RIPPA Posted October 28, 2020 Posted October 28, 2020 The Utah Jazz (and the arena) have been sold for $1.66 billion to Ryan Smith, the founder of Qualtrics Smith is a lifelong Utah resident and Jazz fan. (He is also only fucking 40). This ends the Miller family's 35 year run as owners of the team
Zimbra Posted October 28, 2020 Posted October 28, 2020 Dallas assistant Stephen Silas will be the next coach of the Houston Rockets. I don't know enough about him to have an opinion.
Lawful Metal Posted October 28, 2020 Posted October 28, 2020 Makes sense. He’s definitely cheaper than Van Gundy. At least it’s not John Lucas. Now when can we fire the cheapskate owner?

Zimbra Posted October 30, 2020 Posted October 30, 2020 OK, didn't see this one coming: Mike D'Antoni will join Steve Nash's staff as an assistant, as will Ime Udoka. I feel a lot better about the Nets' chances now, although they still have very high disaster potential. 1
RIPPA Posted October 30, 2020 Posted October 30, 2020 More people for the players to not listen to! 2
Dolfan in NYC Posted October 30, 2020 Author Posted October 30, 2020 The designer of Miami's City Edition jersey suggests, "Just Bring It." 1
Dolfan in NYC Posted October 31, 2020 Author Posted October 31, 2020 Speaking of boring... The Knicks just keep taking L's. (Also, Miami's jersey is allegedly the final "Vice" jersey, so it's supposed to incorporate all 4 colors from previous years.)
Zimbra Posted November 4, 2020 Posted November 4, 2020 The NBA board of governors and the NBPA are meeting tomorrow, with the expectation that they'll approve the 72 game season starting December 22. In return the players are getting a smaller percentage of their salaries put in escrow.
RIPPA Posted November 4, 2020 Posted November 4, 2020 Wojo says the players will take a formal vote on it Thursday night Apparently one of the ways the NBA is getting the players onboard is agreeing to change the escrow so that the players financial hit is spread out of a few years instead of taking it all at once
Zimbra Posted November 5, 2020 Posted November 5, 2020 The NBA is bound and determined to squeeze every bit of revenue out of next season while shitting on their fans and players.
elizium Posted November 5, 2020 Posted November 5, 2020 I'm sure by Dec 22nd COVID will be eradicated in the States 1
RIPPA Posted November 10, 2020 Posted November 10, 2020 The modified CBA has agreed upon FA begins end of next week (Nov 20)
Zimbra Posted November 10, 2020 Posted November 10, 2020 Celtics legend and longtime announcer Tommy Heinsohn has passed awway
Brian Fowler Posted November 12, 2020 Posted November 12, 2020 Oh look, it's Rockets dysfunction o'clock again. Reports that Harden is "concerned" about the future of the team and that Westbrook agrees, and possibly wants out.
Zimbra Posted November 12, 2020 Posted November 12, 2020 Congratulations to Russel Westbrook on his impending trade to the Knicks. 1 2
Lawful Metal Posted November 12, 2020 Posted November 12, 2020 Never wanted him in the first place Worst MVP of all time fraudulent bum I don't need nobody else if Harden is on my team (please come back Chris Paul)
Dolfan in NYC Posted November 12, 2020 Author Posted November 12, 2020 I swear to god, if Houston somehow tricks idiot Michael Jordan into giving them multiple ridiculously high draft picks for the remnants of Russ... 1
Dolfan in NYC Posted November 12, 2020 Author Posted November 12, 2020 The Raptors are in negotiations with Tampa to host games for this upcoming season. Probably because Canada seems to take this pandemic seriously. On the other hand... if I'm the people in Austin, Las Vegas, St. Louis, Louisville, or any other(American) city that's remotely expressed an interest in getting an NBA franchise, I'd be moving heaven and earth to get home games for an NBA team. 1
Kuetsar Posted November 12, 2020 Posted November 12, 2020 If I am trading for Westbrook, the Rockets are getting jack and shit, just enough salary matches and not much more, as he's a washed headcase, and they have no leverage. 1
Lawful Metal Posted November 12, 2020 Posted November 12, 2020 Westbrook was never a Rocket. It’s all a bad dream
Zimbra Posted November 12, 2020 Posted November 12, 2020 The Lakers want to trade for Demar Derozan? Have they not seen him play?
