A couple weeks ago 2K Battlegrounds was a Games with Gold Free Play Weekend game on Xbox. I was able to beat the whole story mode and clear out all 1000 achievement score in just a weekend. I verrrrry much prefer it to the regular 2K games. Give me fast and fun over authentic and boring. It wasn't quite as good as All-Stars. But I had a blast with it. I'm sure I will pick it up one day when it's marked down to like $5. I seriously can't wrap my head around how anyone finds this game less fun than the regular 2K20 style game. But I grew up on N64 wrestling and that's the style I prefer. The first couple Smackdown games were fun at the time, but after Shut Your Mouth it seemed like they devolved REAL quick.

So I will use this opportunity to put out into the world that I hope in The AEW game, in battle royal mode you can get knocked over the top onto the stage at Daily's Place and not be eliminated like The Tokyo Dome ramp in VP2. Make it happen Tony Kahn. Yes I know you'll definitely 100% see this.

Shit. You're right. But I hope they ignore that. In VPW2 my favorite thing to do was wait on the ramp during the rumble mode at the Tokyo Dome and attack dudes during their entrance. Then toss those fuckers off the ramp to eliminate them lol. It was a small detail but it added another layer of fun to that arena. They used the long ramp at Revolution that was in Chicago, so maybe that would be better than doing it at Daily's Place.

Has anyone attempted to pre-order RetroMania yet? I don't see it in the PSN store.

They said on their website that due to policies beyond their control they don't have preorder for PS4 at this. Which for it being 15 days away I call bullshit.

Thanks guys, but I don't think that's the case. I finally got around to checking, and the only Abilities Beth has are "Pin Combo", "Rope Break", and "Technician". And unless I'm misreading the interface, there are only ten Abilities total in the game, and this doesn't appear to be one of them.

Ah man, alright. I assume there's no way it can be an OMG move that early on, so im kinda stumped.

So Arcade Action Wrestling is coming to consoles in Q2.  It's already available on PC.

Apparently, it was being marketed/developed as a Chikara game as recently as 2019, but now it appears to have dropped the Chikara association.

 

I'm guessing many people here can talk about this better than I can.

Here is Ron Funches playing the game with Funhaus members in early 2020.

It's a better MDickie game more or less.

It wasn't. Beth doesn't have any moves that end like that. It definitely wasn't Jericho's suplex - the animation for that move has the attacker doing an exaggerated flex with their arms while executing the pin, which didn't happen here.

To provide a little more context, I was teaming Beth and Alexa Bliss against some jobbers. I was controlling Beth and took an opponent down with some move, then accidentally hit the "switch person" button and took control of Alexa on the apron. At which point computer-controlled Beth just nonchalantly put her foot on her opponent and the ref counted two.

I've been playing the game off and on for a couple of years now, and I've never seen that animation before. Which is why I came here to ask if anybody else knew what the story was.

I played this when Chikara came to Pittsburgh in 2019.  Was a fun game. Kind of like WWE All Stars but with more modes and features.  I defeated Travis Huckabee and Ophidian. Good times pre Covid.

Developers are saying the game hasn't been rated yet, so they don't know how long the delay might be.

They said it was gonna be out around this time but with the delays that have happened I'm glad I didn't preorder.  I want to play it but it's hard to justify putting money down for something that you don't know will come out.

Yeah, I don't pre-order anything for that reason unless it's a collectible edition that will sell out fast.

Saw an article this morning that said the the delay will be less than two weeks and the game will be available on Switch by mid-March (not sure about other platforms).

Wait, mid-August?  Looking at his tweets it said Steam version will still be on the 26th but the console version will be two weeks from that (March 12th)  Unless mid-August is when it would be on the actual eShop but that would be very strange.

Honestly with the delays they were having it wouldn't have surprised me.  I still am pretty patient waiting for it as it seems that they're a small company trying to get this right.  So it's fine with me.  Besides, I still need to get back into Mario 3D World and maybe more of that MDickie game before this comes out.

 

Hate to say it but there wasn't anything must see. It's clear they didn't have much to show so half of it was them BSing about things. Only thing of note is that the casino game comes out tomorrow which is fine but they could have at least either answered questions or given a timetable for the GM game. 

Speaking of games coming tomorrow anybody getting Retromania for Steam? Hate having to wait two weeks for Switch but curious to see how it is.
