It's a bad name, but most new team names over the last thirty years have been mediocre or worse. (The Kraken, however, is brilliant.)

It is kind of amazing and not surprising at all that the Washington media can discover the team name almost months before the fact but the sexual harassments and cheerleaders stories was a complete shock to them.

From first glance it is basically last year's logo with COMMANDERS.   So yeah about as lazy as you would expect

The other funny thing is that apparently they consider the year of the championship the year of the Super Bowl.

I found it amusing that they talked about keeping the burgundy and gold colors then show a picture of the away jersey which has no gold and looks like something from the Cardinals reject pile.

Also love that they thought it was gonna be a safe space to reveal the name and get good pub and there is Jason Wright getting peppered with questions about the sexual assault allegations against the team
