Curt McGirt Posted August 13 Posted August 13 "How can I present this with any class?" and I immediately just laughed and said out loud "You can't!"

(BP) Posted August 13 Posted August 13 Nothing against Liam Neeson, but if Sheen had stayed out of his own way he’d have been the perfect Frank Drebin Jr. 2

hammerva Posted August 22 Author Posted August 22 I saw a Netflix documentary about the Jussie Smollett case with Jussie side of the story and I figured that it was usual Netflix documentary where the truth is dependent on how who is talking about it. And that is kind of the case here. Jussie main argument is that he couldn't tell the whole side of the story because he was dealing with some shit as well. The $3500 that was given to the brothers who beat up Jussie was actually because one of them was a trainer who was supplying him steroids. It seems like the reason they claim Jussie is telling the truth is because of how incredible corrupt the Chicago police were in covering up things and racism (which is kind of true) and that the brothers who took part of that were coerced because one of them was a felon and was found to have a shit load of guns during a raid. They show a video of the area during the attack and it kind of looks like one of the two people out at night during that time was white. But again not completely obvious. Pretty much everyone that is on the side of "he absolutely lied about it" comes off as shady as fuck. I don't think it will change anyone's opinion though I saw there was a documentary on Devo. Might catch that one tomorrow
Curt McGirt Posted August 27 Posted August 27 THEATRE OF HORRORS: THE SORDID STORY OF PARIS’ GRAND GUIGNOL https://vimeo.com/1110616391/f6fd502af3?ts=145228&share=copy https://severinfilms.com/blogs/news/theatre-of-horrors-the-sordid-story-of-paris-grand-guignol-to-receive-world-premiere-at-l-etrange-festival Man, this is gonna be awesome. Also, I'm on the fence about that trailer being NSFW, but the screams are pretty disturbing over anything else... 1

hammerva Posted September 9 Author Posted September 9 The Netflix documentary on the 20th anniversary is pretty good but frankly if you can find the HBO versions then it is much better and it better detail. Even has most of the same people what were in the original Spike Lee documentary. The main thing I get watching all of this Katrina documentaries is the horrible and disgusting feeling knowing that as bad as the 2005 government handling of this it would be dozens and dozens times worse if it happened in 2025. The one general who pretty much controlled the situation wouldn't given be allowed a job much less dealing with a tragedy
zendragon Posted September 18 Posted September 18 Is that the first tie Amiee has done an on camera appearance?
RIPPA Posted October 1 Posted October 1 The American Revolution Ken Burns is involved.... let that effect your decision making
Curt McGirt Posted October 7 Posted October 7 The Librarians The Alabama Solution These are both gonna fuck you up pretty bad.
RIPPA Posted October 7 Posted October 7 Love+War Both because of the subject matter and because of the directors (the folks who did Free Solo) - I would be absolutely shocked if this isn't nominated for an Academy Award (the only reason I could see for it not to be is because of weird deadline rules) Technically NSFW due to some of the imagery in the trailer
hammerva Posted October 10 Author Posted October 10 Speaking of documentaries that you will probably fuck you up bad and piss you off 1
Curt McGirt Posted October 10 Posted October 10 Can't you just hear Louie Armstrong singing "What A Wonderful World"?
