Lot of longest matches records set in NJPW this year: Longest Wrestle Kingdom match ever, longest NEVER Championship match, longest IWGP World Heavyweight Championship match, longest IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship match ever and now longest BOTSJ Finals as well. Less is more.

For some reason this annoys me from a kayfabe standpoint of all things.

AJPW will renew their ring mat next year, but the current ring mat will still be used for next years Triple Crown match so they can use it to bleed on it.

Kobayashi wanted to join AJPW years ago but was turned away by Fuchi for being too small. Abby Jr aims to surpass his master Abdullah by winning the Triple Crown, Abdullah the Butcher only won both the United National and PWF belts.

Onita declared Abdullah Jr must win the Triple Crown, Onita also called out Suwama.  We will see what happens next, maybe FMW-E vs AJP or just Onita and some goons.

Moving on, the only stuff of note left for what's left of this year in Japan are Stardom's big show and finding out who NJPW booked for Shibata to face in what kind of match.

Anyways.. the first 70 years of Puroresu or Pro-Wres in Japan are finished, next year begins the next 70 years.

Cheers, @lostinube. Appreciate it. Wasn't sure if it was real or photoshop as I've never seen Mitsuharu Misawa do that and wear wrist bands.

The rules from Tokyo Sports for this year's last KOPW match this month

" the rules of the match were decided to be the "year-end party match whiskey course" proposed by Kanemaru. Every two minutes from the start of the game, one shot of whiskey is drunk with each other, and in addition to the usual professional wrestling rule, if you can not drink it within 20 seconds, it is a unique match between drinkers who will be eliminated."

The big 50th AJPW show Is still on for this year, it most likely will be only AJP promoted and not a joint show. Remains to be seen if they stick with having multiple fighters/players/wrestlers from othe promotions in special matches.

Okada's new book will be released on Dec 25th. Contains his Toryumon days and discussion about Inoki and fighting and what he learned from Tenryu and more.

Interesting description from some website "Okada, a hybrid professional wrestler who crosses strong style with splendid entertainment, is about to build a new era of professional wrestling."
