Got some decent luck on with MyFaction card pulls and got all of the cards for the 09 Randy Orton event so I have a week to figure that one out. The Tony D/Trick event was a big pain in the ass because Trick reverses a lot and Tony's card has terrible special and finisher stats and he's a Technician which makes you focus on limb damage which isn't in Tony's wheelhouse. Couple side plates for stat boosts and the Zero manager card from MyRise made the difference for me.

The flyer requirements often piss me off more than the tech, because trying to get 3 springboard attacks using someone whose only option is the running dive thru the ropes, or worse, apron-to-inside against a downed victim, just isn't possible in some match types (there was a Live Event in 24 where you couldn't run, needed 90 points in a five minute match, and the only card I had from the booster wave in question was Nathan Frazer. I never came close.) Still, nothing beats the 2k22 DLC evo cards for shitty requirements. "Do 30 springboard attacks as Xia Li, who has only a corner-vs-downed springboard with zero range and can't $&=> dive!"

Legends of Wrestlemania was ok, but the constant flashing was annoying to deal with. WWE2K14 made the game unneeded later on for legends. 

There was minimal flashing in DOR1 but it's not as bad and only for reversals. 

Dor2 had better ai, but be careful around too many cpu's.

Finally beat the Sami ambulance Live Event which definitely felt like an accomplishment when I did it. Only tried the Taker Underground match once and got dogwalked but still feels like it should be less of a chore once I get Taker's sig and finisher reversals down.

Ambulance is by far my least favorite gimmick match. At least with casket matches, working over the arms seems to help put them away. I still lose ambulance matches to weaker characters when they're entirely in the red on arms, legs and torso sometimes.

I find myself having to hit 4+ finishers to win an ambulance match so they're far from my favorite.

I love when the canned nature of the commentary makes it weird. Example:

Lola Vice: (turns her back on Gigi Dolin and dances, shaking her butt at the downed victim and raising her hands overhead)

Saxton: "and a MENACING look from Lola Vice!"

Yeah, my biggest problem with the ambulance/casket matches in general were that you had to basically beat the computer to a pulp before you could win the mini-game.

New patch added the Breakkensteiner (double jump top rope Frankensteiner) as "Avalanche Frankensteiner", but didn't add it to Bron's list of signatures.

Played MyRise enough times to unlock everything in the mode. 

That Cena birthday event was also a pain in the ass. I'm not feeling this year's mode compared to last year. Probably the lack of persona cards I really want.

I got ONE win on Cena with Ilja, after loading him up with counter timing buffs. I definitely have not spent as much time this year on MF as 22-24, but my "4 stars or better before you try to win" Superstar Mode with Lola has been a ton of fun. (I had to relax it to 3 stars for Underground matches and Brawls, because it's basically impossible to deliberately draw a KO match out to build that high)

I am at 184 stars for Rise, trying to decide whether to make new chars for my 3rd and 4th runs or just keep using the OVR 100 chars i built from the first 2 runs for the sake of speed.

I say this every year, but THIS is the year I actually finish setting up GM mode and play at least one week. Choice paralysis, you will not defeat me!

We need elimination mode for brawls, either patched in or for next year. What good is dumping 8 people into the parking lot if the first KO ends it?

18 days til the first DLC, and we don't know who Celebrity Asshole #1 is.

I cannot describe the joy of taking an OVR 76 Kurt Angle into a match with a Roman with perfect stats who starts with full meter, and stuffing 3 spears and a Superman punch in 90 seconds. If only I'd won the match after that

It is. And I'm determined to win it simply because there's a month-long chain that ends with a purple masked Punk persona, but you have to get the HHH card from the Roman birthday event to go further, and it's obnoxious but not fuck-you obnoxious. Gonna try again with Ilja, simply because it's easier to get to 90 with strikers than other classes.

MCMG had their entrance video posted and it looks good. No stats or card reveals for anyone, and only 1 of 4 entrances, is weird this close to the first drop of the year.

New card pack is frigging weird; it's a "greatest hits" of older card blocks, with a pretty high draw rate. I bought 3 packs because the first 2 each had the WM41 Cody that I already had, thus paying for themselves. The 3rd had KO from the Tempest booster. Grabbing a card anywhere fills it in everywhere, so you'll get rewarded for any new pulls both under the greatest-hits set and the one it originally came from.

That fucking Wargames at the end of the first NYC chapter. 

If they were smart they threw enough money at Booker to get him in the studio to yell "Ah! Ah! Ah!" solely for when Stephanie uses the Devil's Kiss (the neck-fucking thing) on him

Yeah I was confused about the new card pack until I viewed the odds. Guess it's 2k throwing the player base a bone? I should have the Damien Priest card for finishing one of the sets but it's not loading for me. I'm going to open a ticket to see what's up.

Yes, you'll get a card for each of the new chars. Last year, the first pack was all blue and each subsequent wave went up a tier, with the last 2 sets being Diamonds. Possibly also a Manager card for the celeb guest.

Pretty sure the last DLC set last year was Pink Diamonds. It was the legends set with Luger/DDP/Muta and I don't remember who else.

Perfect and Sheik. And that's right, for some reason I remembered them as regular diamond, but I think that was just because I played so much as the diamond rank Wolfpac Hennig because they had 35 live events for that card set and most were 4x repeatable

I think that was the only card set I actually completed last year. That Hall card from the set was so OP. I actually completed the Superstar series I set this year and I feel nothing. And I'm missing one oddity card for each of the 3 cards you can get right now.
