Jiji Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 I want a "both these guys" chant to break out among the dozens in attendance during the main event. The only time that stupid chant would be acceptable. 2
Elsalvajeloco Posted August 6, 2020 Author Posted August 6, 2020 Going into this, Weidman said he didn't know who Akhmedov was before signing on to face him. FWIW Akhmedov has been in the UFC since 2013 and hasn't lost since 2016 when he was a welterweight. This is what you would call a extremely high risk, no reward fight. 1 1

It's a must win for Chris Weidman going 1-5 with all 5 by KO/TKO. Chris' defeats are to the top guys though.
Jiji Posted August 7, 2020 Posted August 7, 2020 (edited) It's almost like cutting weight is really hard/stupid to begin with and then add in a pandemic makes it even cooler. Dariush strikes me as a super professional athlete. Has he ever missed weight before? Edited August 7, 2020 by Jiji 1

Interestingly enough, this is one of the things that came up researching that: https://thebodylockmma.com/ufc/beneil-dariush-perplexed-as-to-why-ufc-hasnt-changed-weigh-in-system/ 1
Elsalvajeloco Posted August 8, 2020 Author Posted August 8, 2020 Youssef Zalal is a nice looking prospect. That's 3-0 in the UFC. Still needs to work on his finishing instincts. He almost had Barrett out of there in round 1. He completely dominated round 2. He should have finished one of those RNCs in round three.
jaedmc Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 Last minute of the Tucker/Jayne first round was WILD. Like no pants wild. 1 2
Elsalvajeloco Posted August 8, 2020 Author Posted August 8, 2020 Justin Jaynes is basically Josh Burkman if you left him in the dryer too long. 1
jaedmc Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 Jesus the engine on Gavin Tucker in Round 2. Just constant.
Elsalvajeloco Posted August 8, 2020 Author Posted August 8, 2020 It's fitting that Gavin Tucker didn't lose a second after losing his shorts.
Elsalvajeloco Posted August 9, 2020 Author Posted August 9, 2020 Brutal right hand from Kevin Holland. Damn. 1
jaedmc Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 That was a picture perfect KO from Kevin Holland. 1
jaedmc Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 Just looked over his shoulder and walked away. Goddamn gangster shit. 2
