Cobra Commander Posted May 29 Posted May 29 The Violet Grohl album ("Be Sweet to Me") is out on various evil and non-evil places that stream music. I posted a track or two awhile ago. So the one I liked the most of the songs I just heard was "Often Others" There'll be some comparisons for the sound that might either be lazy or inevitable. It's more "stuff that rocked in the 90s but didn't get it's due" than "Foo Fighters" but I think the Foo Fighters comps will be inevitable. Will the people who kinda want rock to be back actually dare to like this or think "this could be made by someone else and her dad is Dave Grohl".. eh, who knows. If we just all boost stuff that rocks, then we'll get an Olivia Rodrigo rock album (bwahaha.. pop is ridiculously hotter than any sort of rock these days, so that would be a risky decision). BTW, the next Olivia album is out in 2 weeks, prepare accordingly 1

zendragon Posted June 27 Posted June 27 I wonder if Beck will do a country themed album after his colabs with Sierra Ferrell and Orville Peck In one of my college courses on Language in America had a chapter on Spanish and "Spanglish" in America so I was able to reference Manic Hispanic in my assignment. And I mentioned this song after the reading talked about the term "joto" being reclaimed in a similar way to "queer"
