As we previously reported, Davey Boy Smith Jr had said in an interview with Wrestling Inc that there were, at one point, discussions about him going to Impact Wrestling and working a feud with Ken Shamrock, but MLW put a stop to that.

In a statement on MLW.com, Head of Talent Relations Jared St. Laurent denied that the company had anything to do with Smith being unable to work with Impact.

He wrote: “I want to address some misinformation put out there. I had talks with Impact about Davey Boy possibly crossing over and doing some dates. We had a very positive conversation with Impact. Scott D’Amore and Impact were great to deal with and we were absolutely open to it. We gave Davey several options for how we could make this work as well as help him out financially during the pandemic. Davey opted to do nothing, unfortunately. It could’ve been a win/win for all 3 parties. It’s a shame but that is the full story. On a personal level, I’ve known Davey for almost 2 decades. It’s sad to see him elect to end his tenure with yet another company on such a sour note.“

So based on this Brian Pillman Jr is still signed to MLW and Kevin Ku is signed.   Good to see Garrini & Ku team together as they are so good.

Also the Richard Holiday/Alicia Atout chemistry is just great working with each other in these segments for about a month.

Since these guys have seemingly made 12 different content deals over the past 2 months, will the weekly show still be on Youtube or not now?

Seriously.  When I had Fubo, they were on BeIn Sports.  I dropped Fubo when they dropped TNT, but now MLW is on something called Fubo Sports network?  The fuck is that?

Update On MLW Contracts Ahead Of Their Restart

An update on how Major League Wrestling contracts are changing to fit the evolved wrestling landscape as they gear up for their restart.

As Major League Wrestling inches closer and closer to their restart, there are new details regarding updated MLW contracts and how talents such as Brian Pillman Jr. where are allowed to appear on AEW television while also being contractually obligated to MLW, as originally reported by Fightful Select:

MLW has been a hot topic over the last week, as they're about to resume their tapings. We mentioned that several wrestlers who had contract disputes will still be there, but we're also working to find out details on the new MLW contracts being offered. For some reason, the language in many MLW contracts didn't prohibit their wrestlers from wrestling in AEW, simply because it didn't exist at the time they signed. Many other companies outright prohibit wrestlers from appearing on North American televised wrestling shows. We're told that some people were offered new contracts earlier this year that would have changed that, but one ended up passing on the deal before it even got to them.

Even though Brian Pillman Jr. very excited about a potential future in All Elite Wrestling, he and Davey Boy Smith Jr. plan on fulfilling their commitments to MLW.

Well, footage from 2003 is airing as MLW Underground right now on BeIn Sports so I guess the deal isn't fully done yet.

MLW has been on hiatus from live events since March due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter last week that the promotion was doing a secret empty arena taping in Central Florida from October 18 to October 20.

MLW's restart will begin airing in November. Episodes will premiere on the fubo Sports Network at 7 p.m. Eastern time on Wednesday nights and will then be made available on beIN Sports and DAZN.
