5 Years Ago Today....... The Final Deletion aired on Impact.

Brother Nero.. I knew you'd come!

Whenever I think of "to the dilapidated boat" I pop myself giggling for at least 20 minutes and yep.... that's where I'm at now.

Matt's delivery on the Brother Nero line was fucking priceless too

I fucking love The Final Deletion. Gave it the full *****. I was crying with laughter while watching it. You've both mentioned two of my favourite lines. The other:

Matt Hardy: "Brother Nerooo. It's ovah...Oh, shit!!!"

Jeff Hardy: "Damn right oh shit!" as Jeff Hardy launched rockets at a running Matt Hardy.

---

I'm going to watch it again!

My God, the 80s/early to mid 90s were such a simpler time.  A time where, even if you've never been within 500 miles of California, you could get some Sun-In and some sunglasses and call yourself "Hollywood" and get instant heat.

I owned a copy of this program that I bought at the Baltimore stop on the tour.

Quote

JCP @ Baltimore, MD - Arena - July 12, 1987 (13,500)
Misty Blue defeated Kat Leroux
Terry Gordy defeated Thunderfoot #1
Rick Steiner defeated Sting
Jimmy Garvin defeated Manny Fernandez via disqualification
NWA US Tag Team Champions Bobby Eaton & Stan Lane defeated Michael Hayes & Buddy Roberts
Barry Windham defeated Big Bubba
Ron Garvin defeated NWA US Tag Team Champion Bobby Eaton (sub. for an injured Jim Cornette); Cornette came out to the ring on crutches before the bout
UWF World Champion Steve Williams defeated Dick Murdoch
Nikita Koloff & the Road Warriors defeated NWA World Champion Ric Flair, NWA US Champion Lex Luger, & Arn Anderson in an elimination match
Dusty Rhodes defeated NWA TV Champion Tully Blanchard in a non-title barbed wire match

I mentioned it here before, but that main event involved the carniest shit my then 12 year old self had experienced to date.  The show ran really long and they announced before the main that we had nothing to worry about, because the arena had WAIVED THE CURFEW and we would get our main event!!!  So Tully and Dusty get to the ring, bell rings, Tully goes for a shot with a weight belt, Dusty ducks, hits the bionic elbow, 1-2-3.  Looking back, it's pretty obvious building management didn't extend shit and told them to GTFO as quickly as possible.

To paraphrase Terry Funk, "Kevin Dunn is a jackass. He's a lover of cheapness."
