it's not like these sponsors don't know what they're buying into with ad time on an AEW show. This isn't WWE with John Cena, every other week someone is bleeding or Shawn Spears is throwing actual chairshots to the head or "foul language" etc.

What movie was on TNT before/after Dynamite this week? Did it feature violence, at all?

? ... It was Law Abiding Citizen starring Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler.

LOL c'mon. Even if some Cornette dickriders and WWE were making calls to advertisers, even if they did, it's still not their fault. It was a nationally televised cable program. It was tweeted about all over social media. It was hardly some underground secret fight club here.

Told you the other week it was Hellboy and they didn't just have an uncensored 'fuck' but a full-on decapitation and dismemberment in the first five minutes. TNT is blase about this stuff, and if it's bringing the ratings, they're keeping it.

And then, on top of it, they aired Hellboy.

LOL.

?‍♂️ I never saw either of them. Bad, bad?

Hellboy (2004) is very good.

Hellboy II: The Golden Army (2008) is great.

Hellboy (2019), the reboot really sucks.

I'm still pissed we never got Hellboy III completing the trilogy with Ron Perlman, Selma Blair, Doug Jones directed by Guillermo del Toro.

Also Mox is off the card in LA now

Mox is facing the Good Brothers with a mystery partner (who isn't Shota Umino, who has been pulled off the card).
