SirFozzie
apparently the Super Rugby (The Southern Hemisphere Union tournament, not the English Rugby League tournament) had an awesome final

SirFozzie
Interesting results from the fall internationals:England (to New Zealand) and Wales (Australia) have impressive performances in defeat, Ireland defeats South Africa by 14 (surprising result).. and the best flowing rugby of the day was played by.. SCOTLAND? A Scotland team that scored 41 points against Argentina? Are we in Opposite Land here?
SirFozzie
USA Beat Romania 27-17 in minnow internationals
Lazlo Woodbine
Opposite land looks pretty good to me. I only caught a bit of the Wales game but they looked great.
DangerMark
I think Wales lost it with that penalty try. It took a lot out of both packs, but the Aussies had the bench to replace their entire tight five. By comparison, Wales had already started changing their pack around, and just seemed so flat coming forward afterwards.
SirFozzie
Two big wins for Northern Hemisphere teams as the November Internationals ended today.. England beat Australia and Wales beat South Africa. Should be a wide open RWC next year.
DangerMark
Dan Biggar has had a pretty good November for Wales, which is encouraging; and he plays very well with Rhys Webb inside him. Similarly Scotland have looked much improved this autumn, especially compared to where they were at in the Six Nations. Got tickets for Soctland vs. Wales in February, excited, but also a little worried. That's going to be a tougher game than last year.
SirFozzie
Six Nations underway.,.. So, Scotland score the only try of the game against France, but poor play at the breakdown leads to France winning 15-8 thanks to five French converted Penalties. Ireland beat Italy pretty comprehensively and England survive a Welsh quick start and come back from being down at halftime 16-8 to win 21-16. DangerMark
I didn't think Ireland looked too hot until the tries. That Italian stand-off is playing the wrong code. Or, for the wrong team. Called it November, Scotland are going to be a tough team this year. As for Wales vs. England, bah. Wales had nothing in the second half.
SirFozzie
England and Ireland make it 2 for 2, England easily dismissing Italy 47-17, and Ireland scuffling somewhat against a... not at their best French side, 18-11. and as teams cross the halfway point with their next game, it's likely that England-Ireland on March 1st will be an early title decider. SirFozzie
Wales beat Scotland 26-23, poor scotland, two good games, no points.
SirFozzie
That sound you hear is all the air going out of Scottish Rugby, as Italy wins only its second ever Six Nations away win thanks to a last minute penalty try, 22-19, seemingly dooming Scotland to the Wooden Spoon and facing a whitewash (England and Ireland left to go). Wales beat France in the other game today.. tommorrow's the big one, Ireland-England.
SirFozzie
So with one game left, it's a three way tie between England, Ireland and Wales.. who respectively play France, Scotland, and Italy. It is legitimately anyone's tourney to win.
SirFozzie
Matchday Six: England (+37) vs France Ireland (+33) At Scotland Wales (+12) At Italy Italy @ Wales first, Ireland @ Scotland second, and England vs France last. So, in each case the team will know what the previous team did and what they need to do.
SirFozzie
Wales CRUSH Italy 61-20. That pushes Wales Point differential to +53. Ireland now needs to beat Scotland by 21 and England needs to beat France by
SirFozzie
Ireland crush Scotland, 40-10.. so Ireland are now +63, so England must win by 27 to claim the six nations (tiebreaker if they win by 26 is try count) considering England are playing France, the toughest of the opponents, you have to think Ireland are home and dusted,
SirFozzie
England fall a single converted try short, 55-35. Ireland win the Six Nattions Craziest round of games I can ever remember: 221 points scored.
SirFozzie
Just a bit of "on-the-napkin" math done to compare and contrast how crazy that last week was: Round 1: Points Scored: 89 Round 1: Average Point Differential: 11.5 Round 2: Points Scored 142 Round 2: Average Point Differential: 13.3 Round 3 Points: 102 Round 3 Average Point Differential: 7.3 Round 4 Points: 106 Round 4 Average Point Differential: 16 Round 1-4 Points Scored: 439 Average Point Differential: 12.025 Round 5 Points: 221 Round 5 Average Point Differenital:30.
sabremike
An actual Aviva Premiership rugby match between London Irish and Sarachans will take place in March at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, NJ. Unless the ticket prices are insane I will be going for sure.
