DreamBroken Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Love seeing Lil J Boogie back, was becoming one of my favs, fun character and solid in the ring. Her & Gabriella looked good together, potentially great team. Animal Instinct continue to rule it every time. Nice promo from Arianna Gambino. Assumed they were coming for a match so I didn't realize there was only 2 until it was main event time. Good triple threat main event from all 3. 2
DreamBroken Posted January 14 Posted January 14 Keta Rush & the Mighty Mights looked great against the Alliance, good trios. the mysterious disappearance of Kara Kai leads to the rare Lindsey Carlson singles against Tara Strike. Fun match as Tara overcomes the numbers game for the upset. Weird dissension for the Dojo Defenders as Kara randomly shows up afterwards, unaware that she missed their match. Solid trios title main event, nice triple team finisher. The feud with Monsters and Metal continues as they brawl until we run out of time 2
Jamal Posted January 14 Posted January 14 Keta/Mighty Mights vs The Alliance- a fun little trios match. And I have to agree with the announcers. Sanchez was kicking ass out there lol Tara Strike vs Lindsey Carlson- Not sure where this Kara stuff is leading but nice outing from both women and always good to see Ashley Blaze. Top Tier vs Kalaki/Sandy/Destiny- Really good and competitive main event. To be so new, Diesel looked right at home with these vets 2
Ramo2653 Posted January 14 Posted January 14 The Kara stuff had me looking up to see if she had left WOW. Of course she showed up later in the show. 1
Jamal Posted January 20 Posted January 20 Parker vs Blaze: Digging Parker's new digs. The old outfit was always a lil drab lol They had me on the cutter. I thought Scout was done there lol Solid win for Blaze but I feel bad for Scout. And the Dojo Drama continues as Ashley pretty much puts in her bid to be Tara's new partner. Pynk vs Tormenta: Tormenta seemed legit hurt here which slowed things down. But things picked up in the final moments. Looking like we may get Santana/Tormenta next or maybe Penelope gets revenge. 2
DreamBroken Posted January 21 Posted January 21 Wasn't expecting it to be a two match show, but highly enjoyed it. Thought both matches were excellent. Loved the opener and thought both looked awesome there. Scout's best showing yet, looked great in her new look, and felt the pre-match video had her in a more babyface role than usual. Ashley Blaze always shines, these two worked pretty great together. Always good to see Genesis, loved her backstage bit in between. Main event was a big time epic given lots of time. Amazing bump by the ref on the missile dropkick, surprised that was used to give Penelope the visual fall. Nice actual finish with the Styles Clash from Tormenta 1
Ramo2653 Posted January 25 Posted January 25 Oof that botched leg drop by Genesis on Catalina Speed was nasty! Also another 2 match show. Main event was fun and we're looking towards another Top Tier/Monsters and Metal rematch. 2

The risk/reward is way too high. I didn't mind the result of the Main, but I didn't like seeing Gambino be the one to eat the pin. Especially after building her up with the vignettes the past few weeks as the boss and leader of the group. Almost neuters her right from the get-go. 2

I was expecting her to be in a strictly manager role so her wrestling today was a shock. 1
Jamal Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Genesis vs Speed: Oof. Yea, that leg drop was ugly. I hope Speed is okay. It's a true shame because the match was pretty good and they had some good chemistry. But yeah, that leg drop gotta go. With how it's set up, I can see it delivering more endings like poor Catalina's. Main Event: the six ladies tag was perfectly fine. Kinda wish it had been a different team to eat the loss to Monsters and Metal as the Alliance seemed to be building up some momentum with the new leader and Sylvia. But that's WOW booking for ya lol 1
DreamBroken Posted January 28 Posted January 28 Always nice to get a longer Genesis showcase and a cool addition in Drucilla Blade but yeah the finisher looked brutal and it looked like Catalina kicked out anyways. thought Arianna looked great, agreed on being surprised/disappointed that she took the fall in her first outing as leader but look forward to more from her.
Ramo2653 Posted February 1 Posted February 1 Scout Parker with the most ridiculous Buckshot Lariat variation I've ever seen for the win was hilarious. But she won a match! If she jobs in the next 2 weeks I'll be sad. Also I don't understand her presentation this season, her vignette makes her seem face, her mannerisms are neutral as worst and she didn't wrestle heel in this match (or the last one) but the announcers allude to her being heel. Tag title match had the predictable partner miscue. Classmaster and Santana have a good match with a lot of shenanigans. 2
Ramo2653 Posted February 8 Posted February 8 We start off with a contract signing with a brawl because it's pro wrestling god damn it. As Booker T would say, Sibley Scoles was looking reeeal jack baby! Genesis and Ashely Blaze have a good match and no one got hurt. Veronica Varoom costs Catalina Speed her match with some mistimed interference so hopefully that should lead into something for them. The Dojo Defenders continue to slowly explode. Gabriella Cruz and Lil J Boogie had a good tag match. Ariana Gambino getting on the mic to say The Alliance dominates week after week is worth a chuckle since she took a loss the last time they were out. 2
Jamal Posted February 10 Posted February 10 One of the stronger episodes from top to bottom. Genesis and Blaze have a nice opener that gets points taken away for the blatant interference from Blade right in front of the referee. WOW really needs to tighten that up. Nice swerve in the Speed/Island Girl match as the prior promo made me believe that Varoom and Speed would run through (no pun intended) Kalaki. Interesting to see where this goes. Really dug the main event. J Boogie has continued to improve and she makes an appealing team with Cruz. 1
