I've taken the liberty of updating Picks 19 through 24 even though there's still three quarters remaining in this final Wild Card Game because I can't imagine that the Steelers are going to stop shitting themselves at any point this evening.

I could go back and edit the previous post to make it look like I might not have jinxed the Browns, but I'll leave it.

But I'll edit this post to say that I didn't jinx the Browns after all and all the picks through #24 are officially set.

Since all of those interviews should be recorded, I'm going to guess there are going to be a lot of Assistant GM's that are going to re-do their questionnaires.

Maybe they did this last year - who knows but ESPN is having a SportsCenter Special dedicated entirely to Mel Kiper revealing his first mock draft for this year

I guess content is content

That almost feels like an initial rough draft just to spur conversation and get the ball rolling, there are a lot of odd picks on that list. The chances of the Bills drafting a RB in the 1st when they have major needs on the OL, DE, and possibly LB if Milano isn't re-signed is virtually nil, unless they are in pure BPA mode which is doubtful.

LOL.  He's got Detroit trading down and then not taking a quarterback?

I really wish I could see the actual trades because I am trying to figure out how he has NE jumping up to #9

EDIT - HA! Even Better

Apparently Mel doesn't make actual trades he just kinda goes "eh.... give them some picks" Example

Kiper believes New England would have to trade “at least” their No. 15 pick this year, a 2021 second-round pick and a pick in 2022. He even suggested the Patriots might have to include their 2022 first-round pick.

Oh and to answer @Tabe's question - it appears Kiper believes that the Lions don't need a QB this year (or at least one in the first couple of rounds) because of Jared Goff.

I will just say that he isn't the only draft guy I have seen that from recently

Well, the idea is to draft a rookie QB a year before you need him so he can sit back and learn stuff before you throw him to the wolves.  I sorta get the idea of waiting to see if Goff pans out and drafting other areas this year, just don't see it happening.

The NFL has informed teams that they are allowed to operate out of draft war rooms again (now standard measures in place (masks, social distancing)

No word on if the draft will be in person yet or not

A select number of prospects will take the stage in Cleveland while fans, media, NFL Network, ESPN and ABC crews will also be on-site as the league welcomes the new rookie class. Building on the success of last year's virtual Draft, additional prospects will also participate in Draft festivities remotely from their homes around the country.

Club personnel involved in the selection process will be permitted to gather in a Draft Room at a location of their choosing, whether that be their facility or elsewhere while following appropriate protocols.

Set against the backdrop of Lake Erie, the NFL Draft Main Stage will serve as the central hub for Draft activities, including where pick announcements will be made by Commissioner Goodell and other special guests. In addition to picks being made in Cleveland, the NFL and clubs will partner to make selections from across the country on Day 3. The Draft Theatre will act as the viewing zone for the Main Stage and will seat invited guests, including individuals selected for the exclusive "Inner Circle presented by Subway."

Chosen by each of the 32 clubs to serve as their Draft ambassadors, fans selected to the "Inner Circle" will have a front row seat to the NFL Draft Main Stage to cheer on their team's picks.

To further the NFL's efforts in promoting the importance of getting the COVID-19 vaccine when available, and consistent with guidance from the CDC, fans selected to sit in the "Inner Circle" must be fully vaccinated.

The draft order has been updated to reflect today's trades involving Miami, San Francisco, and Philadelphia.

San Francisco is now at #3 overall while Miami is now at #6 and Philadelphia is now at #12.
