Pretty Sure Mikey Dee is still with us. This one kinda hurts Motorhead being one of my all time favorite bands and first concert I took my self too

I think this leaves only 3 surviving members of Motorhead, Pete Gill, Brian Robertson, and Lucas Fox.

Honest to god I thought they were all dead but Mikkey. I wonder if Larry Wallis is alive.

Well I don't even wanna look now because Gabba, longtime singer and backbone of Chaos UK, is dead too. I was gonna listen to this yesterday matter of fact, but didn't.

RIP

Oh yeah... Jello Biafra had a stroke too. But he's alive. For now.

Bo's podcast with Colin Young, HardLore: Stories From Tour, was a huge find for a lapsed fan of hardcore. Not to say that I'm going to shows again but knowing that there's still a thriving scene and the kids are doing okay warms my little heart. RIP Bo 🖤

A couple days later and I realize I should have mentioned Bo's connections to wrestling:

- he and his HardLore co-host, Colin Young, are very close friends with Brody King (Colin plays drums in God's Hate with Brody on vocals)

- they had multiple other hardcore-adjacent wrestlers on the pod: Malaki Black, Danhausen, and fellow coreman/musician Andy Williams aka The Butcher from AEW

- not sure if it was a pic from WWE.com or a screenshot from Raw, but there's a picture online of CM Punk giving him a hug at ringside from a recent show

Above all, he was a big fan of the graps and I'm sure his passing is felt in the wrestling world, even if just a bit.

(Colin's wrestling connections go even deeper, with him and his other bands providing entrance music for the House Of Black and it's former members Buddy Matthews and Julia Hart)

Afrika Bambaataa died of Cancer. Which feels like a guy who is gonna get some "oh wait, I just read his Wikipedia and oh wait"

It's crazy how young all of these foundational figures in hip-hop are.  Always remember, you get to write your own obituary, but you don't get final edit.  So, if you live a remarkable life, but also get accused of sexual assault multiple times, your family, friends, and fans are going to have to contend with those accusations instead of mourning you.  I imagine that's not what you want.  I wish more of our heroes were guided by that since so many clearly did not have a moral compass.

Well, a friend of mine named Steve Goodman wrote that song, and he told me that it was the perfect country and western song. I wrote him back a letter and told him that it was not the perfect country and western song because he hadn't said anything at all about mama. . .or trains. . .or trucks. . .or prison. . .or gettin' drunk. Well, he sat down and wrote another verse to the song and he sent it to me, and after reading it I realized that my friend had written the perfect country and western song. And I felt obliged to include it on this album. The last verse goes like this here. . .

We probably can't/shouldn't provide links to some of David Allan Coe's songs from his Underground Album.

I think I first heard Ice-T say it, but it's 100% true.  Country music and hip-hop serve the exact same purpose for the exact same people on the exact opposite side of the black/white spectrum.
