That's a win-win for school and conference: Belmont take a big step up in their conference opponents, while the Valley picks up a quality school and breaks into a new major market with Nashville (their return to the Mid-South for the first time since the halcyon days of Memphis and Louisville as members). The OVC continues to slowly bleed member institutions as Austin Peay recently left for the ASUN. I wouldn't be surprised if the Valley try to add Murray State next, which would give them an even dozen schools and put another nail in OVC's coffin. The invite was because of football but they decided to join for all sports.
