Elsalvajeloco Posted December 8, 2018 Author Posted December 8, 2018 Rakic survived getting hurt in the first 5 seconds and then survived getting kneed while his hands where on the mat and ref missing it. At this stage as a prospect, we know he is at least tough. Still got a first round stoppage win.
Elsalvajeloco Posted December 8, 2018 Author Posted December 8, 2018 Speaking of camp vs. no camp, I don't think you're going to find better illustrations than Ferreira vs. Nelson. Nelson started out strong and then faded fast after about three minutes. He had no energy really to stop those takedowns (and later trying to stop Ferreira from advancing position) after expending himself early trying to get Ferreira out of there.
Elsalvajeloco Posted December 9, 2018 Author Posted December 9, 2018 Mini upset alert: Dhiego Lima gets his best career win by landing a peach of a left hook on Chad Laprise for the KO.
Hail Sabin Posted December 9, 2018 Posted December 9, 2018 WAR BELLATOR WAR! Picked Lima to win that Fight.
Elsalvajeloco Posted December 9, 2018 Author Posted December 9, 2018 Brian Beauchamp is not a good referee.
Elsalvajeloco Posted December 9, 2018 Author Posted December 9, 2018 I scored Theodorou-Anders 28-28 w/ Theodorou winning the first and last round but losing 10-8 in the second round. I guess you need to fully decapitate your opponent to get a 10-8 in Canada. 1
Jiji Posted December 9, 2018 Posted December 9, 2018 Theodorou is so fucking awkward. That leaning with his head novice movement... how hasn't he been KO'd clean by now? Like his will to stay active is his greatest strength and it's amazing how far he's gotten with that. 1
Elsalvajeloco Posted December 9, 2018 Author Posted December 9, 2018 Jessica Eye went from the verge of being cut after a series of uneven and tepid performances to now on the doorstep of a UFC title shot. Hell of a career turnaround.
Jiji Posted December 9, 2018 Posted December 9, 2018 And speaks to the depth of the women's divisions at this stage.
Elsalvajeloco Posted December 9, 2018 Author Posted December 9, 2018 That was a good performance from Durinho. He looks like a complete MMA fighter now rather than a BJJ player with okay striking and some power. 1
Jiji Posted December 9, 2018 Posted December 9, 2018 This is one of the craziest rounds I've ever seen.
jaedmc Posted December 9, 2018 Posted December 9, 2018 First round of Manuwa/Santos, was basically the Avengers vs. Thanos but for reals. Fucking bananananananas 2
Jiji Posted December 9, 2018 Posted December 9, 2018 Has there been a round where two technically proficient fighters (non-slobs) throw haymakers like that from start to finish?
jaedmc Posted December 9, 2018 Posted December 9, 2018 I'm so glad Manuwa's brain finally stepped in and said "That's enough of this bullshit. We're shutting it down." 2
DreamBroken Posted December 9, 2018 Posted December 9, 2018 Awesome performance from Ansaroff, looking her best ever. Great victory. Incredible wild war while it lasted from Santos/Manuwa! Santos almost nailed a Trouble in Paradise kick.
Jiji Posted December 9, 2018 Posted December 9, 2018 My heart and the main card is just starting. Holy fuck. Good luck following that right there. Legendary swangin' 'n' bangin'.
Elsalvajeloco Posted December 9, 2018 Author Posted December 9, 2018 I like how Marreta and Anthony Smith went from solid, respectable middleweights to top level light heavyweights. Can't say I expected that even though I am very familiar with both.
Elsalvajeloco Posted December 9, 2018 Author Posted December 9, 2018 How someone thought Bochniak won that fight is amazing.
jaedmc Posted December 9, 2018 Posted December 9, 2018 Yeah hoping none of the fights I care about go to decision now.
Elsalvajeloco Posted December 9, 2018 Author Posted December 9, 2018 That was an insane amount of blood in a short period of time. Oliveira wanted out as soon as he got hit with that elbow.
Jiji Posted December 9, 2018 Posted December 9, 2018 Valentina is dominating at long range and in the clinch unsurprisingly. She's so far been able to avoid mid-range where Joanna could be more effective. She doesn't need head movement when she's not in Joanna's range.
Elsalvajeloco Posted December 9, 2018 Author Posted December 9, 2018 Brian Ortega is just eating all this punches and walking forward.
The Natural Posted December 9, 2018 Posted December 9, 2018 What a performance by Max Holloway, those combinations. Ortega was busted up. Glad it was stopped. 1
Craig H Posted December 9, 2018 Posted December 9, 2018 Holy shit, that was a fucking beating. There's no way Ortega could see ANYTHING coming in during the last half of that round. Best call ever stopping it there. 2