Ramo2653 Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Good opening tag match with Animal Instinct vs. Xena Phoenix and Sierra Sands The promo segment for Drucilla Blade was nice. Of course she loses to Scout Parker so I wonder if we're getting Scout vs. Genesis eventually. Also Scout won two in a row! The finisher is still wack though. Extending that Monsters and Metal/Top Tier feud out a little bit longer. Will the no DQ match actually end it? 2
DreamBroken Posted February 21 Posted February 21 (edited) Catching up on the last 3 weeks. I'm here for the long awaited Scout Parker push! TWO Wins and loving her version of the Buckshot. She's been looking better than ever overall. I was actually shocked she beat Drucilla, considering it was Drucilla's debut and I figured she was gonna be kept strong but I guess she's taking over Genesis old role of taking the losses. Digging a lot of the newer tag teams as of late. Lil J Boogie/Gabriella Cruz, Veronica/Catalina, Sierra/Xena Phoenix the Albanian Grappler. While the veteran teams continue to kill it like the Alliance and Animal Instinct this past week, although the Dojo Defenders dissension seemed so forced and out of nowhere. Thought Arianna Gambino was excellent on commentary/on the mic in her post match, great talker thus far. Love the never ending trios saga and look forward to the Full Metal MASSACRE next. Ramo2653 Posted February 23 Posted February 23 Samantha Smart gets a faction! The Enlightened consist of Classmaster, Miranda The Mindful (fka Miranda Mirage) Nova Sky and Dr. Pam Demonium (which has to be a roller derby name for some lady out there). Nothing on Nova and Pam so I assume they're coming from the WOW dojo. Miranda, Nova and Pam debut against The Mighty Mites and Keta Rush and get the win. Looks like they have their eyes set on Santana Garrett who has her eyes on the WOW title so I assume the rest of the season will feature Santana, Classmaster, Penelope Pink and Tormenta in the title scene. Catalina Speed and Veronica Varoom give it another go. No mentioned by the announcers about the other time and Veronica costing Catalina the match. Catalina eats a superkick and a loss. Rematch of Penelope Pink and Tormenta. And Pink gets the win and the title! Makes me wonder if Tormenta had to drop it due to being in AAA and WWE limiting outside bookings. Fab 4 now have world and tag titles and Top Tier are trios champs so it's all heels. Come to think about it, WOW is really heel heavy. 2
Jamal Posted February 26 Posted February 26 I kinda dig The Enlightened. There's a lot of potential with the unit and Dr. Pam Demonium is everything that is right with WOW lol Pink/Tormenta was a fine main event. Nothing earth shattering. Having The Fab 4 with the world and tag belts again feels like a reset. But they make the perfect heels to be chased. 2
DreamBroken Posted February 26 Posted February 26 I liked the opening with the Enlightened. Always liked Miranda previously and thought she was a definite standout here. Fun opening trios match. Good build up throughout for the main, thought it ended up feeling a bit short for a big title change, but solid overall. 1
Ramo2653 Posted March 2 Posted March 2 Scout won another match! It's a streak! That moonsault looked nasty! The downfall of the Dojo Defenders continues, with friend Sandy Shores taking the loss in 4 on 4 action versus The Alliance. I'm sure they'll discuss that calmly in the back. Santana Garrett takes a loss to Reina del Rey due to interference from The Enlightened and they then carry her away on a stretcher to the back so I'm assuming she's getting some good ol reprogramming. 2
Jamal Posted March 3 Posted March 3 The Alliance vs Dojo/Sandy/Blaze: Felt a little all over the place and the outcome was pretty much a foregone conclusion. So, I'm guessing we are getting the Dojo members splitting off with their respective new friends although I think I would much prefer to see an Ashley/Sandy team lol Parker vs Speed: My girl, Parker, wins again in surprisingly quick order. But poor Catalina. She's just getting killed on finishers. Yeesh Reina vs Santana: Surprised to see Reina win as I expected we would get another round of Santana Vs Penelope. The main story is of course The Enlightened and their plans for Santana. 2
DreamBroken Posted Saturday at 06:10 AM Posted Saturday at 06:10 AM I liked the 8 woman tag, got a lot of time and the Alliance is killing it lately. Loving Arianna in charge. Also continuing to love the rise of Scout! Super quick win. Also surprised to see Reina win the main event. Great intriguing closing with the Enlightened carrying Santana away. 1
Jamal Posted yesterday at 02:16 AM Posted yesterday at 02:16 AM Another 2 match episode. Kalaki/Diesel vs Animal Instinct: I was actually rooting for AI here despite WOW trying to sell us hard on the Kalaki/Diesel relationship lol Good stuff here and I liked that the shady ending is likely leading to a rematch Pink vs Cruz: I'm sure nobody thought Cruz stood a chance here lol but it was a good main event as expected. I do think the ending came a little suddenly though. In another promotion, this would be a star making turn for Cruz and her elevation to serious contender. But this is WOW so she might be back jobbing to the Alliance next week lol WOW comes back to Pink as champ for a reason. She's solid, consistent, and is more likely than not to have a good match with whichever opponent they set her up against. 1
DreamBroken Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Animal Instinct tags are always a fun time. Liked the finish with Destiny & Kalaki using the same trick that Animal Instinct tried to use moments before to get the win. GREAT main event that felt up there with some of WOW's all time best. Definitely felt like a star making performance for Gabriella. Really great take on the top champ vs. lower level babyface formula. No chance of a different outcome of course, but they absolutely had me wanting to see Cruz pull off the upset. Did kind of hate the suddenness of the finish as it felt like Penelope just kicked out of a pin attempt, got up and hit her finisher, the end. Could've used a kickout there or a bigger near fall for Gabriella in the stretch. Penelope here reminded me a bit of when Tessa was champion and having everyone's best match up and down the card. Not likely, but would love for them to come back around to this and either have Cruz be the one to dethrone her after all, or at least come closer in a second match.
