Popular Post Coletti
...OR we could strip the shame from any kind of sex work, especially something as simple as making pics and videos. I'm friends with a few women who are on OF and while they do have to deal with a good amount of creepy dudes, when do women NOT have to? Otherwise they love the option. There's no need to consider it sleazy for people to engage in OF. 40

There's no need to consider it sleazy for people to engage in OF. I apologize if I came across like I was demeaning it. If anything I do support those that use it and set their rules. But while there should be no shame in that for a publicly traded company they might not see it that way. So I was thinking about that when I posted earlier. I hope it works out for Zelina but it wouldn't surprise me if WWE got wind of it and shut it down.
Burgundy LaRue
That's the point I was making, too. We as a collective shouldn't care about anyone doing OnlyFans. Zelina's a consenting adult and there's no shame in it. But WWE has stockholders and corporate sponsors. Should anyone in those groups learn that she's on a website widely seen as a sex workers' outlet, I can see her getting in trouble with WWE bigwigs. That's 100% unfair, but we know how that sort of thing goes in any public setting. It stinks.

And also set up pages for every female wrestler under contract whether they wanted one or not. Fixed that for ya. Did WWE have an official deal with Playboy magazine where they'd provide one Diva per year to be on the cover, or was it more of a case by case thing? Because it went on for a while, that.

RazorbladeKiss87
I wonder why she didn't just go the Patreon route? I know some of the women in Impact and on the indies have Patreon accounts. Maybe the financials are better with OnlyFans?

A few of us actually played on a stream for Valorant recently with someone with an OnlyFans page. She asked us if any of us are streamers, we said no, and asked her if she streams. She mentioned she does Twitch and OF. We asked how it works with each and the gist of it was that she winds up making more from OF than from Twitch or anything else, but she has to put it out there more for her OF page and there's a stigma with having that page because people expect what they think OF is for. It was pretty interesting. I thought with Patreon you're basically offering incentives for subscriber levels and what not and you have to deliver on those.

I know some of the women in Impact and on the indies have Patreon accounts. Maybe the financials are better with OnlyFans? Patreon has a better split (OF takes 20%, not sure Patreon's exact cut but it is less). But OF is definitely a lot more casual and you have a lot more leeway with how much/often you put up content. With the way subbing works for Patreon you pretty much have to guarantee a certain amount of content to be delivered every month without fail (and different kinds of content, if you have tiers). I could see the trade off in money being worth it if you don't want to have to stick to a set schedule/expectations. As for a non-adult version of a Onlyfans-like platform. I mean, it could work, but you're probably dooming it to failure. Onlyfans is already here and being used in different ways by all sorts of people. Creating a separate no naughty bits allowed version will just increase stigmatization. Or just become a joke like Protect Our Free Speech Twitter alternative, Parler (which hilariously has more rules than Twitter on what is and isn't acceptable). Sex workers have been the driving force behind a lot of technological successes; from peep booths in the early days of movies, to home viewing systems (VHS embracing porn is one of the main reasons is succeeded over Betamax), to early payment systems on the internet, all the way to various sites and apps today. While not intended as adult-orientated, much of Twitter and Snapchat's popularity can be derived from sex workers being early adopters of the programs. Tumblr's final fall into almost complete irrelevance can be directly tied to its decision to ban pornography. Without porn sites driving overall traffic, you will have less people signing up for the service (even if they have no intention of engaging with/participating in the "adult" side of the site). Even Patreon's sporadic attempts to enforce a relatively loose ban on certain adult niches has led to a lot of creators jumping ship to other sites, like Onlyfans. Casey
so I'm watching AJ Styles on Twitch right now and he kind of just indicated that all of the Twitch streamers in the company are gonna have to have a come to Jesus meeting (my words) with Vince soon and explain to him what exactly Twitch is and whatnot. Didn't mention Cameo or YouTube, but still.

I feel like Vince probably understands the internet about as Dusty Rhodes. There's an episode of FCW out there where Dusty's co-host (forget who) mentions email, and Dusty mechanically comments that he goes to his email every day and watches his old matches. Er, what? From his tone, I assume Dusty had no clue what email actually is.

LoneWolf&Subs
Is that fake idle fan chatter in the background? Edit: Also on LiveWire being brought back... I was going to point out today most kids don’t know what a wire is because of Bluetooth, but then I realize kids don’t really watch wrestling anymore. The old pimp knows all he needs to know about Twitch already -- it's an outside revenue source for his bitches independent contractors and he's not getting his cut.
