Holy shit, did Liverpool link 5 passes together after the first 5 minutes? Prime Leipzig Keita would be a great fit for this game but I don't think Klopp trusts him for this type of pressure game yet.

This is the worst I've seen Liverpool going forward in ages. It hasn't been the attack of the past two years so far but there is nothing in the attack. Some if it is united some of it is tactical restraint, but most of it is lacking forward dynamism in midfield.

The U.S. women’s national soccer team has reportedly made a decision on its next coach. According to Sports Illustrated’s Grant Wahl, Vlatko Andonovski will be hired to coach the USWNT, following the team’s triumph at the 2019 Women’s World Cup.

Andonovski, 43, is the current head coach of Reign FC of the National Women’s Soccer League. He’s been with Reign for two seasons, and prior to that he was the very first coach of FC Kansas City, also of the NWSL. He won two titles with Kansas City over his four years with the team.

According to Wahl, Andonovski was the preferred choice to replace Jill Ellis, who announced she was stepping down in July and officially left the job in early October. Sources who spoke to Wahl said that players had been consulted during the search for Ellis’s replacement, and Andonovski was their top pick.

Stats:

Leicester City equalled the 24-year-old record for the biggest ever Premier League victory against Southampton at St Mary's, 0-9. The result matches Manchester United's 9-0 win against Ipswich in 1995, was only confirmed in stoppage time thanks to Jamie Vardy's penalty.

Leicester also:

recorded the biggest ever victory by an away side in an English top-flight league match in the 131-year history of the Football League

inflicted Southampton's biggest ever defeat as an English league side in all competitions in their history

became only the second team in Premier League history to establish a five-goal lead in the first half of an away game in the competition, after Manchester City against Burnley in April 2010 (also 5-0)

became only the second side in Premier League history to have two players score a hat-trick in the same game (Perez and Vardy), after Arsenal in May 2003 - also against Southampton (Pennant and Pires)
