Hate to say it but there wasn't anything must see. It's clear they didn't have much to show so half of it was them BSing about things. Only thing of note is that the casino game comes out tomorrow which is fine but they could have at least either answered questions or given a timetable for the GM game.

Speaking of games coming tomorrow anybody getting Retromania for Steam? Hate having to wait two weeks for Switch but curious to see how it is.

I'll be getting it but may wait before I do. (on Steam)

So for those that may care I tried the Double or Nothing mobile game.  Unless you like playing casino games it's not worth getting as it's a good but generic casino game with a couple AEW logos.  If they had their images in the games or something actually unique about it I'd say sure but I see this as something I'll play for a couple days and forget about.  Though if there was actual interest for a DVDR league on there then I'd keep playing but I doubt that will happen.

Glad they don't want to overwhelm me with the star power all at once.

I guess George South and Denny Brown weren't available.

I would prefer having RetroMania on PS4 or Switch, but if the delay is too long I may have to dig in storage for a PS2 and load up Legends of Wrestling.

That game was oddly fun though weird to play.  I may have to dig up the PS2 myself one day and see how that holds up.

As for Retromania I think it's supposed to hit PS4 and Switch next Friday so if it doesn't come out by then then who the hell knows at this point.

I had fun mixing the eras in tournaments.

Wasn't able to do that since the Lance Haffner text game from the 80s.

I'm seriously thinking of getting a PS2 to HDMI adapter to capture footage for some video editing.

Retromania is  fun. $25 for a decent roster and a bunch of fun modes. Plays more like a sped up version of Fire Pro than wrestlefest in my opinion.  Harder to do moves when the ring has 4 people in it. Clustered.   I will say this, for the triple threat matches it's lasts until one is left standing, in the 4 way matches it's 1 fall to a finish.  Gets harder when you do the 10 lb of gold mold and everyone is rushing to get the pin.

Won the belt with Colt.  Took maybe 30 mins to get used to the controls.    Haven't tried story mode but will probably dive into it more today.  Meanie and Morrison did a really cool double team move to me in the triple threat match.  Some of the moves are cool but they happen so fast.  kind of wish they slowed the speed down and made it a true sequel to wrestlefest.

Looking forward to hearing everyone's thoughts on the game.  I played on Xbox One.

I played Action Arcade Wrestling (on PC via Steam) a couple nights ago for the first time.  Didn't have a lot of time to play so only did the tutorial, grabbed some created wrestlers (Vader, Savage, Hogan, Misawa and a couple others), and wrestled one match.  So far, so good.  The animation is a lot smoother than the videos I've seen of Retromania, which is a big plus.  I'm definitely still not used to the controls though they are not complicated.  Anyway, initial impressions are positive.

Took about 20 minutes to get the hang of it but after that it was smooth sailing.  I would have loved a slower style a la Wrestlefest but with how technology is if they ever have a game speed slider in the future that would be ideal  That or if it had mod support on Steam that could be a thing.

That said I thoroughly enjoyed the game and can see coming back to this quite often.  I hope that it has enough support where it can have multiple other wrestlers, modes and whatever other bells and whistles.  There's a lot going for it that they really can build off of but it may depend on how capable they are with adding these in a timely manner.  I know the developer's been super transparent which is great but it sounds like it's been a struggle at times.   Hopefully if this takes off he can make in-house changes that will help him and the rest of the team.

They are adding Mr. Hughes, Chris Bey, and James Storm as DLC.  With lots more DLC to come.  I agree though it moves way too fast.
